A wrongfully imprisoned, daily tortured man receives a slip with the number "8" written as his answer for how many years he has left.

I would change it from "wrongfully imprisoned" to "recently graduated, daily tortured man receives a slip with the number "8" written as his answer for how many years he has left on his student loan..."

True horror.

She feels his body press against her and his fingers tease her throat. Opening her eyes, she sees her boyfriend slumped in a pool of blood, his dead eyes staring at her.

As he lay there in the warm haven of his bedroom unbuttoning her blouse, the feeling of pure bliss and satisfaction being with the love of his life and her supple, taut skin created an overwhelming joy throughout his heart and loins. If you guys like these you should follow the "Welcome to Night Vale" twitter feed because this is pretty much all they tweet. If you are not familiar with Welcome to Night Vale it is a podcast of a NPR like radio station that takes place in a small desert town called Night Vale where every single conspiracy is true. It is really funny. Make sure you start at episode one because it has some serial elements.

A deranged man pleaded to police that a sock stealing demon was indeed living in his cloths drier, and it promised to snatch a sock should the man return home.

Forced out, he returned to his residence only to discover a left foot and a badge in his drier, though a sock was never seen.

The curious boy looked through the keyhole and saw a dark red blur, to his surprise.
When he asked who lived in the quiet room upstairs, the receptionists answered "strange people with bloody red eyes".

An abridged version of a story I liked. I also tried to make it rhyme. :p

Perfect.
