Kinda different situations. Disney hid the black character from the Star Wars poster because of racism in a specific foreign market, Ubisoft is hiding the black character because of racism in the west.

I think he would make a cool character in game or DLC char, but not the main. Looking at couple previews and his gameplay just doesn't mesh well with AC, IMO.

Sony and EA just released the wokest AAA games of all time which went on to be the biggest AAA flops of all time. Ubisofts future as a company is very literally riding on this game not flopping so they're trying very desperately to distance it from any semblance of woke controversy.

The previews stated that the black character was not really well implemented from a game mechanics perspective.
We have two scenarios:
1.They crumbled under the Chuds' pressure and reduced his importance (which would be bad).
2. That was his implementation all along (which would be even worse).
