For those of us who are lifelong Vitor fans, how crazy is it that he actually made it to the fight without an injury?

I just hope he doesn't mentally break down. Or get a worm. Or have his water poisoned.

He's not safe from that curse until the match actually starts.

Cute. But it's not like Vitor didn't start this as I previously mentioned.

Anyways, this pic made me laugh:

Picks time:

Middleweight Championship: Anderson "The Spider" Silva (Champion) vs. Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort
Light Heavyweight bout: Forrest Griffin vs. Rich "Ace" Franklin
Welterweight bout: Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Light Heavyweight bout: Jon "Bones" Jones vs. Ryan Bader
Bantamweight bout: Miguel Angel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
Bantamweight bout: Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto vs. Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson

Am not even an Anderson Silva fan but I feel he is really gonna do a job on Vitor. Cant wait for tonight's card.

I would have PM'd polyh3dron directly and asked, but I figured I would just ask in here, since the people who always make OT's for the fights are usually the same people.
Is there anyway that for the OT's, that after the event is over, the OP can update the first post with who the winners were?
I guess the threads don't typically survive past the Monday following the event, but I often miss more UFC PPV's than I get to see and I like coming to this thread to read what happened, get news from the event, so on and so forth. Tonight, for instance, I have a kid's birthday to go to, and I will miss the first couple fights probably. I will be pulling out my phone and checking this thread out, but it would be nice to go to the OP and see the results.

I don't know, if everyone thinks that is a dumb idea, I guess maybe it could be.

why not go to one of the mma websites? most post round by round reports as well

Ya, I don't like that idea, simply because I'm lttp all the time and sometimes I might check a thread after something's aired but before I've watched it, just to get some basic info. I think I recall Top Chef or some other similar show threads spoiling results for me this way.

I'd love to see him tear a quad when he starts training again.
hahah yup. oh no wait he never juiced because an herbalist or naturopath or whatever prescribed it to him

Rampage is fighting Silva, unless Rashad's injury is pretty bad, he's fighting. Dude's been waiting forever for the title shot and I remember him praising Shogun fighting Machida after having surgery a week before the fight.

well it's either the winner of rampage-silva or jones-bader i guess depending on performance. if rampage wins though he might get the nod regardless because of the marketing potential. oh yeah and jones-evans wouldn't work either since they won't fight.

If I had to guess I'd say that Rashad will still fight... He's waited this long for a fight and he probably could use the money. If that limping was more than just recovering from being kicked in the leg a shitload or something however, it'll definitely decrease the effectiveness of his takedowns which means Shogun can win. That makes me happy

I don't know. Never really found one I liked too much to go to it often.
Like I said, I usually hang around here for the fights, but maybe I will get to watch this one tonight anyway.

BTW guys, I saw Rashad last night and he was limping when he walked. Apparently his ankle and knee might be hurt.
If you see GSP touch him to see if its real.
<3 GSP <3

Poor Forrest, Silva crushed his warrior spirit lol.

Anyway pray with me MMA Gaf, pray that my power is restored before 1pm and that I will be able to stream poor quality video of the event of the decade. If not i might have to be a nigel at the pub.

Stupid fucking cyclone.

I always love Forrest's interviews. Just an amusingly self-deprecating dude. I also like Rich Franklin, who has a similarly casual and down-to-earth attitude, but I'm rooting for Forrest tonight.

So pumped for this card! There's no way this card can't deliver tonight, unless Silva dances around. Either way my picks:

Anderson "The Spider" Silva vs. Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort
Forrest Griffin vs. Rich "Ace" Franklin
Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Jon "Bones" Jones vs. Ryan Bader
Miguel Angel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone vs. Paul Kelly
Chad "Money" Mendes vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto vs. Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson
Paul Taylor vs. Gabe Ruediger
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Ricardo Romero
Mike Pierce vs. Kenny Robertson
