other than their previous careers in the WWE there is just no comparison between brock and punk

even in the lead in to brock's first fight people felt he could win, he's a total freak physically, has a background in wrestling, and nobody felt like he shouldn't keep going after his first loss

punk has nothing going for him but prior fame, he's just food for up and coming fighters

at his current pace he is going to be 40 before he has anywhere near enough training to really deserve to be on a PPV card, that's fucking ancient in the UFC and when guys are pushing retirement, I mean come on

That's what he should've done while simultaneously putting in the work towards a blue belt, a few amateur bouts and finally getting in the ring against a TUF level fighter in his 30s for a respectable showing.

It's only dc cause he has the chin for it. He survived a falcon punch from Anthony Johnson. That says everything you need to know

Yeah, I've seen some vids of Joe training, he knows his shit. He's never fought professionally though and he's about 10 years older than Punk, so Punk might last 1 whole round against him.

DC is a great fighter.

Time is running out though. He's no spring chicken. Now that this thought has been put in my mind though, I'd like to see it before he inevitably hangs it up. Get this Rumble fight out of the way, and get a Miocic fight in the works.

Yup. Mostly cause Jon Jones fans are shit. He's easily a Top 5 P4P fighter. Maybe Top 3 if you rule out Jones.

Punk ahould just go to NJPW, im sure they will offer him decent money there, he could have some legit matches with the years he has left, its not like he does a lot of high flying shit usually anyway.

And the dude that uses the GTS in Japan isnt there anyway :3

DC probably would have retired if he had faced Jones at 200, whether he retained the belt or lost it.

I think right now, if Rumble beats him, he hangs it up. I really like Rumble but DC is the man, so I hope he wins, and I hope there's enough demand to see him fight Stipe.

They'll probably make him fight Jones though, if he's eligible to compete by then.

The very basic form of that punch was wrong on every level. His foot placement, lack of hit movement, the way his hands are turned.

It shouldn't. It was a fight that came together in literal days and it was a guy preserving himself and was extremely smart. Who the fuck would let a freak strike from the GOAT come in to play there?

DC should be commended for taking that fight and no conclusions should reasonably be drawn from it.
