Yes but the fact that it knocked him out was because it was a big, huge, strong man punched him square on the temple. You can have the best chin in the world but if you get hit in the right spot by a guy like JDS or Stipe you are gonna fold like a cheap lawn chair.

I'm not saying that a KO against him isn't possible. It's just less likely than it is with other fighters. He's a better HW than Cain with better mobility and less prone to injury (which has been the biggest factor to Cain not holding the title consistently).

Yeah, Jon Jones is a monster LHW, and the cut to 205 takes a lot out of DC.

I agree he could've been a longtime HW champ had he stayed at that weight.It's not easy to stay at the top with everyone having so much power, but at the same time, there's no one in the division I don't see him taking down and grinding out with the exception of his boy Cain at his best.

Jones would get mauled by a striker with good TDD. He wont be able to bully strong tall guys. Jones seems to look human when he fights guys he can't bully. Gus & OSP. Imagine him trying to fight guys that can tag him even harder like Reem & JDS?

I have Cormier submitting Rumble again within 3 rounds, but he looked horrible at the weigh ins. Hopefully he's able to fully recover by tomorrow. I also have Mousasi, Calvillo, Cote, and Brooks on the main card.

CM Punk by Money in the Bank. The ref will be knocked out by the fact that DC is 1.5 pounds overweight. DC knocks out Rumble and then leaves to get junk food. Cm Punk runs in for the win.

Yeah saw that after the fact lol. DC does seem better suited in HW. There aren't many large wrestlers that have an answer for his offense. Jon's body type and style just wasn't a good match for DC.

I was really confident of a Cormier win before today, now I'm not so sure. Hoping for a really good fight at least.

DC always looks like shit and always has a hard time cutting weight and he's only lost once via decision to Bones.

Don't see why this would be any different, unless he lost his chin completely over the last year. Anything could happen but I'd be genuinely shocked if Rumble knocks him out, like if Rumble can do that then Jon Jones is fucked.

Shocked? Rumble can knock out anybody. Those first 3 minutes or so of the fight are super dangerous for anyone in there with him.

I agree though that if DC loses, it has nothing to do with the weight cut. He's getting up there in age and it might be his time.

That's true, but he hit DC clean in the jaw in their first fight and DC popped right back up. I guess it's possible he hits him with an even cleaner hit, but it's more likely that he'll have to follow up with a lot more punches if he wants to finish him. And finishing him is the only way he wins this.

I'll be watching this with some friends later. I anticipate Rumble getting a knock down and rushing in for a ko. Weedman v Moose is up in the air. I can see Weedman getting an upset via takedown control but Moose getting the control via striking.

What I want:

DC via submission again. R3-4
Moose via ko/tko R2-3.
