Is it a goal in itself to laugh?
All the guys in here making fun of DC just seems immature af. Guy lost his daughter to a drunk driver. Jones crashed into a pregnant women and fled the scene, only after running back to get his drugs.
I have literally no idea what's going through the head of the guys here laughing at DC's reaction. Grow the fuck up.
The MMA community can be pretty embarrassing.
Just watched everything, bummed about DC and homeboy Maia.
It's also great that Rogan understands what a bad idea the post fight interview (with the loser) is BUT STILL DOES IT.
Maia needs a good send off fight and retire and DC maybe the same.
He never fought Teixeira right? There is a good "old guys" match and maybe retire after.
Cyborg looked good and Woodley terrible. I might be biased but GSP was never THIS one note.
Guy was great everywhere and able to smother people with their weakness.
He was boring because of how one sided his wins were, but was a complete MMA fighter.
Woodley is a coaster with low fight IQ. It would be funny though if by sheer luck of match ups, he would continue being the champ. RIP 170
Worst fans in any sport. Straight up.
He doesn't. Most folks that say this have little to no understanding of the sport.Woodley has a low fight IQ? How so?
Damn Dana tore Woodley a new one. And straight out admitted he took the GSP fight away because of how boring the fight was lol.
"Who wants to pay to see Tyron Woodley fight again?"
Dana White on one of his own champions.
.Sports fans in general have gotten worse over the years. UFC and NFL fans havebecomereturned to being more openly racist and NBA fans have become internet trolls.
Easily? Brock beating Bones would be an upset. It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that Brock could pull off the upset, but I don't think he's really done anything that suggests he can handle Bones. His best bet is really if he's able to take him down and then GnP him into a KO or submission. And one critical thing that Brock has shown in his fights is an inability to take kicks and knees. Those seem to wreck him. And even before last night it was well known that Bones is pretty lethal in that area.
Really the single most dangerous thing that Bones would have to watch out for is Brock's inevitable bull rush whenever he gets tagged.

I don't know how you can watch a guy 50-45 Demian Maia, stuffing all 20 of his takedown attempts, and say he has low fight IQ.His fights against Shields, Rory are my most grievous examples.
He gets pressured and retreats into the sparring shell. And in those cases, Rory especially, he basically had no more offense.
You could say he sticks to a gameplan to a fault and seems unable to reevaluate how the fight is going in real time.
Its a flash KO or a sparring match were either guy could win (remember, his first title "defense" was a draw!)
Good thing I'm not most folks

Rory got TKO'd by Condit. Woodley TKO'd Condit
LmaoI really wish CM Punk could have been a great HW fighter just for the "Coke vs Pepsi" thread title.
So he doesn't get the next fight because if it?I mean Dana has a point
if fans don't want to watch Woodley fight, then Woodley is never going to be a draw
Dana isn't saying Woodley fought stupid, he is first and foremost a buisnessman/promoter
So he doesn't get the next fight because if it?
Imagine if after the Spurs won the conference champs Stern had said "sorry you guys are boring and you don't rate well, you're not going to the finals".
Fuck that.
Fair point. But still, it's Woodley's job to win the fight, and that's what he did.Other sports don't use matchmaking. I mean, the fact that Dana was even dangling a GSP fight at Woodley was all about ratings and money in the first place.

Woodley fought the right fight. He had a few opportunities to go in for a knockout while Maia was getting up from a TDD but it's a HUGE risk with him, one miss and he could pull guard and get Woodley on the ground, and once he's on the ground he very likely would have been fucked.
Woodley could have rolled the dice on going for a finish, or fight the smartest fight possible. He did the latter. When he said in the press conference that guys throwing wild fists get finished by Maia, he was right.
I mean, good for Woodley for winning but that was a really boring fight to watch and I sure don't want to watch anymore of his fights if he keeps going like that.
GSP doesn't have one shot KO power, that's the difference here. Woodley has the tools to be exciting, but chose to take absolutely 0 risk.
He's the champ because of this, but good luck trying to negotiate a better contract. At the end of the day, this is a show business. Nobody cares about your record (McGregor isn't undefeated), the masses buy PPVs for exciting fighters/fights.
Jones isn't talking about catchweight fights. Obviously Brock would never make that weight being that he cuts to get to 265. lolJust listening to Jones is post fight interview. He seems legit scared of Stipe Miocic all that crap about the him being smaller they are the exact same height. Him calling out Brock at 225 or 230 is hugely in his favor and a joke fight. Brock will be dead at that cut and Jones would be jacked. Stipe is the fight I want to see at 225 or 230.
I don't think Jones is scared of Miocic. He said he would fight him awhile back if it was for the real strap.

Amen. Thankfully it was a small group, but still it was more than you'd like to see.
Last night was the worst night for MMA-GAF I can remember in my time posting here. To see a concussed man emotionally break down like that, and for someone's first response to that being to laugh or say "I'm pleased" or to make fucking meme's out of it... speaks to a level of soullessness I can barely comprehend.
I hate Jon Jones as much as anyone, but when he cried and was genuinely regretful last year after what happened to him the last thing on my mind was to make fun of him. I know it's mainly a vocal minority of the MMA fans here, but it still took me aback at how many of them there were. It's an absolute disgrace. Thank god my ban expired today and not yesterday or else I would have went off even harder.

Woodley to Dana.
"The word behind business is 'man.' You need to be a man, and owe me a public apology. And if I don't get that, I'm going to start leaking some s--- that people don't want to be out in the wind. I'm not kidding about that."
I mean, how could you not root for the guy. He's fighting harder now out of the ring....
Blackmailing him doesn't seem like a good way to win Dana over.
Woodley should leak the stuff he's talking about as now he's got me curious.
Every time I try to like Dana White, he makes me regret it immediately.
