Prime ministers questions are going to be a riot. :lol

I wonder how The Sun will change their tune on the Lib Dems now. Hell, what am I saying? They'll probably take credit for pressuring them to go back and deal with the Tories. :lol

If the Lib dems haven't gotten Reform or at least tax cuts for the poor out of this. A lot of people will hate. :lol

This can't be denied.
Cons couldn't have chosen a worse period to be in power.
Apparently the Lib-Con deal is for three years. Anyway, I don't think the Tories have sat in opposition for 13 years to only be start taking really unpopular decisions again. As the old adage goes - oppositions do not win elections, governments lose them.

Hopefully this is a new dawn for the Tories and people will stop harping on about the 1980s. I think people will be pleasantly surprise by the Cameron government, and having the Liberal Democrats onside means that Cameron will not be held to ransom by his reactionary backbenchers. Who knows, perhaps in the next election the Tories will gain more support.

Cameron's media man and close advisor is Andy Coulson. The man who famously approved the wiretapping of the Queen's granchildren as editor of the NOTW. I imagine this meeting between Dave and the Queen will be fun.

I really hope this is the case. But I just don't think that will happen. They have the right to govern and get their shot at this though. Especially with someone like Cameron ( who is somewhat progressive compared with others in his party)

It will happen if they give up on their fucking supply-sider snakeoil economics of failure.

They won't.
I just don't understand why the general working class would ever vote Cons. Over Labour, even considering some of the things Labour did these past few years.
I guess the general public is just plain gullible.

Protest vote mainly due to the outdated voting system.

I don't want to generalise, but I'm gonna guess it was largely because of this piece of shit:

Well unless you have a crystal ball and can see in the future, I think it's only fair that we give this new government a chance. I think Cameron is quite pragmatic and if something isn't working, then he probably won't pursue it. I like that in a PM. Although I'm sure Gordon Brown's path to hell was paved with good intentions - what I really disliked was his dogmatic attitude. Time and time again he shown himself to be utterly inflexible - which was in stark contrast to Blair. I think Brown confused insufferable stubbornness with being 'strong'.

God Ed Fucking Balls - Note to Labour: Keep this man away from leadership.

In the long run. Labour is coming out of this, the winner.
This coalition will most definitely not last.

Balls, get away.
Miliband FTW

Making an MP from a marginal prime minister would be really, really stupid :lol

Well, saddle up folks, because this is gonna be a real shitty 2-3 years.

Our only hope is that David Miliband gets the leadership and wipes the floor with these 2 slimy fuckwits at the next election.

Supply-side is BS. It doesn't work, has never worked and will not work in future.

Don't need a crystal ball for that.

Brown should never have been prime minister. He doesn't have the people skills.

'british are masochists, hence voting for tories' and variations of that phrase is sometimes used to explain it

people don't remember their history, the role of the media and voting often comes down to tory or labour

although credit to cameron for modernising his party and changing the image - not an easy task

So you get the Conservatives and LibDems, I suspect it won't last horribly long, but I will give great to the two parties for acting in England's best interest.
Oh and for the troll one last time...oh its not even a troll I think Obama has more conservative policies than Gordon Brown.

Because it IS wrong.

Don't worry though. Milibanana's ages of enlightenment DEMANDS sacrifices, Lib Dems, Brown, our short-term future. All must be sacrificed.

I try to stay positive, but that is the main issue that irks me.

Inheritance tax and marriage tax breaks both on hold apparently.

Awesome. They really couldn't have justified that when we're supposed to be cutting a deficit.

George Osborne will be the next Chancellor.

yeah, but he's english in a 'gap yah' style very mockable way, not english in a 'this is who we trust to lead us on the global stage kind of way'.

Jeez stop acting like you just got Palin put in as PM. The Murdoch stuff is bunk too since he just supports anyone whose in his best interests.

From the sounds of it the Tories negotiating strategy was to bend over the table and say "take what you want" .

You like being taxed? I mean I understand why you can't just cut and spend, but aren't there other taxes that work better.

I mean I get inheritance and such, but how does the English Marriage tax not just hurt married couples?

How heavily taxed is bookmaking? That seems like a goldmine of potential profits, especially with the World Cup on the way.

"Nick! Nick! I made one faux pas too many and the Chinese are attacking! Where did I leave Trident?"
"Oh. Yeah. About that..."
"What?"
"Well, I kinda... threw it away while you were out."
"You what?"
"I didn't think we'd be needing it."
"You stupid prick, the Chinese are attacking!"

But that's the problem.
Journalism shouldn't be enslaved to corporate interests. That's why we have the BBC.
