"Nick! Nick! I made one faux pas too many and the Chinese are attacking! Where did I leave Trident?"
"Oh. Yeah. About that..."
"What?"
"Well, I kinda... threw it away while you were out."
"You what?"
"I didn't think we'd be needing it."
"You stupid prick, the Chinese are attacking!"

A friend of mine on Twitter said he wanted to hear the EastEnders drum roll after Brown walked away from the podium in Downing St. That would have been awesome.

But that's the problem.
Journalism shouldn't be enslaved to corporate interests. That's why we have the BBC.

But Partisan Newspapers are an English tradition paid for by the patronage of their poltical backers. I understand the concept of the BBC as a neutral body (granted thats not easy). Look I love the BBC, in High School I would always watch the 30 minute nightly broadcast on my PBS station, before the net really took off it was the best way to get true world coverage.

That works fine, in theory, until someone has a monopoly on the press.

I vent my rage as a poem:

There once was a man called Gordon Brown,
He led the country with an eternal Frown,
But he was a bit rubbish, and lost the vote,
And now we're ruled, by a smug twattish scrote.

We're fucked.

Jeez stop acting like you just got Palin put in as PM. The Murdoch stuff is bunk too since he just supports anyone whose in his best interests.
That's the fucking point! You really don't see something wrong with that?? He owns more than 50% of the British media for Christ's sake!

He had no trouble supporting New Labour in the past.
Fixed, and that was only because he did a deal with Murdoch.

Seriously, Murdoch and his son are poisonous to democracy. We need to deal with their media monopoly somehow, or we're fucked for a generation.

Yeah, that's true. I am worried about the anti-EU approach, though.
Is there a possibility that they could pass legislation enabling them to overrule EU law? Really have no idea how international (or national) law works.

Bye bye Lib-dems if they do that.
