Is the night life good? Are there things to do around town or will I be bored out of my mind? For comparison, I live near The Ohio State University where there is ALWAYS something to do.

It's okay, but nowhere close to the night life in Columbus, honestly. There's a pretty nice bar and club scene here, but a lot of it downtown is super condensed. Lots of my grad student friends still go to Louisville and Cinci.

Still, it's pretty nice. Definitely check it out. Lexington's still a relatively big place, but it definitely has a smaller town feel (especially once you get out of downtown, which is pretty small to begin with).

Being from THIS awful county has given me a front seat to Kentucky and WV's hot-button issues.

It's pretty funny watching buck-tooth yokels from the coal fields get butthurt and place blame of their declining industry on EPA sanctions and not the fraking boom we're currently in.
I feel your pain. I go to school in Marietta.

what the daily shows programme usually like on Election nights? I love the daily show but i cant imagine it translating over so many hours, was it good last election?

it starts off at 11 so I can't imagine it'll last very long.

Just switched to FOX News for a few minutes, the atmosphere is a bit subdued. Krauthammer was totally hedging.

Back to MSNBC, who have all the best-looking talent.

Im sorry, but this is the biggest bunch of crock I have ever read on NeoGaf.

I love you Americans.

But if Romney wins... I'll love you less. I can't think of one good reason to vote for him.

I respect, and understand your views on the issue, I'm just not convinced yet. I'm not saying your points aren't valid, they are, but there are views that oppose legalization of marijuana that make sense as well.

Alcohol still kills tens of thousands of people each year. Nearly half of all auto accident fatalities are alcohol related. We have enough shit legalized as it is. I certainly do not want some high on pot, and drunk on alcohol, jackass operating any kind of heavy equipment around me or anyone in my family. That said, I do believe consequences for possession of marijuana are too stringent and mostly unhelpful. Marijuana may not kill anyone by itself, but if it compromises judgement then it has the potential to cause unwanted outcomes. Treating it like a prescribed drug, in pill form or something, actually makes sense to me, and is something I could possibly support.

Welp, if you're not convinced, no words will do anything. However, there was a movment to vilify Marijuana when it first came out. They were nothing but racist films equating it to blacks going wild and raping white women due to pot. That same reason, those same "unwanted outcomes." in the face of well, Parkinsons patients who can't use Pills as only the thc Hitting the lungs works for them...etc.. i mean, you're willing to prevent the use by people at large, in all reality who will do no more damage to our society than Xanax heads, Oxycotin heads, Codine heads, Morphine heads, as they don't have a negative image associated with them.

Its a very lame argument, no offense intended. But your lack of reasoning, with the only standout being "unwanted outcomes." resonates with the fear mongering behind the plant.
