I'm going to order out while watching the returns.

Should I order:

- pizza
- club sandwich
- wings
- Thai or
- Chinese?

What's good for an election?

Pizza: Onions, Canadian Bacon, Green Pepper, Red Pepper Flakes and Sriracha sauce.
Club Sandwich: "I order it all the time, but I'm not even a member man." -Mitch Hedberg
Wings: BW3 Hot BBQ with Mango Habanero on the side.
Thai: Lard Nar with squid. Extra Spicy.
Chinese: Sesame Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, Crab Ragoon with Chinese mustard.

Wash it all down with this:

I hope Obama wins, even though I don't live in the US, I don't like Romney he will screw over the middle and poor class for sure, even persuading businesses to tell their employees to vote otherwise they will lose their jobs? Lol

I was riding high on my Nate Silver election predictions until I came into this thread. WTF is this shit about Ohio? GAF, you got me all nervous now.

Omg I made progress with my sister after showing her that Obama now video!

"Honestly I would be more an independent but they can't vote in primaries. Lesser of 2 evils for me. Not a fan of Obama at all"

I'm making progress.

"NYTimes collection of polls says Obama has a 90% chance of winning. No bias here folks, stay home Obama will win, not point in going out to vote."

Who decided the NYTimes was the be-all, end-all of election polls? It means nothing as Gore v. Bush, and Kerry v. Bush proved.

Nate Silver is not the New York Times, fivethirtyeight was around before they bought it.

The Times doesn't conduct the polls.

Well bollocks to that, just read the small print and UK people can't watch The Daily Show live online. Any other sites that would be streaming it?

Hehe, I admit I lol'd. Switch hitter.

Hey, what do you think ROMNEY or Obama is? The REAL politically important question right thar!

I don't know about Willard, but Obama is obviously both, at the same time.

Edit: Actually Romney would try and take Obama's position but fail miserably. That is of course after trying right and left, over and underhand.

What's the least partisan network to watch tonight?

CNN seems to be in the middle, kinda, but they're full of moronic technology, like holograms and just plain morons so much so that I feel like my brain is rotting away.

Ohio will have to be unexpectedly close for these shenanigans to flip it. I am not scared.
I live here and the republican base is not only very well organized but also very enthusiastic. I am a little worried but Obama should carry the state based off the polling data. Also, minorities are showing up in big numbers in Columbus, hopefully it is the same in Cincy, Cleveland, Toledo, etc

Outside USA, republicans wouldn´t have the slightest chance. Would recommend the movie Bobby on that "employer pressure" topic.

Crazy talk on CNN. A Romney/Biden win? I never knew such a thing was even possible.

The way the swing states add up, there are a few different combinations that could result in a 269/269 EC tie. While there is a better chance of it this year than in previous elections, it's still a very, very unlikely outcome.

If a tie were to occur, the incoming congress (one elected today) will chose the president, and the incoming Senate would pick the VP. Since it is likely that Republicans will retain control of the Congress, and Democrats the Senate, the likely outcome of a tie would be a Romney/Biden administration.

Also if they can't figure it out in Congress, Hello President John Boehner.

Good luck to all of the states who have educated themselves and are creating progressive change for the future: WA, OR, CO, AR, NY, OH, Il, PA, and MA.

I voted Yes for legalization in MA today. Feels good, but the rules aren't the same as they are in CO and CA currently. It doesn't look like can be abused, learning from the "mistakes" of the former 2 states. There's way more regulation behind it.

Given that, I don't know what kind of heartless, ignorant person would vote No.

I really hope it passes.

You're conflating an editorial endorsement with a poll analysis, an author who writes for the New York Times with their editorial board, and a descriptive analysis with a normative prescription not to vote. That's three separate errors in a two sentence post.

I voted no on marijuana in Washington State. I still haven't heard an argument for why legal, easy access to recreational pot would be good for the people of this state.
