Was a two hour wait when I went in Fairfax, VA (Northern Virgina) around 1:30 and the line was even longer when I went back later in the day... pretty tremendous turnout indeed. Lots of stories at work from coworkers with similar experiences.

IIRC It was pretty close but CNN called it a little before 11 EST and the other networks not long after. By that time Obama had won already won though. They were just waiting for the West coast polls to close.

Well, I'm finally off to vote. We Republicans like to wait until after a good hard day of working before heading to our polling stations to pull the R lever. My Presidential vote won't count in MD anyway, but at least there are some decent things on the ballot to vote for-- YES on questions 6 (gay marriage) and 7 (casinos). If I manage to slug my way through the army of black panthers guarding the door, I'll be back just around the time the lib media starts prematurely calling this thing for Obama.
