Couldn't see or remember an OT and I picked this up a couple of weeks ago so thought I'd give it some love. I really enjoyed the first one so took a chance on this as the core mechanics are somewhat different this time round.

The first major difference is the addition of more yarnies! You're no longer limited to a length of yarn that you replenish. You are tethered to another yarnie and this is the length that you have to use (creatively at times). The world hub is more interactive instead of a straight run. The graphics are as gorgeous as the first one. It also has a local co-op feature where you take control of a yarnie each.
However, single player is also catered for and you can carry the second yarnie to avoid needing to move both. You then split them and solve the puzzles. The quality of the puzzles is actually really good and the general standard higher than in one I think. Later on you also acquire a double jump mechanic which also helps in challenge mode or the additional levels.
Platforming is heavily improved with wall jumping, bounding and wall sliding. Your yarnie has limited interaction animations similar to LBP on PS3/4 where they will emote to the camera. There are adaptable difficulty settings that affect the player guide, highlighting jump tethers etc. There are context sensitive hints and a slow time mechanic if you are struggling.
You can also customise both yarnies from the in game menu, head, eyes, yarn colour and body style.
