Until Dawn has gone gold.

You don't have 12 hour parties?

Please. Joy Division and New Order laugh at your 12 hour parties.

Great, really looking forward to this one. With the recent pretty positive previews that came out I'm hoping this turns out really good, it certainly looks like it could be the best game yet in the Interactive Movie Game genre.

As someone who sometimes enjoys something a little different like Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and games of that ilk and as a massive horror fan, this game is right up my street and is looking like it could actually be really good.

Replay value should be good too with every character able to live or die depending on player actions, so playing through a number of times to save different characters, check out how characters die and of course a perfect (save everyone) run through should be great.

Hype for this obviously.

Wish PSN offered a theme for pre-ordering like they have with so many other recent titles. This game was begging for one.

This looks much higher budget than a Telltale game. Apart from the framerate.

Sure it is. But almost all 30 euro games look higher budget then Telltale stuff. Telltale games are made in a factory using a 10 year old engine I think.

Life is Strange looks great as well.

I'm just taking about the value proposition and what people want to pay for what type of game.

I'm fully expecting this to be an adult, video game equivalent of this:

... And I am ALL for that.

Bring it on. This is going to be a blast to play.

Crap. Why does this game have to come out a week before Metal Gear... And a week after Everybody's Gone to the Rapure?! Sony, you only have a couple of exclusives this year. Spread them out! If this game came out in October, I would probably be down.

Lol.... I just saw the box art for this one. This game's going to sell less than Resistance 3. It should say something like "Starring Hayden Panettiere" in big letters and then have the picture of her that we've seen in every piece of promotional material for this game. Instead, it's some horrible hourglass thing? Hope Supermassive's contract doesn't depend on sales...

This makes no sense. You don't have to buy it day one. The game will still be there in October.

Meh, Heavy Rain did really well at full price, and this looks similar. I think it will do ok.

These were the fucking best. So much better than the standard books, which were already pretty sweet.

I totally cheated and went back to the last page if I died early tho

This should be great fun in a group environment. Really quite optimistic for this. They've been around for quite a few years, but I expect Supermassive to expand and probably sign a long-term contract with Sony if this is a success.

This would require Sony to actually give a shit about the game. Until Dawn is out in less than a month. Where the hell is the marketing?

I'm really looking forward to it, as this kinda game is right up my alley, but, I'm surprised at how much Sony *isn't* pushing their only (as of right now) major exclusive for the rest of the year. Makes me question Sony's faith in the project.

Wait, what? The box art is fantastic.

After Heavy Rain and Beyond, SCEE probably have a better idea than most what people will pay for this kind of game.

They're already working on another PS4 game.

This worked perfectly for inFAMOUS Second Son and Ground Zeroes for me. I beat Second Son (good) and then refreshed my mind with Ground Zeroes before my second (evil) Second Son play through.

Sony, you only have a couple of exclusives this year.
lol.

Huh? What are you talking about. I'm someone who cares a lot about boxart, and even prints my own covers if I think the art isn't up to my standards (hello ICO), but I'm more than happy with Until Dawn's.

That is a pretty awesome cover, if you ask me.

Cannot wait. Got my party planned for the weekend of release and a great group of friends heading over. It's going to be fun yelling out the choices to make and dealing with the choices we make.

Congratulation to them on getting the project out of the door. I'm not entirely convinced the height of summer and the light nights is the best time to play this though.

I wonder how many people will just hold out a couple of months and grab it around Halloween when it's a better time and inevitably much cheaper. I know that's my plan.

Can I have some of whatever it is you're smoking? Sounds like a good time.

Looking forward to this. Want to grab it day 1, just need to see if I'll have the cash for it. I enjoy games like this and a slasher setting is PERFECT for it.

Will be a day 1 game for me...

i will always support more games in the style of Heavy Rain, Fahrenheit, Walking Dead etc.

They have plenty more than "a couple". And if they launched in October they'd have to battle with Assassin's Creed, Battlefront, Halo 5, etc. That would be even worse for it.

While I don't think the skull/hourglass box art is particularly interesting, you vastly overestimate how well known Hayden Panettiere is. Her biggest role was probably Heroes, and these days she's probably more well known for voiceover work and being married to a Klitschko.

* Take a shot every time someone delivers a cheesy or campy line
* Take a shot every time someone dies
* Take a shot every time the killer appears

Dead drunk in 30 minutes.
What about the scene(s) where Typical Dumb Teenager #36885 is quite aware there's danger lurking around every corner, yet still heads into darkened areas without a source of light, a weapon, or any means of contact with, well, everyone else?

..an 8 hour survival horror game is a good party game?

Please don't send me an invite to your parties.
A single playthrough is 8 hours long? I thought each was estimated around 2 hours, like movie length.

They're trying to encourage replaying to see all of the different choices in action, 8 hours a piece would be overkill
