Upcoming Vita Games (~200+ Upcoming games in ENGLISH) || 2017 Edition ||

Is it still possible to order the asian LE for Ys origin? I don't really want to bother with LRG if possible.
Not that I hate what they are doing but it seems like I won't be able to get one even if i'm here on time :p

Hopefully it really is the English version as I'll probably end up getting it if so. Also, was reading the comments and saw Doug from LRG's "nice" (in quotation marks) comment. Is he being sarcastic or something? What's the deal with that?

they went through the effort of contacting the suppliers themself so i guess you can take that as you like

The Spanish indie dev behind the award-winning Steam hit -almost half a million units sold, userscore 93%- UnEpic just announced that his next game Ghost 1.0 is also going to be released on Vita:

Ghost 1.0

It's a sci-fi action Metroidvania with many references to geek stuff like Ghost in the Shell or videogames like Metal Gear. My favorite Metroidvania since Guacamelee: it's a super fun and engaging game, has a great cyberpunk story, good visuals, amazing music, it's pretty long and has a great gameplay.

Whoah, pretty cool news. But I'm not gonna hold my breath. It's 2017 and the fact that it will be done later (however long that is) means that it will just be cancelled. And they even mentioned WiiU. I'm probably coming off as just pessimistic, but here's hoping I'm wrong!

These 2 would be pretty sweet as well if they happen.

Dev has been talking for the longest time about bringing Ghost to Vita. I could see it happening, although I'm sad to see it's so low down his priority list.

re. the others, Ink I can definitely see happening... Bard's Tales I fancy the chances of less, but hope I'm wrong.

There have been a fair few games with trophies listed that don't get up getting a Vita version. iirc Zombeer got some trophies a while ago and is nowhere to be seen.

Not sure what I'm doing but just re-bought a glacier white vita... Should put it to good use since I'll be travelling way more this year. Anyone heard if stardew valley will ever make it to vita?

For once I would believe it if they are stating that they had problems running the game on the Vita. It's a demanding Unity game from what I've read. Even the 60fps on PS4 weren't granted, especially in comparison to other Unity games.

But yeah, no surprise.

I'd imagine the fact that the game largely bombed elsewhere didn't help it either.

#AxiomVerge Multiverse and "Standard" Edition is now available to #PreOrder from @GAMEdigital #PS4 #NintendoSwitch http://ow.ly/hUJi30eo78O

Did they cancel the Vita and Wii U versions of the game? At first I thought it may only GAME not offering both versions anymore, but Amazon UK do not list those two either.

I saw exactly the same trend with another Badland game: Velocity 2X. Ama UK and GAME do not offer the Vita version, all other places I checked have listing for them.

You can see the list of retailers that stock the game here:

Only UK retailer is 365games.

Oh, I thought that was just a selection. If 365games is indeed the only UK retailer stocking it, I have a problem. They don't ship to Germany. Only their sister site Shop4DE does, but they don't have a listing.

Bard's Tale (2004) is good for the humor and a decent hack and slash in the veins of Champions of Norrath or Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Something the Vita is still missing. (Dungeon Hunter was terrible)

Funnily enough, the game was made in the same engine as Champions of Norrath and Dark Alliance. If only we could get those games on Vita too...

So I was going through some of my older Vita games and I remembered Rainbow Skies, the sequel to Rainbow Moon that was supposed to release quite a while back. Decided to check what happened and it looks like development is still chugging along, and thankfully it's still planned for Vita.

I must say, the game is shaping up to be something amazing. They've added tons to the game and it all looks great! They'll be announcing something related to the game next month (hopefully a release date).

Whoa!!!! Bard's Tale! Awesome. I hope, like other 'newer' versions of it, it includes the original Trilogy [which are old school cRPG DRPGs].

I'd imagine the fact that the game largely bombed elsewhere didn't help it either.

Assault Android Cactus bombed? That's a terrible shame, it's one of the best dual stick shooters I've ever played, and that's my 'genre' [action wise].

Fantastic! I loved Steamworld Dig (and was a little disappointed when I found out Heist had different gameplay, despite it being a great game in it's own right) and will definitely pick this up day 1!

Disliked Dig, loved Heist.

EU Blog lists The Bard's Tale as releasing this week.

I wonder if this'll lead to anything else from them. Takao pointed out on reddit that the developer's portfolio includes Wasteland and Choplifter HD.

I'd be amazed if we got Wasteland...

Is The Bard's Tale any good?

I've heard good things about it, but have only played the original trilogy. This one is different than the originals, as mentioned earlier. More humorous and a different genre of game.

The original are great, if dated and very difficult, drpgs [you can die in your first encounter easy enough]. they have some issues, but I hold them near and dear. like I mentioned above, many re-releases of this series also included the original 3, and I"m really hoping that's the case here. If so, that's reason enough for me to buy it.

I actually replayed the first one last year... which I guess is good, since i'll definitely burn through all 3 on vita whereas I disliked playing games on my pc.

This was my desire since the Vita was revealed. I adore all of the Snowblind engine games, there is none I didn't play. Nothing on PS3/PS4, PSP or Vita came close to them. Diablo and it's clones weren't the same and didn't even appear on the Vita.

Rainbow Moon is one of the few SRPGs I liked, since it has normal RPG exploration outside of the battles. I usually don't play SRPGs if they're just battles and dialogue.

The Bard's Tale on Vita is excellent news, the platform was sorely missing that kind of game. Hopefully Wasteland materializes too. Perhaps if Bard's Tale sells well?

2+2=5

The Amiga Brotherhood
Never played a Bard's Tale game but that's awesome! Vita always needed this kind of games, too bad it didn't come earlier :\

I wonder why the US blog didn't mention Bard's Tale. It does seem we're getting it... the official tweet said the 2002 version, but there is no 2002 version... so I figure they mean the 2012 version... hopefully that means we get the original trilogy too.

They've aged, but if you like dRPGs and can handle older games that's one hell of a lot of content. I can't wait to play through them on my vita. It's kind of like a dream come true, in that I'd never have dreamed I'd get to play BT on my vita.

The game doesn't show up on EU PSN either. The blog listing was probably a mistake. Maybe it'll be out next week?

Posting it here just in case, but Humble Bundle is having a 2K Playstation Bundle, and the $1 tier has 2 Vita games, Civilization Revolution 2 Plus and XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus. Game quality aside, that's an amazing price. You'll basically get a PSN code to activate the game on PSN.
