Whoa!!!! Bard's Tale! Awesome. I hope, like other 'newer' versions of it, it includes the original Trilogy [which are old school cRPG DRPGs].
I'd imagine the fact that the game largely bombed elsewhere didn't help it either.
Assault Android Cactus bombed? That's a terrible shame, it's one of the best dual stick shooters I've ever played, and that's my 'genre' [action wise].
Fantastic! I loved Steamworld Dig (and was a little disappointed when I found out Heist had different gameplay, despite it being a great game in it's own right) and will definitely pick this up day 1!
Disliked Dig, loved Heist.

EU Blog lists The Bard's Tale as releasing this week.
I wonder if this'll lead to anything else from them. Takao pointed out on reddit that
the developer's portfolio includes Wasteland and Choplifter HD.
I'd be amazed if we got Wasteland...
Is The Bard's Tale any good?
I've heard good things about it, but have only played the original trilogy. This one is different than the originals, as mentioned earlier. More humorous and a different genre of game.
The original are great, if dated and very difficult, drpgs [you can die in your first encounter easy enough]. they have some issues, but I hold them near and dear. like I mentioned above, many re-releases of this series also included the original 3, and I"m really hoping that's the case here. If so, that's reason enough for me to buy it.
I actually replayed the first one last year... which I guess is good, since i'll definitely burn through all 3 on vita whereas I disliked playing games on my pc.
