Upgrade speakers for stock head unit in car?

Howdy. What's the best resource for finding out the voltage output from your vehicle/stock Head unit?

I've bought a new car (2016 Subaru Crosstrek limited) and a big disappointment for many was the subpar speakers. In my old car as a teen I redid the whole sound system with subwoof and everything, but as an adult now who largely listens to podcasts with occasional music while driving and working in general, the need for the latest and greatest audio system escapes me. And with all of the functionalities of the car tied to the stock head unit I'm unlikely to change it cause I don't want to lose any of it and I'd be likely limited to more expensive head units as if I changed it I'd go for something with android auto, but I see little reason to do so.

I understand that for many after market speakers I'd need a separate amp, I'm looking to just go with something that provides better audio with taking advantage with the stock.

Usually cars have upgraded sound systems from factory. My old Nissan had one, and Subaru offers a kicker upgrade from factory that apparently I couldn't even ask them to upgrade in the shop of the dealer.

I'll for sure be considering upgrading the speakers/tweeters, it's just a matter of finding out what to get.
