I took some pictures a long time ago and I just saved them on my computer and deleted them from my memory card.

Now I want to transfer the images back to my camera so that I can bring the memory card to get the images developed, but I can't.

Any idea as to why?

It may be easier to just burn the pics to a CD and take those to the place you're developing. i used to upload pics to be printed to my cheapo 16MB card, just in case i left it at the store, but the CDR method is a lot better. Just make sure you close the session so that it can be read.

most new camera software allows you to "upload" pics/vids TO your camera. If not, just get a $10 card reader and copy them to memory card that way.

I never got the Zoombrowser CD. I got a Camera Suite CD from ArcSoft. Are there any other ways of saving onto the memory card?
Why'd they have to make it so hard?? i could just drag and drop images on my memory card using sony's cybershot!

Thanks demi and everyone that helped. Demi actually started this thread for me. And I found the Zoombrowser CD in between all the manuals in the box. Thanks!

When you connect the camera to your PC and it mounts as a separate drive, you can't simply drag-and-drop?
Not on my S40. i can browse it and view images on it and download them, but i can't upload or even copy and paste files to it.

While on the topic, Canon owners should visit www.powershot.com to see if there's a firmware update for your camera. There was an update for my S40 that fixes the problem of corruption of files while shooting in continuous mode. Unfortunately for me, when i finally got to the page that had the download link, i forgot about it and when i got back, Firefox had crashed. My serial is logged with their server, so when i went back to download the update, it said my firmware was already updated. Looks like i'll be calling Canon. :(

Doesn't it detect it as a portable drive?? Any device that doesn't support drag and drop is shit in my opinion. I should be able to modify said contents anywhere I have access to a pc. Proprietary software SHOULD NOT be necessary.

Not the S40, and neither did my friend's A95. A flash card reader is really the way to go anyways, as transferring via the camera is much slower.
