Some would argue the earth is flat, too.

And if you're talking about The Art of the Deal, both the actual author and the publisher have stated that Trump wasn't involved in the writing process at all, so even saying he co-wrote it would be a massive stretch.
Yes, saying he co-wrote it by providing all the raw materials for the actual content of the book, ranging from his own stories and dealings to his business philosophies and inputs is a stretch because he wasn't the one putting the pen in the paper. Get a room dude.

They don't want to see the obvious, but China and Japan are very technologically advanced.

Trump didn't "provide all the raw materials for the actual content". All of the authors attempts to interview him yielded no usable information, so the guy eventually decided to piece together the book from existing interviews, articles in magazines and newspapers and records of conversations Trump had with others.

And that's why Trump is doing this. He's doesn't want the U.S. to be dependent on them.
That would be acceptable... But China is cleverly making allies, even with Japan and Latin America and many other parts of the world...

Not like the Orange, he fights with everyone and no one takes him seriously.

Schwartz said himself he had extensive contact with trump while writing that book so i've no clue where you got that. Either way, this is veering off-topic so i'll end it here.

Trust me when i say no one around the southeast asian sea would ally themselves with china in a potential conflict, not when they've been literally threatening every country there with military exercises.

I wouldn't say china is making allies but things change and they might create better ties with all western countries for trade.

Wrote, co-wrote it, semantics. And some would argue the government is very much a business... or a mafia if it's asked from an anarcho-capitalist.

They literally took the plant from Jingye by force, going as far as blocking executives from entering it. Read beyond the article next time.

"Took it from them by force" you mean prevented them from closing the plant, upon which the furnaces can't be started again and the only steel plants in Britain are lost forever. The workers didn't want that leadership back in either. It's funny because if they had their way it would just be worthless.

If we sell an American company to China, they run it on American soil and then want to close it forever, we are bullies for taking it back and this is equivalent to mafia leverage tactics. Ok got it. Thanks for explaining your position.

You posted a thread that is essentially political anyways so it's impossible to avoid.

I think we're getting a lil out the lines in here but we can try to focus on the effect on gaming. Impossible to ignore that part. We did an alright job with woke stuff, when i think about it. Takes an effort, sure.

Gee, it's almost like chinese businesses have been playing underhandedly for decades with no repercussions, causing this crisis in the first place. Boy i sure wish other countries took some action against them.

We'd be going in circles if you didn't skip right over this curve.

Something tells me that if Trump sits down with Xi, it's not going to be about making China follow more trade rules and operate more lawfully.

They can keep doing all the same shit with no pressure whatsoever as long as Trump gets whatever he really wanted through coercion.

Interesting that in our whole exchange this is the ignored post.

I mean, your claim is an alternate version of "it came to me in a dream", what do you expect me to do but ignore it?

But who knows, maybe you're right and they'll just strike some unrelated deal in the end. But fact remains china has been a problem in global trade relationships, and is far from some poor victim of evil orange man, and those tariffs are the closest anyone came to actually doing something about it.

How do I know Mario is coming to Switch 2? No, it's not observing prior behavior.

It was a dream.

Yes, he did, but he was also very clear about how almost nothing of what learned during that time actually ended up in the book, because it would have revealed Trump to be a colossal asshole.

Yeah, cheer on the CCP, they've never done anything wrong! Ever!

The way people's dislike for Trump and the threat of their toys becoming more expensive is being used as justification to stan for a totalitarian regime is just... wow.
I've seen nintendo shills on X wishing he got off'd so their little toy wouldn't be more expensive lol

Sony, just do what u did with PS3. Include install other OS (raw BSD distro) and call it a computer. :D

Edit: and watch PS5 hacked to pieces.

This is making me look at gpus for way too much money.

Checking out the steam sale and realizing nothing I want needs an upgrade helps. :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

How tight is the definition of computer? Any chance they can argue console fits into it?
I believe computers and smartphones are excepted mostly because they are essential for many companies and businesses to function. Nobody can justify a case for console here.

Trust me if Nvidia and Apple can call up Trump and convince him to make exceptions for their products imported from China then so can Microsoft and Sony.

Microsoft sure, It's an American company, like Apple and Nvidia. He might be less likely to bend the knee for a Japanese one.

Yeah, but if Microsoft can get the exception made for game consoles then that benefits Sony as well. In that case it would be universal policy for all consoles imported from China no matter where the company is based out of.
