I didn't understand at all how that worked but that was awesome.

Edit: Ok, what the fuck, it removed that parking sign.

That's really neat.

This + that MS mosaic technique from earlier... GAF's future GIFs are going to be crazy!

yea, not entirely sure of the significance of this.

It's video editing. Like one corrects photos or some such, but for videos, and giving you more possibilities.

The limitation is that it only works for static imagery.

Basically, it's an interpolation method where they alter the scenery frame by frame.

Completely remove the dude from the scene and see a chick getting plowed by no one!

That would be amazing. The new camera angles that will emerge from this are going to revolutionize the industry.

Now all they need is a Smell-O-Vision

They already fake the orgasms..

Not having a guy at all would be ironically more appropriate. :lol

This results look like nothing more than taking a photograph and panning the camera around it.
Like those shows on the history channel.

Has anyone heard anything more on this? This technology seemed so damn awesome but I can't find anything new on it anywhere :(

It's cool... but I dunno how useful it will be.

Most professionals will have an HD camera and now how to work with the settings to get what they want out of the photographic quality.

This seems like something for the mainstream to make their videos look better.

For resolution, this could be really helpful for location shots that make using a film quality HD camera difficult. There are movies out there that have certain scenes using a 1080i digital camera, and you can definitely notice the resolution drop between those and other scenes.

More importantly, getting lighting (particularly natural lighting) correct in scenes can be very difficult. You can't control mother nature. This could prove extremely useful both in terms of costs, and in terms of absolute quality.

Hm, i think it's more than that. It's actually a way to have awesome special effects and revolutionary freedom in every movie...

Wow that was amazing. I have never immediately been willing to pay for something that quickly in all my life. Please release this soon.

Source code is available on their website. I expect an open source editing program to incorporate it or a varient of it in some form or another in due time. Cool stuff.

Fucking crazy.

If/when they get this to work for dynamic scenes, it'll be the biggest thing to happen to film/video in a long time.
