Looks fairly low budget, hopefully the atmosphere, writing and voice acting is on par with the original, cause that's what made that game so special.
Gonna be interesting how they price this game, seeing as it's not some high budget AAA game.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption was also good. Buggy as shit though and not being able to save at anytime then the game crashes on you and you lose a lot of progress was shit. Luckily a patch was released adding a save anywhere option and a shit ton of bug fixes. After that it was/is a fantastic game.

Yeah Bloodlines was an exception for VtM. Vampire is a game system, that it still popular, that marks a decline of the stolid tactical role playing hobby into a mire of vaguely gothy drama student cringe. For the sort of person who would wear a leather stove pipe hat with goggles glued onto it.

The Chinese Room has made a great couple of linear games. Let's see if they managed to salvage this one, even though it should have way more complexity than their previous titles. Their latest, Still Wakes the Deep, was very well put together, but it was a very linear, one-sitting type of experience—cinematic, well-written, and well-acted, but not an RPG like this one still somehow promises to be.

Yeah I remember playing Bloodlines 1 back before hl2 was out. Only found out about Redemption through a longplay on yt. And then got sucked into the visual novels and the narrative adventure one released recently (Swansong) which I loved. This is just more of that mid budget tier the ip is known for.
