Well your point still stands. It was like the beaches of Normandy here.
The blood will flow again this year I am sure.
Well your point still stands. It was like the beaches of Normandy here.
not sure I understand what you're suggesting.
what am I projecting?

Its a pretty unprofessional response. I can't imagine why he would have a console preference though, especially working at Nvidia. I think he is letting his assumption of things going on at Microsoft skew him perspective a bit.
what about this?

So is VGLeaks claiming that the latest devkit came with the new PlayStation controller (or a prototype of it at least)? If so, I thought we might have had some leaked pictures by now.
NDAs.
NDAs.
my own biases? I was awaiting that one. I've been nothing but neutral in all threads, I have no biases and to claim as much is utter nonsense. you're free of course to check my post history to confirm this. in fact, I encourage it.
I'm more surprised that you're claiming he doesn't have a clear bias. something, something your own bias not allowing you see it.![]()
NDAs.
Of course you can. Maybe he plays games and prefers the playstation brand. It is perfectly natural.
You don't consider the information that has already been given out a massive violation of these NDAs?
Just revise dual shock 3 and I would be very happy.
1. tighter analog control
2. better L2/R2 trigger.
DONE.

Now, now. I'm to lazy to do that. But in the future I'd refrain from being so quick to implying someone is a fanboy, console warrior etc.. just because you don't like the conclusion they came to from the readily available facts.
Converted to picture goodness.

So can we agree that this leak sucked balls? I expected something bigger considering previous leak
Of course your right it just seems so unprofessional.
3. bigger controller. the dualshock is just too small.Just revise dual shock 3 and I would be very happy.
1. tighter analog control
2. better L2/R2 trigger.
DONE.
As far as that RIFT tweet, I was shocked, mainly because I'm not sure why they would adopt that hardware when they're fully capable of making it themselves. "Supporting" it though with their first parties would be interesting.
Orbis "Leak" from Vgleaks is tomorrow, ain't it?
can you point where I claimed he was a fanboy or console warrior? please read my posts before claiming I said such things. claiming someone has a bias doesn't mean I'm painting them as a console warrior or a fanboy. had I wanted to claim as much, I wouldn't beat about the bush, I'd just label him as one and move on.
I'd also recommend reading the entire blog post, it's so incredibly slanted / biased that I'm more than a little surprised we're even discussing whether is it or not.
His point is that there's no reason to conclude that he's favoring one console over another because of his love-or-lack-thereof for either company. The jump you make in your post about his motivations has even less basis than his speculation over which console is going to enable developers to do what.
So can we agree that this leak sucked balls? I expected something bigger considering previous leak
Read the OP, it specifically mentions a "dual camera".
Photographs are a lot easier to trace.
Did you read the word "imply" in my post?
Oh well thx for the info.Gemüsepizza;46856210 said:Different target group. HMZ is an expensive device optimised for watching movies. Oculus has a bigger FOV (bad for movies), reduced latency (useless for movies) and headtracking (usesless for movies).
It already supports PS3/Xbox 360 and all HDMI devices. It's not really a VR display, just a movie viewer.
Wait, are you being serious? He's a "console warrior" because he doesn't agree with your opinion on the Durango specs?
OMNI?![]()
I understand that everything is permitted when it's happening south of the border, but saying it's gonna be a cheap pc with off the shelf windows on it, aimed at the casuals and making profit day 1...
Not only is the guy not using his tech knowledge for anything, but he is taking a bunch of assumptions.
The assumptions are all so negative, some of them not even making any kind of sense (Isn't Durango more exotic? even if not as powerful?), that yes he is acting like a console warrior.
I don't expect his behavior to be evaluated as such by all parties though, such is the world.
I'd argue he has a clear bias. it was immediately apparent to me.
now whether you want to reduce that to console warrior is on you and others, but reading his blog post and then the comments, it's clear he's gushing over one console and assuming the best possible scenario and continually down and assuming the worst possible scenario for the other.
that, in my book at least, is evidence enough of him having a clear bias.
Well, the specs as of right now are clearly "biased" in favor of PS4. This could change with more information, but the guy is looking at the same stuff we are -- 50% more GPU power + 4GB of ~192 GB/s RAM is a non-inconsequential difference in power.

on a spec level, I agree with this comments. it's the rest of the blog post that leaves a bitter taste in ones mouth. the assumptions that durango will be a 'pc' with off the shelf parts, they won't be creating a custom os, the console will be more geared toward dvr functionality and so on.
maybe he's not biased, but it's clear from reading the posts that he has a clear preference and is more than happy to downplay and assume the absolute worst for the one he feels isn't as good.
Negatives? For you perhaps. Maybe not so much for Microsoft. Who, you know, is a corporation. They don't exactly have your wishes or best interests at heart.

This could change with more information, but the guy is looking at the same stuff we are -- 50% more GPU power + 4GB of ~192 GB/s RAM is a non-inconsequential difference in power. PlayStation Oculus.
Just get in bed together. Oh that would be awesome.
And Sony does? The small independent firm that is aiming to usher a new era just for gamers like us.
Listen, I'm not even arguing that it's not a possibility, I'm just not dead set on trying to make it real with the power of the mind.
At what point in time did someone deduce that Durango has a %50 slower GPU?
Is Durango not going to be all of those things? Pretty much everyone believes that to be true at this point. Especially with HDMI in ports, the speculated resources devoted to the OS (3 GB of RAM, 2 cores). For better or worse, he's claiming it may be the right strategy for Microsoft to pursue, but for those interested in purely gaming you might be disappointed.
I don't really see it as being any bias.....he is a tech head and a developer that cares about pushing graphical boundaries. If anything, that's where his bias lies, hence his conclusions.
