Man where is the love for the Kenshin Kyoto arc...
Bruh and like the thing is, Robin had barely opened up to the crew at that point in the story. They cared that much about a person they knew almost nothing about and stowed away on their ship and whatnot. She had been jerked around her whole like by assholes and deserved better. But they fucked with her anyway because they thought she was worth it. That's freaking beautiful.
Please Buu arc is amazing, especially the beginning.I liked more The Cell Saga. Also because for me the best fight in the Dragon Ball Universe is there.
Piccolo vs 17
The end of the Cell Saga with Gohan as the new guardian of the Earth could have been a masterful way to end a masterful saga.
But then the fuckery of Krazy Toriyama begins.
Meh. Outside of Gear 2/Gear 2nd Jet Gatling, I was unimpressed. But then I realized that the writing in One Piece does absolutely nothing for me in terms of giving a shit about any of its characters, and I now I just read it for the fights. But this is the best arc in shonen history
When does this turn into a shonen ranking thread.
*smug face*
When were you under the impression that it wasn't always a shonen ranking thread.

I thought Boo arc was better than Android arc until I read the manga version for the first time a couple of years ago. There's a notable drop in quality in the manga in terms of...everything. The art becomes disjointed and shitty, cool ideas like Babidi's palace being a reverse Muscle Tower get abandoned out of the blue. It was just so disjointed and unfocused for the entire first half. It got some steam back when Super Boo happened, but even then you could tell Toriyama was just throwing a bunch of shit on the wall and seeing what sticks. Please Buu arc is amazing, especially the beginning.
I should rewatch Kenshin. Shishio and his clique were so badass.
Krillen is not relevant during Namek, lol.
Franky sucks
If I had to pick one from DBZ I'd pick the Android/Cell saga easily.
Franky sucks
The Chimera Ant arc had pacing issues as bad as the Frieza arc. I really don't see why it gets so much praise.

Does anyone remember when the Alabaster arc was considered the best arc of OP.
This is fact btw, GOAT fight in the series too
if only it didn't have garbage pacing and an overbearing dependence on the narrator.
seriously there are multiple episodes in the ant arc that the narrator has like twice as many lines as the next closest character and has more lines than all of the other characters combined.
you remove most of the middle of the ant arc it could be a great arc (Especially involving a stupid starfish), but as it is it just drags on and the good is easily outweighed by the mediocre.
much prefer the pacing of yorknew or even green island (though I still have to rewatch greed island to confirm that, currently watching yorknew again through the english dub but it still stands as the best HxH arc to me).
Saiyan arc has the best art

Then he brought Gohan back to the forefront and then jobbed him after giving him a huge power up so Goku can beat Boo with a fucking Spirit Bomb.
The anime version hides these flaws by padding out the stuff with filler and making it seem more natural than it actually was in the original manga.
Yes, there's definitely cool ideas and great moments, but that arc is the epitome of "seemingly important power boost being completely worthless in the end". I swear, there must be at least 10 stop-start moments of "[character] beat Buu! Oh wait, no they didn't!"
I don't really grasp people saying that the Buu arc is somehow the best DBZ arc. It's extremely disjointed and all over the place, and Buu having tons of forms and personality changes doesn't help.
That being said, I do appreciate Kid Buu immediately killing everyone on Earth and being defeated with a Spirit Bomb powered by those same people after Mr. Satan encourages them. I just wish they focused the arc and got to stuff like that more efficiently.
What was that song in the opening title screen? Literally the first sounds played as soon as you start the video.
Its called a plot twists..
Vegeta suicide was for not, Goten and Trunk's build up (for fusions for that matter), so was Piccollo's attempt to trap Buu in the room of Spirit and Time and of course Gohan.
Really Goten, Trucks, Vegito and Gohan could have kill Buu if they weren't for stupidity and saiyan arrogance.

I mean that's cool and all, but all that does if drag the series out.
