I grew up in an area so white some years there wasn't a single black kid in a school of almost a thousand. Some people were racist. Most weren't. Here's the thing - no one ever called out the racists. It also isn't the same as perpetuating it, either. I'm not making excuses for anyone, and I'm not saying the south is some racial utopia. But blanket statements of condemnation of an entire region because of the actions of a minority is also not enough any more.aswedc said:
