[VIDEO] Skater knocks down kid; kid's mom steps in and punches him

I blame the stupid mother for this.

How about watching where your kids are.

People are just so dumb.

The mother holds some blame, but at the same time it's clear that she had someone else watching the boy. This person (Rita, Tina, whatever) is the one who holds the bulk of the responsibility in not watching the boy.

I can understand.

I have two girls 6 & 5 years old.

Grown adults walking down the street, not looking where they're going. Almost walking into them and knocking them over makes me furious. Furious, I say!

I've never hit somebody though because of it. Yet...

Yea, I'd either sue this bitch for the nothing she's worth or I would at least have retaliated. Either would be justified this bitch is straight ratchet.

Watching? Really?

How old is that child? Like 4 years old? Look at the distance they both have to cover in order to reach him.

Wow so you just leave your kid wandering about in a SKATEPARK and you punch a skater because you were not paying attention to your kid? People suck.

Edit: I know it's about the mother, my post might be misleading

Title made me think he did it on purpose. Not only was it clearly an accident, but the skater was clearly concerned about the kid, over wise he would have just rode away.

Guys it probably isn't a skatepark. It's just a school playground or somewhere flat. They film these shoots all over california in everywhere EXCEPT skateparks. Mom is still hoodrat though.

At first I thought it was a pure accident, with no ill intent from skaterboy.

However, I watched it again, and now I'm fully blaming the mom. The little kid was running straight at skaterboy and why is momma so far away from her son, in what appears to be a skatepark?

I thought it was a skatepark at first but it isn't.

The mom is a bitch, skater dude should press charges on her. It was blatantly not his fault and the kid running around unsupervised and into the skaters path.

Hope the skater dude pressed charges on the shitty mother.

What was she doing so far away from her kid in the first place?

My question exactly - skater still messed up though. If you're gonna skate like that in a public place, you definitely gotta keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings. The mother on the other hand assaulted him - that's bad news bears.

Gotta say though - she knows how to punch, follow through was good and she landed it well. Pretty solid. Full on fight, the mom wins it pretty easily.

Edit: Still reading through the thread. This was at a skate park? Yeah, then that changes some things. Skater did not mess up.

For any and all those in doubt, it's definitely a skatepark. There's been a trend over the last 8-9 or so years to make skateparks look more like plaza's because of the popularity of park and business plaza's as skatespots. Plaza designed skateparks are more popular and more aesthetically pleasing to look at than the old ramps and rails designed parks.

Example:

When filmed from a low angle with a fisheye lens these types of skateparks look more like regular plaza's, schools, and businesses.

This stairset here is at a skatepark in Pacoima, California:

And it's designed to look exactly like these stairs at nearby Sylmar High School in Sylmar, California:

Anyways, this type of thing is a common problem in skateparks of all types because a lot of parents think of parks (of any type) as this impenetrable bubble where they can let their kids just run around without directly watching them. Small kids have no sense of order and very little situational awareness and while older kids and adults do their best to avoid them in the parks, physics are physics. No skateboarder takes joy in or intentionally runs into little kids.

Also, this skater is not likely to sue. We (skateboarders) don't think like that. This incident got chalked up to a crazy mom and a funny clip for his video and/or sponsor me tape. We get harrassed, ticketed, arrested, boards confiscated and occasionally people try to fight us for skating our spots and parks. It's just become apart of the culture.

Should press charges against that idiot woman. Kid had no business running around unsupervised in a skate park. Dude was just minding his own buisness and the kid seems to run straight into him.

I wanted the guy to knock her socks off honestly.

Obviously if she's acting like that it's because she has her back covered, otherwise she would be her natural coward self.

Oh well.

What the fuck is this whole "press charges" bullshit? Dude would have to be a major bitch to do that hugh

Guy does skate trick. Collides with kid from out of nowhere at 0:05.

First time I watched, I thought the kid ran into the guy on purpose. Im sure he was just being a wild ass kid, but the way it looked I have no idea how the kid didn't see the guy at that angle....he ran straight at him. Maybe. just a poor judge of speed.

I would have never let her that close to me. But If a woman is willing to throw punches and act like a man then treat her like one, if she acts like this woman. I probably would've shoved that bitch though.

Yeah I'm sure the kid had it all planned. The guy hits the kid on accident, but he hits the kid because of the move he does which widens his body and slows his motion, ending up hitting the kid.

Obviously the mom is straight up trailer park trash for being 3 miles away from the kid and then walking with no care in the world aside from her pride being hurt.

In my younger days I probably would have just ate that punch and walked off because I was raised not to hit women no matter the circumstance. 28 year old Baybee, however, would probably put her on her ass.

Look at the gif. The guy's trick is rotated on a nearly perfect line (compare his position to the line on the concrete). That kid, at the time he entered the frame, was running straight into the skater regardless of the trick. No he wasn't trying to get hit by the skater but kids at that age don't have a good concept of danger. He wasn't thinking at all about the possibility of the skater hitting him. Just running, having careless fun.

It's not the kids fault but it's not the skateboarders fault either. The very definition of an accident.

He made a mistake, hit the kid, she made a mistake, got angry and punched the guy. Fucking hell at some of you in this thread. She over reacted, sure, but he was skating in a public space and did take out a little kid. I mean, if you're skating in a public space you really ought to be more vigilant. As in, look way ahead of you (especially travelling at these speeds), not just the immediate vicinity.

No reason to call anyone a bitch or whatever, or condone fighting back. And yes, sometimes children do run off. It's natural.

Can't believe some of you are actually supporting hitting her back lol. Whilst she completely over reacted (probably in the heat of the moment), she has a right to be angry. Hitting back a mother for hitting you after you hit her little kid is one of the pussiest things I've heard in a long time. Take the fucking hit like a man and just go home.

It's clearly the dudes fault though, he went up for the twist right in front of the kid. His carelessness could have really injured that kid. He's lucky all he got that day was sick right hook.

Wasn't this at a skate park?

It's a skatepark. The kid should not have been allowed to run around in that space anymore than kids aren't allowed to run around in a public street.

Oh it's actually a skate park? Does it have signage for it? Just looked like a normal park given non skaters walking around. But anyway, my post still stands. Just more of an onus on the mother than before, but neither person is completely out of fault. He certainly should not have hit her back, which by the way I'm glad he was civil and sensible enough not to do.

Yeah, your post still stands,,, just admit you were wrong. It's a stake park, he was perfectly within his right to skate. The kid ran in front and got hit, that's an accident, the kid shouldn't have been there, that was on the parent. She punched him, that's not an accident. It's clear who was at fault and who wasn't.

What the fuck?

I came into this thread expecting some justice to be handed out in an amusing fashion. Instead I see an accident that I'm going to assume resulted in no real injury and a crazy person throwing punches at someone who obviously is extremely sorry for the incident, and showing far more concern for the child.

Kid was skateboarding too...

Straight from my YouTube comment: "If I could meet this skateboarder in real life I'd love to shake his hands, he demonstrated great self control and did everything he could to keep from hurting the kid further (falling with has legs straight and his hands forward, removing the deck immediately from under his legs, and asking if he was okay.)
The mom is a bitch for letting her kid run around unsupervised in a SKATE PARK and then punching him. She didn't even ask her friend if her son was okay. Seriously, this guy is awesome."

Yeah, that guy took it well

No way. That kid came out of nowhere and practically ran into him. Clearly an accident.

That said, I'm not into the idea of hitting a lady, except in self defense. Surprised the skater didn't crack her one back.

Not at all.

Next week we'll have a vid of a kid running on to a soccer field in the middle of a game and catching a ball in the face and you'll be blaming the players.

Fuck that unless it was my fiance/mother/sister if anyone of any gender hits me they are getting it back twofold.

Equal rights AND equal lefts.

The best part of the video is right after the woman punches him he goes "What the fuuuuu" and it cuts out. After angrily watching the video 5 times or so I realized how funny it was.

Lady is a huge bitch, really wonder what happened afterwards.

Yes. I hate when videos cut off right before the juicy bits.
