Lol. Just sent a friend request to Yoshida. If any of you Vitabros and/or cats have a Wii U, feel free to send me an invite. NNID/PSN ID = LagunaX321

Trying the Youtube app post update (in the US btw), really nice. Haven't tried playing video with it but the video playback was already stellar. Now the added functions in at this time make it about as good as the browser based site minus all the perks of plugins on PC.

On a separate note, why does the Vita disconnect from Wifi after like 5-25 minutes in random intervals. Sometimes while browsing or downloading I get random stops and I have to go into settings and disable-enable wifi again. Is there something in router settings or in Vita I can change to make this not happen?

Oh damn, the badman games were made by Acquire, which in fact already released a game on Vita -> Orgarhythm & Sumioni. I hope they continue making games for it even though Orga and Sumioni probably sold like shit :/

Acquire were also involved with Sumioni, and Shinobido 2. I believe they were also involved with the Badman calendar app on Vita. Acquire were acquired by Gungho, who are a big Vita supporter with Ragnarok Odyssey, Dokuro, and Picotto Knights.

I did my part. Orga is quite fun.

Is it? Tempted to pick it up just to support them. Short blurb why you like it?

Ah, nice. Might give Dokuro a whirl then after all. These guys seem like a company we should support considering all the games they publish on Vita.

Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, anytime something fun or exciting happens, you make it..not..that way. I hate...so much...about the things you choose to be.

Orgarhythm is a hard game to recommend to nearly anyone because it's so unlike anything else out there that it's hard to give a point of comparison to explain what it's like. But i'll try...

The gameplay basically works like this... there is a giant guy (a god, i believe, in the game's lore) walking and he has followers. You don't control him, he walks on his own. The object of the gameplay is to command your followers to attack all the enemies that want to kill this god. You do this by taping commands on the screen and then using swiping gestures to basically paint the route that you want them to take.

The thing that makes it all work is that if you do your taps and swipes to the beat of the music you get more followers and they do more damage. So it actually turns into a rhythm strategy game.

When you get in the zone with the game it feels wonderful, the strategy isn't the deepest thing in the world (you have different colored troops who have strengths and weaknesses vs different colored enemies... and then you get different troop types so you can send in foot soldiers while firing from afar with archers) and the rhythm isn't nearly as complex as, say, expert on Frequency. But mixed together it's pretty wonderful.

Drawbacks are that it's kinda obtuse. Very little is explained. I died many times before it clicked. In fact I almost gave up on the game completely. Also there is some trial and error as the enemies can surprise you. They always spawn in the same spots though so part of it is just learning the levels and I know not everyone will love that.

Another plus is that there are boss fights which are very cool.

Another minus is the game is kinda short but the replayability is pretty decent.

And sometimes I just completely lose the beat to the music. The music is good but it's not exactly perfect for this type of game. Well some of it atleast. It gets weirdly ambient and not beat-heavy, which as you may guess doesn't help you keep time much. Some songs more than others.

For those who aren't following the PSASBR thread, EGM has screenshots of the new Heavenly Sword x Wipeout Stage along with everyone's favorite Vita character.

WTF is that stage! That looks great, haha!

Hm, you make it sound quite a bit like Patapon, did you play that? Thanks for the impressions btw :)

Btw, apparently 2.01 didnt fix Near not auto updating :(

Somehow I have not played a patapon game yet. I don't know why. I should remedy that.

Definitely recommended. I think you can skip over 1 though if you have no urge to play every game in a series and skip right to 2. They added a few features in 2 and I think its the best in the series.

EARLY 2013

Cool, thanks.

Every once in a while, Sony will defy the odds and put some neat feature in the Vita that nobody else has. In this case, being able to browse your subscription videos while watching a video on the Youtube app. I do this all the time on my PC via two separate windows, and I wouldn't have even thought about having it in a mobile device. So awesome. I realize this is a really niche feature but it's great for me.

My replacement Vita is here. No dead pixels. My HORI screen protector came in too and I got it on with no dust.

Yessss.

Also I just beat VLR and it was amazing. On to Persona!

Just got a free copy of All-Stars. My brother convinced me to try to use the free Vita copy that came with his PS3 version (since he doesn't have a Vita). Everywhere I have looked says it's not possible, but it is!

edit- i think I spoke too soon. It is definitely asking for an online pass. Oh well, at least I can play single for free I guess.

edit 2 - OK nvm the Online Pass did need to be downloaded but it didn't cost anything on the store. Free game, yay!

Huh, how does that work. You guys have different PSNs right?

I'm starting Uncharted now, I'm hoping I enjoy this too. :D

It's good but it has lots of touch screen shit thrown in just for the sake of it.

Some of it works well but some doesn't (touch screen boss fights can fuck right off).

Even so, the story is great, characters brilliant as ever, some great locations and lovely gameplay. My favourite Uncharted game in the series. Enjoy.

Yep. Apparently it's not even an unknown thing. I thought you had to activate the Vita version on the same PSN account that you activate the PS3 Online Pass on, but you don't. You can use the free Vita version on any other PSN account the one time.

Haven't gotten far but so far it seems like 99% of it is optional stuff and then you can ignore it for normal controls.

So I backed up my 4GB memory card holding a digital copy of P4G and its associated saves to the PS3, but when I look under Game -> PS Vita System Application Utility it says:

There are no content items.

Is this normal?

As long as you can see it in CMA (on Vita) under PS3 > Vita, I think you're *cough*golden*cough*.

Hell, until recently, PS3 couldn't even recognize trophies that you earned on Vita.

A lot isn't optional though. Don't you need to use it to finish almost every melee? Climbing is optional except when a hand-hold crumbles and you gotta swipe to grab hold of another. As well as the boss fights you will see later being not optional.

I actually found the climbing where you touchscreen draw the path to work VERY well. I used it quite a bit just to save wear on my x button.

And new update? Gotta turn on my vita. Hoping to finish gravity rush tonight so I can go back to focusing on my studies. -_-
