I don't like Dokuro. I find it incredibly boring. Like painfully boring.

And everyone in this thread that doesn't get PSASBR is a bad person and should feel bad.

Yeah I can see how you'd think it's boring. It's a hard puzzle game with a visual style, while charming, never really changes from when you first boot up the game. It's certainly not a game I'll be playing for hours at a time, but it's fun to play for a level or two at a time.

And yeah, I'm probably not going to buy Playstation All-Stars. I've got more than enough fighting games that are vastly more interesting to play.

Would it be accurate to compare Dokuro to Limbo?

I'm pretty sure limbo is more like an adventure game with puzzles that come up while you progress through the journey, while Dokuro is really just a pure puzzle game. Every level in Dokuro basically looks exactly the same.

Just looked at this week's The Drop. Didn't realise there was so much out on Vita this week

Damn, I guess it'll either be Oct. 30 or sometime in November (if even at all) for the digital version of Technika Tune. Screw you for keeping us in the dark, Penta. It's not like we were interested in your completely unmarketed game or anything.

more than enough fighting games
Lies. There are never enough fighting games. ;)

There you go. At least if you're going to push me on the subject. :P
(I really don't care who gets it, but I can tell you that I don't enjoy the game and will probably only entertain it if my friends are still playing when it hits the bargain bin and I can get a cross-buy copy for under $30...)

As my buddy uraizen would state, Sony Smashcore is not a fighter. It is a party game. :lol

I was joking, btw. I just change the titles around on famousmortimer's post. :p

Although, I do really like PSASBR and not Dokuro. You aren't a bad person if you don't want to get it, though, lol.

I do find it hard to understand how someone would find PSASBR boring. I can get if they don't LIKE it, but how could it be boring? I mean, I don't like CoD, but I don't think it's boring. I just don't like the game.

I know I'm buying pretty much everything that comes out October 30. Praying that Technika Tune is not a part of that since I'm broke enough already.

the only fighting game I need is Tekken Tag 2 and PSABR. TTT2 for practicing juggle to prepare for my weekly online match with my friends, and PSABR for casual fun here and there, I just hope there's a lot of single player content and unlockables for PSABR.

What's the point of playing a party game online?

You can slam them on the mic at the end - you have to be pretty quick in the beta though :P

Just easily killed 30 minutes waiting for the new boardwalk empire...great game, definitely picking it up!

lol I'm not sure that yelling at strangers is all that appealing to me :P

I was just teasing though. I don't really play games online anyway, not even with friends.

I find the fighting mechanics to be silly. It's a bunch of small characters jumping around like idiots trying to hit with attacks that have zero oomph so you can unleash a super attack. Most games i don't like i can see the attraction (like the aforementioned COD)... but with this game I don't get it.

I could see it not being boring with 4 people on a couch. But single player or online... fuckkkkk.

And Dokuro is a masterpiece. The art is amazing, it controls brilliantly, the puzzles are devilishly clever. It's the antithesis to Super Sony Brawl whatever.

Yeah, I wish attacks and characters felt heavier in PSABR. One of the downsides.

This is part of it. Plus it feels too simple in terms of controls (not as simple as original smash, mind you). Add that to the game system and a lack of interest in most of the characters on the roster, and I'm really not interested. It's a good looking game, I love that it runs at 60fps and online seemed pretty smooth, also that it's the first cross-buy retail title.

Is the presentation actually modest, or is this just for the beta? I assumed they would at least try to approach SSB's gargantuan amount of content, if not quite match it.

Haha, then yes, you don't need Plus for it. You could have gone on to the PS Store to check for the past week, lol

ooh. damn, spend a good while looking around the store and couldn't find it before. Used search and eventually found the beta between all those videos lol.

fucking sony :(

I don't get PSABR either. It's neither a good fighter nor a celebration of PS characters. Presentation wise feels really cheap and characters look awful on the tiny vita screen.

I'd like to try the full version but judging from the beta, it's a big POS. I don't like SSB either but at least that game is full of fan service wankery.

Really? Just hit new releases at top, its been first at top of list all week. New Releases tab is quickest way to get anything new except videos.

wow, never knew that. always thought new releases would be in the gallery of squares at the top o_O.

anyhow played 2 matches. Seems like a fun enough game. It's quite hard to follow shit on the vita screen though...

is the beta on ps3 too? Might give that a try.

The gallery of squares at the top is kind of features titles. The beta's on PS3, too, but that one does require Plus.

Until next Tuesday I believe, when it will be open for all also on PS3.

And it's hard to follow what's going on even on the PS3. Game's a mess.

Anyone help. Music unlimited problem.

Subs are in order, ps3 works fine.

On vita it loads. as soon as i play a song it just cycles to the next one as soon as it should start to play, after a few cycles says no playable song found.

Get the same on, channels, playlists and offline playlists. Have removed the app and redownloaded but its the same?

It seems to be fine for me. Do you have the latest version of the application?

That's Sonyuper Party Game Brothers for you. 4 players fighting game really doesn't work unless it's 1-on-1 with two players sitting out to be tagged in.

I rated it 1 star (Kyon am cry on PSN) simply because it's just Sony's smash clone and I didn't like Smash either. I bought Melee for like $20 cheap and maybe played no more than 30 mins of it before being turned off because it's too busy and not a fighting game.

The one thing that Sony Smash does over Super Smash is take the fighting game super bar convention and implemented it with a "KO" system. Better (IMO) than mashing A/B (or whatever the Sony equiv is) to build up a 100% bar beyond 100% to the 500% for an easier KO/Smash attack.

I'll probably still buy it for Nathan Drake and then cut myself in rage over buying a cash-in that isn't even a fighting game. Gawd.

You are so weak.

brb buying Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D because Chris Redfield is in it

Too bad
Chris is Roid Rage Chris and not Slim Sexy Biohazard 1 Chris
, then maybe that'd be worthwhile. (Nah, it wouldn't since I already have Bio 4-5 to tie me over on that front)

Nah, I'll probably get it on sale or something and then go "waste of cash" like I did Smash. Me being weak is finally buying Street vs Juggle on this for the sake of getting Cody for free even though I know I'm probably going to hate the game and the online will be dead in hours like it's competitive scene is.

I'm only considering it because of the Best Buy 2-for-1 this week. I'll still feel icky over buying that game twice, but, in all fairness, it's pretty neat seeing what Capcom did on the Tekken side of things. Having it on Vita may make me like it more, too.

I haven't honestly played it because 1) Juggleken characters I don't really care about 2) gems and 3) DLC [add in 4) competitive/online died 5) Capcom trying to bail water from a sinking ship instead of just dropping gems and giving the DLC characters out free instead of week 1/PSN and new copies of the PSP2 verison...] and yeah... I'm getting it because they're mostly offering the DLC characters free and if it's like any pre-order title on PSN only week one is when you get the bonuses so I might as well jump on the free characters now instead of beating around the bush and paying for it later. :/
