So basically you are that distant cousin I have never seen before and never turns up for family gatherings.

I am the one that brings the ONE pack of cheap sausages to the family BBQ.
Edit: oh wow what a terrible top of page post!
ERm....buy Gravity Rush! And MotorStorm RC!
And if I dont mention Mutant Blobs Attack, Carl will find me and take away my Vitabro's badge.

Yeah I know, I read this thread everyday, I have seen all your posts lol (and that is a feat in itself.)
I am sure my wife would like it, but damnit, I bought this Vita so I could play games and read GAF whilst she is using the TV.

Haha, if you don't enjoy the genre there's no reason to buy it. I was just explaining why i go on about it all of the time :)

I liked Mutant Blobs Attack... on PC, where it runs at a good framerate unlike the crummy 30 fps of the Vita version.

Lol, ok

I've been thinking of picking up a couple of games on PSN to give my Vita more love, how does this sound?:

Super Crate Box (The price alone makes me want this)
Mutant Blobs Attack (I love platformers and I constantly hear the GAF love of this game)
Ys Seven (I loved Oath in Felghana)
Half Minute Hero (Played a friend's copy a couple of years ago and fell in love with the game)

I could of course, pick up three of these copies on Steam but I think I'd prefer to play them on my Vita.

I insist on 60fps on my comfycouch PC that I built myself, but on my handheld device that is new and not fully optimised for yet...30fps is fine by me.
Well if you pay a ton of money specifically for stuff like 60 fps, that's understandable, but "crummy" isn't exactly the word I would use to describe 30 fps. Under any circumstances.

I almost bought Zero Escape, but the review I read said I'd be an idiot not to play 999 first. Well Mr Reviewer, not everybody owns or cares to own a Nintendo DS.

Guess I'll get SF x T

I've tried this final fight at least 10 times now and can't get past the 2nd swipe most of the time. ffs 98% awesome game, 2% shite.

I know, it's really bad. All the bosses in Uncharted sucks, except for U2.

Sounds great, some alternatives:
- Aqua Kitty or Rebel, other two great PSM titles
- Rayman and LBP are other great platformers on the Vita. You should try loco roco too if you haven't. You can play the demo of midnight carnival on the Vita, it different than the rest though.
- Some other PSP games: Ultimate Ghost & Goblins and Gurumin. Both are usually overlooked and are great IMHO.

Only played SCB and Mutant Blobs out of those, but they sound like some good choices to me :)

Vitabros! Help!

I'm caving in, I was trying to hold off on buying anything until RO hit next week because I knew it would keep me occupied...but I just bought SFxT.

The seal has been broken, there are too many damn games I want. I fear my wallet will just take on a mind of its own. Somebody get this handheld away from me. I never asked for this!

Give it to me.
That'll solve the problem.

Too many games you say? Now you're a real Vitabro.

Is anyone taking advantage of all the b2g1 deals popping around?

I mean for $40 you can get Wipeout + Hot Shots Golf + Mortal Kombat/Little Deviants/Another $20 game. Awesome deal for the new owners.

Or for $80 you can get RO + AC:L + NFS:MW. I'd love to have them digitally but it's tempting to go physical at that price and my MC is already full and had to delete a few games.

If you're talking about the final boss, what the fuck. That is the worst boss in the series.

I think it's the best. It's the only which isn't a shitty QTE or introduce stupid controls for the last battle. The whole game has been about shooting, the final boss should be in that vein.

Fucking fucking fucking fucking finally you fucking fuck fuck. Took me AGES to finally beat Guerro. Whoever decided on those swipe battles needs a punch right in the cock.

The only b2g1 I know of is Best Buy and it expires before AC:L and NFS come out. If it didn't I would for sure pick them up and look for something else to go a long with them.

The boss plays completely contrary to the rest of the game; it's horribly designed. QTEs are cinematic sequences that make sense in the world of Uncharted, and are pretty common anyway. I don't think any of the fights are particularly great, but at least the ones outside of Uncharted 2 are either based on cover shooting and/or melee QTEs. I don't appreciate being made to play a completely different game all of a sudden when the boss arrives!

I stay away from the retail sales unless it's something I really want...as cheap as they can get, aren't you guys tired of swapping cartridges?

B-B-B-BUT TOUCH ENHANCES THE GAME! </rest of the thread>

I said the same shit but about ALL shoe-horned touch-controls that break the pace of combat/gameplay/button controls. Melee swipes? Fuck you, devs. That shit doesn't fly with me. >:I

lol, well, I haven't gotten to Golden Abyss yet, but I do fully expect to despise all touch-based mechanics. :<

The demo certainly didn't instill any confidence

Agreed. Sony's making PSN more enticing for Canadians with not taxing us, either. Plus, yes, cart switching, not that I did a lot of that so far. I've had MLB 12 in my Vita for some time now partly due to laziness. I'll be picking up Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on PSN, unless some amazing deal pops up at my local retailers.

Not really cause for the most part I have downloadable games. I don't swap games that often and only have 4 or 5 cartridges so switching isn't a problem for me. I imagine I will beat AC:L and trade it in because the AC games don't have any replay value for me.

I would like to have NFS on my Vita at all times but I prefer paying less for it knowing that EA will not lower the price on PSN for it anytime soon.

Swapping cartridges is fine for the vast majority of games because you're not really swapping them. I already finished Rayman Origins 100%, I don't see why I would need to go back to it any time soon.

Sure, there are a handful of games that really benefit from being on the memory card -- Lumines, for one. But how much is that on PSN? $40? $35?

I got it for $10. Somehow I can live with putting a cartridge in every now and then to save $25, but that's just me. :P

I love me some digital games but I've never understood this argument against physical. How often are you swapping games?

The touch based bits for the charcoal rubbings I thought were fine, and the bits for cleaning the dirt of items you find in the game. That made sense. But the balance beams which use the gyro, the swiping so that you don't fall to your death, the swiping mid fight and the swiping for the main fights was just utter stupidity.

As I said before, U:GA is the only Uncharted I've ever gone back and played a second time mostly down to the excellent gyro aiming. removing all of the silly touch bits I mentioned would have made for a much better experience as they nearly always spoil the pace.

An excellent game though despite all that.

Depends on the game. LBP or RO make a lot of sense to have digital. Truth to be told, the only reason I haven't finished Shinobido or ACoH is because I'm too lazy to fetch the actual game card. That and the onslaught of new games, the list of games I want keeps growing :/

I love me some digital games but I've never understood this argument against physical. How often are you swapping games?

I prefer physical but if you had multiple games that had daily tasks (Hot Shots Daily Tourneys) the I could see swapping cartridges would get tiresome. I only own the Metal Gear Collection, which I haven't played, and Hot Shots Golf, which I play daily. I'm planning on getting Zero Escape, Persona and maybe Assassin's Creed (depending on impressions). While I doubt I'll juggle between those games, I was thinking about purchasing Hot Shots Golf digitally just for convenience. I'll probably hold off on that as I'm importing the PS3 version which comes out in November and I'll probably just play that version. Sorry for the long winded answer. :p

I've been leaning more and more toward digital for everything. The only thing holding me back is how games are not always guaranteed to be available in the store. That one mini that people exploited got Indignation'd nuked without warning, for example. Other times licenses expire and whatnot. There are also some things I've downloaded in the past that are no longer available on my download list, so...

I'm usually all for getting things that I plan to play often digitally (because duh), but then I realized that those are the only games worth buying in the first place. If I'm not going to play something all the time, I should probably get something that I will instead, right? And even with a 32GB, it's hard to juggle content. Getting too many things digitally can backfire.

(Sorry, I'm still debating on Ragnarok Odyssey Merc or digital.)

ANYWAY~~~ how's Corpse Party? I specifically want to know from those who purchased it today. Are you regretting the decision? I'm trying to figure out if I should go for the $100 thing.

The fact that when you delete vita games off the mem card means you lose your save data keeps me from going all digital.

hey

i just started buying some vita PSN games, some that are really big, mostly because they are digital only.

like escape plan is 1.5GB or something, i forget.

to keep the save, do i have to backup the entire game and waste space on my computer or can i just get the save?

i need to train myself that i can't delete bubbles for PS vita games only, accidently deleted my zen pinball and mutant blobs save making space.

Here's why I'm against hard copies for Vita:

1. You're negating the portability advantage of a handheld, now that DD is a viable option for Vita. Extra games means you need a cartridge case, and by then you'd probably want a bag to store everything.

2. The risk factor. The cartridges are small, delicate, and comes at $20-$40 a pop. When outside, you're on the move, people are around you, and you're potentially juggling your Vita in one hand and your extra cartridge(s) in another.

3. Do you really want, say, a fighting game occupying the slot? Unless you're really dedicated, some games are meant to be played in short bursts ie. a couple of rounds.

I guess what I'm trying to say is:

SONY GET YOU SHIT TOGETHER AND GIVE US A REASON TO BUY OFF PSN OVER RETAIL

There are also some things I've downloaded in the past that are no longer available on my download list, so...
I've noticed my download list decreasing a couple times, but I could never figure out what they took out. Would be great if there's a documented list or something.

So SFxT = Double Platinum right?, the PS3 & Vita versions

Each game has it's own Trophy Set?

Does it have the Plat PS3 Insta-Pop Vita Plat like Motorstorm RC/Sound Shapes?
