Edit: Having never played P3:FES, P3P was a wonderful experience.

Game isn't awful, but the game is a severe downgrade and is missing an extra chapter. It definitely isn't worth the time of day if you can get the FES version.

Vita Game Wish-list

would love to have these vita games

GTA Vita
Resident Evil Vita
Star Wars force unleashed 2
Unreal 3 (please make it happen)
Red Dead Redemption
Dead Space

i can dream

I keep hope that some sort of GTA game will make it to vita. It would work so well and easily be the top seller

But guys... you can get GTA: LCS and GTA: Chinatown Wars
Vice Shitty Stories isn't worth the time of day since it's a buggy mess
for $10. That's all you need for your 3D/2D GTA fix. :/

PREACH!

Plus the superior version FES is only 9.99 ;p you get more out of it than the more expensive P3P mess

Alright, which two games should I play first.

Trails in the Sky
Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Mutant Blobs Attack
ACIII
FF Tactics

Uncharted first. Its about 10 hours long and also a big download so you can beat it then delete it for the other games. Its totally rad too.

Does anybody want a 10 dollar code off Assassin's Creed III on PS3 or Xbox360?(standard edition, US only I think) I'm never going to buy that game and I don't want it to go to waste.

First to quote gets it in a PM.

Hope you've still got it, would like to get all my Christmas shopping for the family nearly finished by getting this extra copy of AC3.

Toss Trails in the sky for Persona, then play Uncharted (Hope for a sequel/more), then Gravity Rush (I still have yet to beat) then whatever else you want, all appear to be great games, have not yet played MBA, but I have it on my Vita. I still need to beat AC3L then I am onto P4Golden at some point.

Wow, no wonder Vita game cases are so small. They're practically empty.

Not to mention 97% cuter.

In addition Vitacats, I played Tapling in LBPV for the first time today. Need a full game of that please.

Also I played the Sackship Enterprise community level and got 4th best score :D

I picked up Lego Lord of the Rings and Lego Batman 2 for Vita

Jesus, Vita has too many fucking games

Stop this madness Sony, I'm drowning in them, I'm only one man, not a clever one at that, how am I supposed to get all these Platinums =3

Anyone playing Chronovolt? How do you get the time capsule on the platform in level 1-3? I cant figure how to get up from this platform again. There is some other levels where you jump down on some platforms too where it seems impossible to get up again. What am i missing here?

Because we don't have agendas unlike certain others :p

Because it is a butchered and gimped Persona game. Buy Persona3:FES instead for 9.99 on PS3. You get the full Persona experience and The Answer side story expansion.
Except it's not butchered, it just streamlines the game a bit (which, frankly, is a good thing, in P3's case) + makes the battle system, you know, actually playable. :) Also, The Answer is horrible, no need to play through that crap.

how hard is it to get 100% trophies? please tell me there is no multiplayer trophies

no multi. 100% shouldnt be too hard except there are a TON of collectibles while roaming the levels. Its one of my fav uncharteds and people NEED to play this game. Its one of vitas flagship games and its gorgeous to look at and play. Remember, use gyro aiming!

There is no multiplayer so there are no multiplayer trophies.

You'll need 2 play throughs to get the plat. Then you might need to replay a couple of sections for a few of the weapon trophies.

Now that they have made it even easier to get Bounties you have got it easy.

And as SRTtoZ says, Gyro Aiming. It's the future.

Right stick to get in the area and just a quick twitch to nail that headshot. I think I was upto 1350 headshots by the time I got the plat.

"You can't walk around!"

Boo-hoo.
Don't forget lack of anime cutscenes and totally soulless presentation.

It's an RPG. I play to explore, not to click on static maps like some free-to-play Playfish shovelware. It might be less convenient, but imagine Skyrim or Dark Souls without the exploration. Suddenly you've got a husk of what you had before.

Trash game.

Except Persona 3's "exploration" is worthless running around in boring environments. It's nothing like Dark Souls or Skyrim, it's just removing one shitty part of an otherwise good game.

And sure, the presentation does take a hit, but it's not like Persona 3 is a technical marvel in any form, so that's not much of a downgrade.

So people swear by the gyro aiming in UC? I turned it off because I wasn't really getting it, but I suppose I should try it again and see if I can't figure it out.
Most of the aiming is with the analog, the gyro is just for fine tuning for headshots and such once your reticule is already near/over the enemy.

I had to turn both stick and gyro sensitivity up to max.

But yes, It made a game involving shooting playable for me. More than playable.

The only time I had a problem with it were maybe the first 30 minutes which was just getting used to it, and when playing on the train because the swaying of the train caused me to miss!

You can rewind time but collected items remain collected. So fall down, collect things and then rewind time to get back up again

That's generous. The game is $9.99 on PS3. I'll spend $9.99 on the non-gimped version.

And it's not like they removed exploration because it's so terrible. They removed it because of the PSP's technical limitations, which is why P4:G (with its much larger cart size) retains it. The PSP version is gimped in so many ways - don't waste your time defending it when the flawless original is readily available.

The game also looks like a blown-up 240p YouTube video when played on the Vita. Total ass.

You need both versions to share game saves, like MLB The Show. And there aren't a ton of games that even support that feature.

more games need to support that, especially games like Disgaea where some of us have put in 200 plus hours on the ps3 versions and don't want to start over again... luckily for me I somewhat glossed over 3 so I only will be losing 50 hours or so but I really hope 4 supports ps3 saves when the eventual vita version happens

@PlayStation sent out the PASBR Vouchers for PS3 + VITA today :D I got one. The niece and nephew are gonna love it!

Edit - Buy a wrist strap for your Vita. You'll thank me later
Also buy what everyone else said

Well, the "exploration" (if you can call it that in P3) IS terrible, so even if the reason for removing it is not because it's terrible, they did the game a favor. It's only gimped in the presentation, otherwise P3P is a much more enjoyable experience than the original(s). + It has the female MC. Auto-win right there.

And LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL @ Persona 3 being flawless. The original had a battle system with some very shitty design decisions, the dungeon is a drag to go through and running around the same daytime places again & again was tedious. The game is already basically half a visual novel, so making it more streamlined to get to what visual novels do best was a good decision. If it wasn't for the plot, Persona 3 would not be nearly as good an experience as it is. Persona 4 is the superior game in every way. P3P simply makes Persona 3 much more playable.

So, I was wondering are we allowed to make a new thread for all the new Vita owners with a FAQ and some tips along with recommendations? Everyone should get Dokuro!
