Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

Even if Vita got a Monster Hunter the damage is done. If you want to play Monster Hunter you own a 3DS, and Capcom is too cheap/lazy to do anything more than an up-port of existing content.
I dunno. Remember for the most part the 3ds is still a single stick system. Monster Hunter with upgraded graphics and dual sticks...

Did you try all the modes?

I got through the tabletop and the endless modes, unless there is a mode, it was ok but in general I am not a fan of touchscreen games, and I felt my 200mb was better used on PS1 games.

CPPXL was already announced, 3ds totally does dual stick stuff, if I recall right there were talks that the circle pad pro was made because capcom required it for MH to be 3ds exclusive.

Yeah alright. I can see that if you are on space constraints. The endless mode can be quite neat though for some highscore gaming.
(You were one of the guys buying Alundra right? God damn, this amazing piece of gaming software.. really need to replay at one point)

wow, I'm really glad I got Need for Speed most wanted. Like others have said here/reviews say it is FANTASTIC.

The replay value is through the roof. I've only put 5 hours into it and have only scratched the surface. the huge open world that's the exact same on the console version of the game is amazing.... the depth of gameplay.....just wow :O This has been my best experience with a racer so far. (haven't gotten this game for PS3 yet). And I haven't played any multiplayer yet, either..

Although it is a little pixelated on the vita screen, it doesn't bother me at all. I really don''t think Call of Duty or any of the 3DS PORTS for vita games have any excuse D: "bite sized missions" my ass

yup I am riding a 4gb card (with ps+) until I can get a 16 or 32 for less than $2 per gb. Really hoping for a 32gb for around $50

not buying I already had it, I was the one that said I put it on my system when we talked about it earlier. I have been meaning to give it another go so I figured why not put it on my vita... so far it's not going well, if I don't get distracted by persona 4 I then will likely be distracted by gravity rush lol

Wipeout better be good with how you guys hype it up.

I didnt really dig the ps3 version. If i didnt like that one i prolly wont like this one right?

I actually really like my a 4 gb card. It forces me to complete a game before i start the next. Sometimes choices are bad.

No you won't. I preferred Pulse and HD over 2048.

Also its much more difficult and the tracks are extremely narrow compared to HD and pulse.

WipEout HD dlc for 2048 is basically a copy of the exact game onto the vita though so good news.

it's just forcing me to call it quits on games faster. I wasn't takien in by uncharted in the first 20 min so I removed it... with JSR I got bored after the 4th tutorial so I uninstalled that >.>;

Probably not. Its still Wipeout. Although I see myself playing it more often on Vita than on PS3 and, surprisingly, my gf that usually doesnt play that many videogames and never played a racing game just started playing Wipeout on Vita (:-oooo)

Sly! Everyone forgets about ol'good sly :(

Not me, my friend :)

Oh, and I am very excited about the news that Stranger's Wrath Vita has passed Sony's QA.

The game is native res, by the way. It wasn't earlier in development and they were able to get there through optimizing the engine further. So major props to them for that.

Btw, started UC properly earlier. I was surprised to see that there arent any clear distinctions between chapters. I was still looking for stuff I needed to find in Chapter 1 when I was already way into chapter 2. Weird. I assume, one should theoretically be able to find everything on their first playthrough,right? I dont need to unlock something/progress to a certain point to find all the goods?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope.

I hope by the time Tearaway releases, it is more focused on the adventure aspect and less on the God power aspect. I mean, that can be cool in moderation, but I don't want a whole lot of it.

So, is there anyway to send Near stuff to people on your PSN list? Because I haven't found a way to do that outside of Treasure Park purposely having something like that in "game."

If I could get someone with a few of the rarer bounties to trade with and complete my bounties list faster (FUCKING RARE ARCANA ONLY AVAILABLE ON TWO CHAPTERS, WHYYYYY), it'd be useful.

Only if the game allows to do so.

Nice to hear :) I seem to like it more than on PS3 as well. Guess its the Vita effect ;)
Is there DOOM for the psp?

Only homebrew on PSP I think.

Two questions

1. I'm currently on a 1 month PS+ trial and Sony just sent me a code for another one, will they stack right now/ can I activate the second after my first is up?

2. If I let my PS+ sub lapse will I loose access to the previous months free games when I re-up?

Why not? Even if I am walking reeeeeeally slow, looking into every corner? Chapter 1 took me about 1 hour probably.

You need to replay it on the harder difficulty anyway if you want the trophies.

Also you need to farm certain levels to get the medallions/coins etc that the enemies randomly drop.

I just used a guide on my second playthrough to collect all the collectables.

1. If you can use them, you should be able to do so now. (cant confirm)
2. You get all the PS+ games back that you ever owned on a PS+ sub once you resub.

Ah, drops. Alright thanks. Started my first playthrough on hard at least already :p

i was going to try stacking my 3 individual codes, but realized i could pick and choose which "months" i could use them as to not waste them on lesser release months, granted i plan on purchasing a yr of plus after they are used. but still. its a positive option to not stacking.

Guys I was complaining here the other day about EA/Origin botching my order for that Black Friday deal to get Vita games for $20. The game just now arrived and they even put "time sensitive order" on the box to ensure it was delivered earlier. So it didn't turn out all that bad.

NFS is actually that good? I heard some say it was the best racer they played in years, which I just regarded as hyperbole considering its overall rating on metacritic sitting at an 80 I think.

I'm going to bed with my Vita listening to music unlimited, good night y'all. Oh and don't forget to pre-order DJMax which is releasing in december, hopefully...

You need to add 5-10% to every Vita game metascore. Vita tax is ridiculous.

P4G 95% -> 100%
PSASBR 77% -> 82%
COD 32% -> 42%
Uncharted GA 80% -> 90%
Ragnarok 64% -> 74%
Fifa 13 57% -> 67%
Silent Hill BOM-> 58% -> 68%
AC3:L 71% -> 76%
Zero Escape 85% -> 90%
LBP 88% -> 93%
Dokuro 74% ->84%
When Vikings Attack 73% -> 78%
Smart As 72% -> 82%
Orgarhythm 68% -> 73%
NFS 79% -> 84%
New Little Kings Story 71% - 76%

There you go, updated Metascores!

How many chapters are there in Gravity Rush (just main quest stuff)? Trying to play a chapter per day, but want to try and make it last until the next game hits on PS+

Will get the DLC bits later down the line.
