I don't want to raise hopes carelessly but didn't we hear the Vita version of Sonic & Sega Racing Transformed was very good?

We did. From the dev.

...

*puts of a bucket of salt in the room*

That just makes me sad, I hope we see those titles eventually.

Don't hold your breath.

the western developer sees the first months sales and jump out permanently (same happened to the 3DS) and Vita is still not doing good.

the only reason Vita got COD shitassified and AC3L I think was because Sony's money/deals with the publishers.

Pretty sure Ubi doesnt consider their Vita ventures as failure though. Its not too unlikely that we'll see more from them at least.

If Sony paid for Call of Duty, even if it was a good Call of Duty they're stupid. Use that money to pay for a franchise you know people would buy handhelds for.

And I'd expect them to be of the quality of many of Ubisoft's PSP efforts.

Sure, they were surprised with the sale for AC3:L or something like that.

but that not what I'm talking about, I don't believe for one bit that Ubi will pick Vita for AC3:L after all Vita super low monthly sales numbers without going in a deal with Sony.

.

Seeing COD Vita ads that is obviously made by Sony, picking Nihilistic and no other,Activision devs don't know about the game and finally the Vita bundle I'd say I'm 100% positive that Sony paid for the full project.

Yeah. You are right. This could be money hatted, but I just wanted to mention that its not like every western developer already jumped ship. :p

Japan is shaping up. This doesn't include Western games with later releases (like Silent Hill (Feb) and Sony Smash Bros (Jan)), educational releases or games with a vague 2013 release date (like God Eater 2 and Toukiden). I'm sure I missed some stuff as well, haven't been following as closely lately.

Jan 24 - Demon Gaze [Dungeon RPG]
Jan 24 - Monster Monpiece [Anime Card Game]
Jan 24 - Sakurasou na Pet Girlfriend [Anime Something Game]

Jan 31 - Valhalla Knights 3 [Action]
Jan 31 - Sengokuhime 3 [Strategy]

February - Sangokushi 12 [Strategy]

Feb 28 - Phantasy Star Online 2 [Online Action RPG]
Feb 28 - Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus [Action Boobs Life Ass Hometown]
Feb 28 - Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus [Action]

Mar 14 - Steins;Gate and the Offshoot Ports [Visual ADV]

Mar 28 - Oboro Muramasa [Action]

Early 2013 - Dead or Alive 5 Plus [Fighting]

Spring 2013 - Soul Sacrifice [Action]
Spring 2013 - Tales of Hearts R [RPG]
Spring 2013 - PhotoKano Kiss [Anime]

Thanks. I'll try and put together something for the US and OP can update.

I want another AC from Ubisoft Sofia. They know more about what makes AC great than the 1,0000,0000 man shitfest that was AC3.

Hopefully they can learn from all the issues in Liberation. From the audio being terrible, to all of the framerate issues, to the game breaking bugs. I liked AC3:L, but it was a game in need of 6 more months in the oven.

I seem to remember a Ubisoft Exec talking about how they like to support new platforms because it's a fresh market. If they get in there early they have a better chance to make a stand out game.

As for COD, I don't think Sony paid for it directly, I just think Activision couldn't warrant a decent dev time and so it got pushed to Nihlistic who had to rush it out. You have to wonder what the game might have been had they been given more time.

At a guess Sony's payment was in the dev team and some advertising which wouldn't have been close to the sums typically talked about when moneyhatting comes up.

Yeah. Ubi said they were pleased with the sales so hopefully we get a sequel.

Has the save bug patch been released for AC yet? I can go back to it if so.

A few questions, wasn't sure where else to post them. Feel free to delete if inappropriate for this thread:

1. I do not own a PS3. Will I miss out on a lot of content on PSN? Are most games available to download straight onto the vita without a PS3?

2. If I were to buy the AC:L bundle today, and it happens to go on sale 2 weeks from now, will they refund me the difference? Does anyone have experience with this or know which retailer would be best to ensure this?

Thanks, and once again sorry if this post is in wrong spot...

All Vita games are downloadable without PS3. Some PSP and some PS1 games require the PS3 transfer, but you still have a ton of great games that you can download directly.

That seems unlikely. Amazon would probably the best vendor for that as they (for example) sent me a game that was on offer with the Vita after I made a purchase. It is rather unlikely in your case though.

that's the quality of experience one should expect from ubisoft handheld games
they still view them as product tie-ins to the main console games
rather than viewing them as products on their own terms

AC:L was quite a bit above that though. Considering the success of the game, its not out of the question that Liberation will become a full entry rather in their portfolio rather than just an addition to the main game.

Guess we'll see when/if they release Liberation 2.

Since P4 Golden fits comfortably on the 4GB card that came with the AC3 Liberation bundle, I've abandoned my plans to get a 32 GB card this year. I'll wait till 2013.

P4G and AC3L should keep me busy for 100+ hours.

Ok great, thanks for the reply.

1-no you are not missing anything major without a PS3.

however you will miss Folklore (game of the generation) which is on PS3 only.

2-maybe if they cut the price permanently in the two weeks after you get it(highly unlikely), other than that I doubt you will get a refund at all.

Yes,AC3:L was a real AC experience (and better than AC3).

Next year the is the year of Watch_Dogs..I want Ubi to make Watch_Dogs: Puppies for Vita.

We'll probably get some Wash Dogs tie-in made by Ubisoft Shanghai, and one for Prince of Persia: GoW Edition.

Yeah, the game just needed polish, but the general gist of what they were going for is there. AC:L makes me feel like I'm playing as an Assassin and not a total tool that does everything BUT be an Assassin.

Quite a few people argue they liked it more than 3. While that could be a bit of a hyperbole, it is at least no way near 20 points worse than 3.

Many people rank AC3 right down there with the first AC. Some, myself included, think it's even worse. It says a lot when the most uninteresting things you do in a game called Assassin's Creed are the assassinations.

A port/remake of Watch Dogs to the Vita would be downright amazing. Seeing Killzone which is a second year title, imagine what games, given the appropriate development time, could look like in 2014.

Trying to get the stupid mp trophy for AC, and I was sort of expecting the max player level to be 10, but noooope.

I hate myself a bit.

I'm kind of shocked at how addictive Treasures of Montezuma Blitz is. I mean..it's free. Free!

I'd prefer a normal price but steady progression (no disadvantage of using items).

Hey all you Vitacats 'n' Kittens! I've been lost in P4G for a week and I don't want to find my way out! Quick Q tho'; I'm sure someone here has the answer at the tip of their fingers. Is Journey optimized for Vita remote play?

They aren't doing cross-buy or even cross-save so to be honest i really don't care.

Blame sony for the cross save thing, they have a limit of i think 1mb or 2mb for cross save and because the stranger's wrath save is like 4mb they couldn't do it

And we all lose in the end.

Sony ran interviews with a bunch of Japanese games people on their site who would be at the awards ceremony. They asked every single one of them about Vita ... except the Monster Hunter people. I guess Sony already knew the answer to that.

When will it start exactly? Any sense in watching a stream or something?
