Lots of people putting Gravity Rush at or near the top, I kinda gave up on it after a few hours - is it one of those games that grows on you the more you play or am I right in passing on it after not enjoying it so far?

It does get better but if you find it too boring i suggest you move on.

Okay first up is Virtue's Last Reward

Awesome stuff and the best 2012 game I've played all year. Love the story and really looking forward to the sequel. It's hard to give impressions without spoiling it!


Second is Gravity Rush

While it has it's misgivings in the lack of combat depth and mission variety, the game was still awesome. I've said it before and I'll say it again. In all my years playing games, nothing has ever been as fun to travel as this game is. Has a feeling of weightlessness yet with actual substance that just works perfectly. Kat is oddly endearing as well.


3rd is Sound Shapes

Not usually a fan of platformers, but this really called out to me. I love the way the music evolves as you play the game. Such a stylish game. The only problem is Death Mode. Not because it's hard, but because it's very dependent on luck, which is always a negative


I'm just gonna leave it at 3. Sure I've played other Vita games this year. The likes of Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and PlayStation All Stars. But frankly I don't think they were good enough and would bring the quality of the list down instead of adding anything of note

Charming and full of character, one of the few puzzle/platformers I've played this Gen that actually feels as well-rounded in design and theme as the platformers of old.

PS Allstars Battle Royal
Quite a technical achievement, works solidly with Crossplay, and the ability to use it and the PS3 to play "Local" Co Op online with 2 profiles (which the stupid PS3 should allow anyway!) is just great.

Hot Shot's Golf
I'm not a sports game fan, but arcadey, showy sports like this can hit a special chord with me. Still so much left to do in the game, and it's great fun to play.

--Honorable Mention--

When Vikings Attack: Just a fun game to play, also full of character and personality.
Aqua Kitty: Truly the best PS Mobile game, it's a nice little adventure that feels as if it has the love of classic games infused into it's "HD" Pixel art graphics.

--PSP Mentions--

Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time: To great a game not to mention, this sucked me into it's world and gameplay like a true Vita experience, and I've probably spent more time with it, on the system, than most Vita releases.

Man, Resistance is still pricy in the UK (£40 on the store!). Little Deviants is listed at less than £5 at PC World but out of stock.

Also, for anyone interested a friend picked up LBP Vita from Sainsbury's in store for £18 a couple of days back. I can't find it in stock.

1. Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed: It's the best kart racing game I've played in over a decade. A great portable experience (a race takes 1 or 2 minutes), and nothing from the console version (which I also enjoy) is missing. I haven't taken it out of my Vita in weeks, and I'm probably going to rebuy it as a digital version just so I can keep it around when I start going back to other games.

Hey guys, new(ish) UK Vita owner here, had it around a month or so and first time posting in this thread. I absolutely love this little device, it's everything I hoped it would be and more. It's a prequel. As long as you understand who Drake is and who Sully is, you will get the absolute full experience.

As a side-note, it's a great game.

Possibly the last WipEout game we'll ever see and one of the best, If only it had a Racebox Mode where we could mix and match 2048 circuits and ships with those of HD/Fury, then it'd be perfect.

4.- Gravity Rush
Super Mario 64 was a game touted for its ability to be fun even if we were just moving Mario around, I can say the same about Gravity Rush. Can't wait for the sequel!

3.- Persona 4 Golden
If it wasn't for Persona 4 Arena, I would still be ignoring this series, what a big mistake that was. Now I'll join the ranks of those tortured souls that are waiting for Persona 5.

2.- Hatsune Miku Project Diva f
The sole reason I got a PS Vita (Besides Ys Celceta). Thanks to this series I got into Rhythm games and found out what this Miku thing was about. Two birds, one stone!

1.- DJMax Technika Tune
If anything could top Project Diva f, it had to be this. They finally made a game in this series accessible to us mere mortals, still crazy hard if you want it to be, though.

Honorable Mention: Super Stardust Delta
Asteroids on Steroids. What a visual spectacle, native res at 60fps. It's the right balance between casual and hardcore, just how I like it.

I got a Walmart Visa Gift Card for Christmas but would like to add it to my PSN wallet. However, everytime I do I get an error message on the sonyentertainmentnetwork.com site ("The credit card information is not valid. Please check your entries carefully."), despite my information on PSN matching the address I set up for the card. I would go out and buy a PSN card with it, but this is a $25 card and the PSN cards come in $20.

I don't think I've played and finished enough Vita games to make a top 5. Right now I think it'd only be: Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Virtue's Last Reward.

I had a really good mission last night in Unit 13 where I went nuts. All of my friends had scores in the mid to high 80k range and I finished with almost 120k. I don't know what happened but after dying a few times I went into the zone like kobe against the raptors. Got like 6 trophies during that 1 mission too.
