I'm happy to see the RPGs and classics up there (especially the classics)
i have to laugh at the fighter/sports arcade stuff given what NA has been getting.

How do you define "broken"? I've played quite a few matches online and am really enjoying it. Sure, it takes longer to get into a game when compared to BlOps 2, but what do you expect from a device that has a fraction of the user base and a much higher chance of users disconnecting due to the nature of handheld gaming?

Declassified is actually a ton of fun online, and it really is a shame that it was over-priced and that the mp was broken at launch--it was truly destined to be the media's "whipping boy".
Declassified is really fun in a Gameloft-knockoff sort of way. Pretty overpriced though.

But yeah, getting booted out of the matchmaking while the map is almost loaded is really awful. And the fact it's still really common makes it brooooooooken.

Also my PSN ID is Odrion, come add me everybody.

Guys, need a Vita game suggestion. Finished P4G on New Years and nothing has filled the void.

I'm trying to get through ACL and it just isn't fun. :(

Half Minute Hero (psp)
if you can get past the graphics there is plenty of fun to be had. plus it's cheap ($10) and small (like 100mb)

btw I recommend saying what genre's you like when you ask for suggestions... very few people like all genres equally thus it's helpful for people recommending games if they know what you like :P

Anyone know when EDF is going up?

I believe it's with this weeks update. If you are in NA that will happen sometime on the 8th at GCT (grace chen time) if you are in EU sometime on the 9th i think... not sure when... not sure if that is the release date for EU either lol

edit : wikipedia says EU is jan 16th so next week if you are in EU

This is terrible... :lol

uuughhhh why is Tokyo Jungle 2.5 gigs

on topic: i bought sound shapes

because there is a lot of character models, a decent sized map, and lots of AI programed?
beyond that it was a full retail release in japan?

This is terrible... :lol

why do you say that, last I checked you weren't happy with the sports or the fighting games, ideally in 2-3 months they stop giving us them.

personally I would love ps1 classics to return. Get one of those and a vita game every month for vita plus.

Finally!

The game is an experience, quantified through interactive music. I hope you enjoy the game.

Speaking of party chat - Ive participated in a few Vita GAF party chats, quite enjoyable. I don't know why theyve ceased, but I hope they resume. I'm always down to shoot the shit with everyone.

wish it were retail here too

downloading Tokyo Jungle just cut my remaining HDD space in half

i wish it was retail as well, but I can't complain about getting it for $11 day 1.

also if you think 2.5 gigs is bad avoid stuff like ratchet and clank all for 1, infamous 2 or super street fighter 4 arcade edition lol

I do :P

As a rule I don't download things available at retail. I really need a bigger hard drive though. Just can't afford it right now, and even if I got it I'd have to re-download everything. I would literally have to do that across the span of 3 months or I'd go over my bandwidth cap.

Sounds like someone needs a bigger HDD then.

Indeed :(

i take it you don't have access to an external hard drive?

So I played my first Vita game ever today: Gravity Rush. The whole time, I kept thinking "Holy shit... This is on a portable?" Amazing graphics, and it seems really fun and interesting so far.

No before you. But for almost the same reason lmao. Yeah I'm just keeping it low key.

Anywho did you play the Soul Sacrifice Demo?

No. Seems rather complicated to get a JP account on Vita sadly.

Edit: and BTW, after P4G, I just can't go back to P3P. I tried though.

It's a shame Capcom sent Nojiri to end his career on something like Never Dead (he'll probably be forced to work on iOS/GREE/Facebook games for the rest of his life) rather than making a new MGA.

Today I noticed that I had $10 in my PSN wallet that I didn't know was there. So I bought Sound Shapes, and I'm really enjoying it. Some of the levels are so cool.

yup cross region is no problem and welcome to the community :)
Cheers!

This is exactly what I thought while playing the demo, and will definitely grab the full game at some point. Really nice looking original IP in every respect.

It amazes me how many games I actually want for this, whether they're things I've never played before like Persona 4, or just the novelty of having beautiful HD gaming on-the-go like Wipeout and MGS that would stand up on any system.

At the moment just having a lot of fun just playing around with the system and getting muscle memory back in UMvC3 at the moment. I'll try adding a bunch of you tonight.

Not a 2.5" external (I used to have one but it died). I have 3.5" drives coming out of my ears lol

the ps3 can use a 3.5 external via usb to back up the system which you can then transfer to the new hard drive after the swap so you don't have to redownload everything :P

I don't think you can backup games, only your settings and files and shit :(

Correct me if I'm wrong tho (I once asked this question to PlayStation support and they told me no, but that was some years back)

Its ok, but I uninstalled after a few hours... not the type of game I personally enjoy on a handheld. Graphics are great however!

you can back up everything as long as you are going to install it on the same PS3.
with the back up you will copy everything to that external drive. if you swap hard drives on your ps3 you can reinstall everything. if you try to install that back up on a different ps3 then you will only get your settings/mp3/video/saves

at least that is how it was when i changed my hard drive to my 60gb 3-4 years ago.

How about the vita? If you buy a new 64 gb card (when they get released) you have to redownload 32 gigs of games from the store again? That would be bullshit!

just install the content manager on PC and copy everything to your PC and then back to the vita.

alternatively I think you can copy the content to a ps3... but I like having the ability to upload my content from the vita to my PC via wifi when I am done with it lol (or download over my network without using bandwidth from my pc)

K thanks, that works! Was scared for a few seconds... talking about scared, Sony is taking their sweet time in releasing those 64 gb cards... isn't it to their advantage to make cheap space available so people can buy all their digital releases...

the system hasn't even been out for a year in NA yet... heck it's over a month away from that. Aside from a handful of very dedicated digital users more space than 32gb isn't really needed yet, thus it doesn't really make sense to mass produce 64gb cards yet. Once a larger library of games comes out for the vita and more people own the system and more games are being sold they will then start mass producing the 64gb cards. I don't figure you will see any talks of a 64gb card before e3, I would put my guess that if you will hear any mention of 64gb cards for the vita it will be at TGS this year.

Beyond all of that the more time they take to move onto bigger cards, the more time they have to figure out how to make their cards cheaper and get a bigger profit per card sold. I imagine in general we will see a price cut to the vita before we see new memory cards. (price cut to the vita would make sense in march or so, but likely won't be until E3)

Yeah too bad I m part of that select group of digital users... imagine if I used it for music or movies... lol ;).
