Anyone else been enjoying the OST for this game already? It's on spotify and apple music, and comes as a pre-order bonus for the CE if you want it on disc. It's equal parts cringe and rocking. Between the silly covers, the anime cutscenes, the bizarre trailers - it seems like they had a lot of fun making this game.

Yep, and it looks wacky and AA as fuck. I'm in.

Quiet from MGS V is singing like 5 songs on the OST and they're all really odd lol.

Let's hope it's good. I already pre-ordered because I'm immune to reviews on this. Devil's Third got like a 30 on MC and I still loved it so nothing's stopping this train.

IGN had a really positive preview though. Said it's quite difficult.

No bro, I try to never listen to a videogame's OST before diving into it since I consider that to be kind of a spoiler. :goog_relieved:

That said, I clicked on the first one you posted and yeah, shit slaps. Can't wait for this one, looks like a very fun title and I hope it delivers.

yeah me too, especially with rpgs which often end up more impactful thanks to important moments in the story. I had the Collector's edition of Blue Dragon and still haven't unsealed the thing despite beating it lol.

Nice find Miku, I have it preordered as well since its exactly what I love to play. Its nice to see a bit of a resurgence with these type of games since I'm so over the usual AAA bloat and open world checklist games. People may scoff at ignoring the zeitgeist and review machines but I follow my own gut and have fun on my own terms. If anything I'm amazed at how good this game looks, a good amount of heart went into this.

Fuckin' a, I'll stream this until they add Hi-Fi Rush's OST. Was hoping Wanted: Dead would've been a more budget friendly title though, I'll have to hold off until I'm through Hogwarts.
 
Don't know, this looks like something i'd be interested in but...at full price (don't know what they were thinking) and with games like Hogwart's legacy , Atomic heart and others releasing soon (and on GP no less) it seems like its destined to bomb.

This will be heavily discounted in a few weeks' time (for better or for worse), it makes no sense to me to grab it now.

Looking forward to GAF's opinions when it releases, cheers

Edit : i can't help but think that this kind of game would be the perfect get for gamepass

I'm hyped for the review thread. Devil's Third landed at a 43% I think. This looks like it could even surpass that.

Anyway, i've been reading all the topics in the forum and if i'm to to be honest, i got hyped, here's the thing though : they have to be fucken' kidding us with those prices - 60 Eurodollars for the "normal" edition and 80 for the "deluxe" ? What ?

- The animations are completely mediocre.
- There's no "oomph" when it comes to the combat, no weight whatsoever to it, everything feels s-l-o-w , no hit-stun when hitting enemies, no dramatic dynamic camera angles when executing them (NG2 was God-like when it came to this), main char is like it's ice-skating/sliding and...don't know, it really feels "cheap" with no real thought put behind the whole combat mechanic(s).
- Mini-games feel like they've been included just to make a "HEY LOOK AT HOW SILLLYYY EVERYTHING ISSS" statement, plus, "Yakuza did it and it sells so why not us ?" instead of a method of breaking up the action bits/as to have some "downtime".

Again, in a world where Hi-Fi Rush costs 30 Eurodollars i really can't see how this costs 60 and - again - it feels like it's destined to bomb hard, unfortunately, i can see it being heavily discounted in just a month's time.

I wish i could support the devs (if it proves to be remotely fun/good) but, with Atomic Heart being "free" on GP, Hi-fi rush and RE4Remake in a month's time i just can't justify the asking price, maybe it's just me but, yeah...

This isn't the sort of game that's review friendly, and if it's fun, will largely succeed through word of mouth. Everything I've seen so far tells me it's a day one!

Initially dismissed this but the more I see vids of it, the more I'm intrigued. Cant be day one for it, maybe sale, but curious to see some gaf impressions of it.

Can't wait to try this one tonight. Says it unlocks around 4PM Pacific Time. I got my friends to look this one up but sadly I think I'm the only one to get it, maybe one other will take the plunge. Just a solid single price and seemingly no MTX with just a single full game? What year is it.gif haha!
 
I'm worried about this game. I've been back and forward with them on Twitter. The game comes out tonk tomorrow and no reviews yet. Just the official trailer.
 
WTF, Hi-fi Rush was shadow dropped and I think it got more marketing than this game, is it releasing already? Looks like the type of thing you'd play on Game Pass
 
Yeah, you can tell the devs from Devil's Third made this even though Itagaki isn't involved in this at all. Maybe this will turn out to be better than Devil's Third. Personally, I like the aesthetics of this more but we shall see.
 
I don't know what the fook it is about this game that makes me want to get it, maybe I reaaaallly need something as Japanesy as this as to wash the Game pass indie taste out of my mouth but...I'm blaming you guys for getting me hyped !

PS: I can't find a better price for the game even on the usual digital key sites ffs, it's either splurging the whole 60 eurotrons or wait for a sale in a few months' time.

Don't think I'll be able to resist though if this - somehow- manages to get a high 70's metacritic score come tomorrow, guess I'll have to wait and see.
