This whole debacle has made it clear how broken and fucked up America's legal government actually is. There's no breaks on this shit.

Seems like fox got the memo to start propping up Pence and turn on trump.
Pence has to go down with the ship. When Trump is revealed to be 100%tainted, I don't care how many "I had no idea" Pence says, he's pulled that shit as Governor of Indiana. He continued to defend the President, even after all of this came out.

He goes down, Ryan becomes President. Ryan as President robs the Republicans of their cat herder in the house and turns the two wings in the house against each other.

Wait, WTF. FOX NEWS reporting that? My brain hurts thinking about that.

What if Fox News waited for pretty much every other major news source to be called "fake news" by Trump to then decide to push these stories as a "you got played"-moment?

I'm probably thinking too much into this haha.

Didn't Trump try to frame Flynn's calls to Russia as laying the groundwork for the deals Trump would be attempting as President?

I could swore he said some shit like that during his insane fucking press conference. It was right around the time he kept trying to establish the narrative that if Putin isn't nice to America it will be due to our press discouraging him.

From the start, I figured he'd intentionally remain out of the loop to avoid going down with the ship.

At this point, it's a possibility. It makes sense that the GOP wants Pence to be president, but they are definitely playing with fire here. The base that supported Trump will remember this and I am fairly confident that Pence will not have any chance of winning the 2020 elections if he gets elected.

Eh. His first tweet ...
BREAKING: Fox News is reporting Trump was fully briefed on the Flynn call with Russia after it happened--and allowed Pence to be lied to.
... does not accurately reflect Roberts' reporting.

Roberts said Trump was fully briefed on the Flynn call but never indicated when it happened -- nor that Trump allowed Pence to be lied to: https://twitter.com/FoxNews/status/832396832974131200

This is the craziest part. If Fox turns on Trump he is finished.

This would bring up the whole case of trying to paint Pence as out of the loop on all of this full circle as I don't doubt there's a lot of Republicans and members of Fox News who'd rather have Pence than Trump. Time to wait and see.

The base isn't going to show up in 2018 if the GOP turns on Trump this early. We need a superPac that flames the fan of discontent once Trump is impeached.

Trump allowed Pence to be lied to because the WH knew about this weeks before Pence did. Pence literally found out by watching the news.

That Pence only learned about this in the media we knew already.

What I think Abramson is alleging is that Trump was aware of the content of the call between the time the call took place in late December and January 15, the day Pence went on the Sunday shows to publicly deny Flynn talked about sanctions with the Russian ambassador.

Based on the previous WaPo report, the WH was only informed of the actual content of Flynn's call on or shortly after January 23. Perhaps I'm just reading it wrong but "Trump was in fact fully briefed on the content of those conversations that Gen. Flynn had with the Russian ambassador" doesn't suggest to me when he was briefed.
