No, just an open and empty case. No game, no manual... nothing. The brown envelope packaging was sealed, so I am guessing that it happened at the Amazon shipping department in Phoenix, which is where it shipped from. At any rate, just got off of live chat with them again and got a refund instead of a replacement. Canceled my pre-order for Skyrim and the guide with them as well. Never ordering from Amazon again. Just going to walk in the store and buy what I want.

Switch the weapon you want to replace. I'm not sure if it works with bolter, but the text will tell you different than what actually happens.

From what I saw, if you have the pistol, bolter, or bottom slot weapon out it defaults the to the bottom slot. If you have the left slot weapon out, that's what you switch out.

thats uh really extreme.

i order off amazon all the im never really have any problems. only simlar case ive had though is getting arkham aslyum and the side of the case being damaged. so i talked to cs and they gave me $10 credit and they sent me a replacement.

Yep. Alan Wake says hi. (my 2010 goty). And it actually shares a lot of things as those two games do one thing only, but it does that one thing so wonderful and perfect that it does not matter to me at all.

I have to keep reminding myself how lucky I am that this game even exists (along with DoW2). Many years ago, hunched over a desk strewn with paint pots and lead shavings I could only dream that a game like these would be made. I dutifully painted my miniatures and begged my friend to let me unleash my hordes upon their feeble defenses.

So yes they'll continue to get my money. The Emperor demands our loyalty.

Extreme or not, I don't care. I have ordered from them countless times over the years as well, but this just really pissed me off. What can I say?

And you can appreciate just how true Space Marine stays to the original source material. Just run through some fallen stones and they'll fly around as if made from polystyrene. ;P

Really, you're going to never use Amazon again? They're incredibly customer friendly, and if you think Gamestop or whatever doesn't have these problems... I mean Gamestop sells opened cases as "new games".

There is no greater example of that than Wargame: European Escalation. It's coming out in two months, and not many even know it exists!

Completely off-topic, but goddamn, it will be glorious. ARMA turned RTT, essentially.

The only problem is, if you want to build a strong online community, you need to get the word out. I think there's enough franchise clout with 40K, but a new strategy IP set in the Cold War? There's a reason why I'm one of, what, twenty or so forum members on the official site.

Our very own Deus Ex stuttering thread says otherwise, but I won't derail any further.

One problem I'm experiencing with Space Marines (and occasionally other Steam games) is I get disconnected from Steam while trying to play online, it usually happens in the lobby. Does anyone have any idea why that happens? I'm using a wired connection.

My only problem with deus ex was the fmv... they used alot of it, it looked worse than what my computer was running in game, and the pixelation.... oh the pixelation....

Its just nice to see a game where the fmv looks.... good >.< Not to mention the game runs like buttahhhh.

Who said anything about Gamestop? Anyway, I am just pissed right now that someone stole my game. I'll probably use them at some point. Just not anytime soon, lol.

Map awareness is super helpful, for sure. Especially since you can be easy prey for Assault Marines who DO know the maps.

Not that I've seen. The game seems to be running it's own MLAA or FXAA filter which does a somewhat reasonable job at least.

lol. I've played about ten minutes. Already fucking rad. The knife is more adequately satisfying than I imagined.

And the shooting. Fuck yes. I don't give a fuck about manbabies on Let's Plays squealing "c'moooon that was a headshot what the fuck". This detects shit right. It feels fucking ridiculously good.

so the full game does have AA?

i remember the demo being full of jaggies and it really felt like there was no AA at all..

I'm thinking about buying this game or Gameflying it and it hinges on co-op. Is there any sort of local MP or co-op in the game? I tried to research myself but all I found was some future DLC but could not find if it included local co-op/MP.

Guessing there are no dedicated servers on PC? Shame. My decision to buy this game still hinges on the multiplayer. Haven't heard enough good things to make my bite the bullet yet.

MP is great when you get into a game, haven't had a laggy match. It's the matchmaking that sucks. Not as bad as MW2, but I usually walk away from my comp for 1-2 mins when I try to find a game.

Well I find the multiplayer to be amazing, but obviously the matchmaking on PC is hopefully getting some love from Relic and Steam (which they've said they are both working on it now on the official forums)

Man multiplayer is one of the funnest/best I've played this year. Too bad the experience is heavily dependent on what the lag is. Dedicated servers would have been great, which I don't understand why it wasn't included since they're kept online through the playerbase's money. Hopefully more people get online as people start finishing up the campaign. I went from last place in my first match (1:8) to first place in my second (18:4). The difference? The lag was massively better in the second even though it was with the same group of players.

Still satisfyingly easy to get into trouble. Couple of times I've been fucked up by rocket launcher orks when I was concentrating on melee.
