Are a lot of people going digital for this game? I just want to hear the pros and cons for why. Only games I'm eben thinking of going digital for is Destiny and The Division.
Wait, are you talking about descriptions on people or the reputation system? Because the reputation system alters how citizens and the media will see you.
Anyone recommend picking up the Digital Deluxe edition? About to pull the trigger on the Steam version, and while it's a ten dollar difference, not really sure it'll be worth it.
Descriptions. A recent interview said if you shot a guys wife he would remember - I'm guessing that has more to do with the character building system than the reputation system which would just be more or less people calling the cops on you - and hinted that "characters" created would be re-entered into the world (interview said from a database) which sounded really interesting.
Watched a couple of streams, and I think we are up for a big disappointment. Sure it will get the mandatory 8's from the igns of the world, but I suppose I will check GAF in a couple of months to see if there's any value here.
Why do you think we're in for a disappointment? I've been watching this stream for like an hour now and I think it looks awesome. And the stream I'm watching is the 360 version.

Well, everything except the guy playing. I mean, I know he's trying to aim with an analog stick, but c'mon, nobody should be THIS bad.
Doesn't help that it's like a 30 second load each time he dies.
It's a gut feeling, I concede that. Clearly I've not played the game. For once the character seems very uninteresting.
But I mainly feel the gameplay doesn't seem polished enough, or varied. There's alot of smoke and mirrors, at it's usual in an open world game, but I can clearly see the old tricks poorly performed on the screen. I guess it's tough to live in a post-gtav world.
Well, that might be one of the first things i'll try. Catch me if you can cops.Based on the stream this looks like one of those games where you get what you put in. If you play it like a third person shooter and go around blasting everything you're going to have a dull experience.
But unfortunately not the converse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IlHq3n3hy0

Ah right. Kay.I should have worded it better, not talking about a pure rampage. Those are fun in moderation. Solving every problem the game throws at you like it's a third person shooter seems dull and not the best experience in Watch Dogs.
The game really does give you some options. There are even projected vehicle routes for certain VIPs in missions; you could snipe them, ram them with your car, use hacks to burst a steam pipe or raise a barrier etc.I should have worded it better, not talking about a pure rampage. I'm deciding on whether I want to get this on launch, but the multiplayer aspect is really worrying me, although admittedly I haven't done much research on it. I'm okay with the whole invading thing in Dark Souls, but in open world games I prefer to just play by myself and don't want people hacking me all the time. I know I can always play offline, but I'm wondering if that will detract from the experience at all or if there are any options for this.
I need to see some more footage, honestly. Last I saw this game looked terribly bland and ugly. That was around Feb/Mar. so things may have turned around.
I hope there are some Person of Interest easter eggs
Aiden runs like he has to shit his pants.
nvm. posted already.
What version is this?

Ok, again, I'm going to just hold off until PS4 footage is released because what I'm seeing right now doesn't look impressive. Could be the stream quality idk. GTAV-esque and even that seems generous. And I'm not one to obsess over graphics and such.
