I'm no expert, but I dont think highly detailed real-time Nurbs is gonna happen.

I'm not a tech wizard, but the guys over at Moz La Punk are spooging over this. The gist is that Revo will use NURBS instead of polys, citing that using NURBS to model stuff will take less time than polys and will use less power to render.

EDIT: Those two images I posted are supposed to be made using NURBS.
