That'll be one adult, and eh...

I am fucking having a heart attack you guys. Fucking amazing thread !

I've just watched it now because of this, having not seen it before. What an incredible and moving film. I wish I had that kind of opportunity he did so I could become so damn smart on many things :(

Then why do you think Phil is so unhappy about the prospect for the bulk of the movie, and so eager for it to change?

Yeah, they compound it too by basically "locking him in" Punxsutawney because of the weather, so it's not like he can even go explore the world in all that time. It's just more and more of the exact same thing... complete hell.

Obviously he got sick of it but look at all the things he learned.
You have a whole day to do whatever you want. Depending where you live there are unlimited scenarios that could play out.

Stupid question, but is this a dangerous stunt?[/QUOTE]

Not at all! Little known fact: Groundhog Day was shot completely in reverse

It was actually about a guy who had the perfect day and wanted to relive it again and again, but got bored and started hating it

Finished the movie a little while ago. Really excellent. Can't believe it's taken me this long to watch it all the way through.

This thread is too funny lol, but what other movies are about this? I remember one romantic movie in the 90's about this but a guy who tried to win someone's heart OS something like that

Funnily enough, I watched the film for the first time last night. Quite enjoyed it. My first Bill Murray film.

Is it bad that I have been laughing at the
suicides
?
No. I mean, the movie at that point isn't a comedy anymore; it's drifted into Dramedy, which means you can still laugh at how morbid it is. After that it goes into drama/love story territory.

It's really quite a film. The shift in tone really works well.
