Wendy's latest value play is the new 4 for $4 Meal, which features a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, four chicken nuggets, small fries, and a small drink for $4.

In my area, the listed items would cost about $5 or so, if bought separately.

Wendy's 4 for $4 Meal is available for a limited time at participating locations (price may vary). According to the company, "consumer response will determine how long it stays."

They're also testing a new Sweet Thai Chili Chicken Sandwich in select areas:

Shit deal, a 4 piece, value fries, and value drink are like 3 something.

Edit: misread! Wow, that's not bad.

Their Double Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Fries, and drink combo was a better attempt at a stoner special, but this is a fine deal.

That is a jr bacon cheeseburger deluxe in the picture isn't it? A jr bacon cheeseburger wouldn't have lettuce or tomato by me.

doesn't seem very filling or very appetizing.

still, it's only $4.

edit: that sandwich seems...interesting. i'm in tucson but my parents are up in phoenix, i'll try to get them to test it out and see what they say.

Is that two sauces?

this is actually a good deal when i saw an ad earlier. certainly below Burger King, who's starting to have 9$ combos on their menu..

A burger, fried, chicken nuggets AND a soda? This is why you're fat, America.

Yep. The chicken is mechanically separated, the fries are subsidized, and the soda is sweetened with corn, also heavily subsidized. Those are the cheapest parts to make for the meal. Most of the cost is going to be the beef in the burger on Wendy's end.

That's a damn good deal. Shoot now I'm craving Wendy's

Not very filling?

Not including a small coke that's a 900+ calorie meal, including a coke would hit it over 1000 calories. For only $4 get two!

Lol try living in Vancouver. A Big Mac meal here is 9 dollars. Casual dinning burger joint? 12+. Red Robins is now 15 a burger. I laugh at you dreading 9 dollar food.

This is a good deal. I used to do something similar a while back, but since they have altered their pricing of the value menu, this is a little over $6 here.

That's not too bad. I usually just get a Double Stack + 4 piece these days. Comes out to a little under $4.

Been hitting these deals up with my $2 coupon from the local schools and frosty keychain.

$2.17 (after tax) for nuggets, jr. bacon, small chili, drink, and mini frosty? You can't bring your lunch for any cheaper than that.

Depending on what you get to drink it can be well over 1000cal. That's plenty filling in my book.

I lived in Vancouver for a year.

Fuck Vancouver's food prices. Literally the same meals that were 8-9$ were 2-3$ back home in Nebraska.. paying 5-6$ for 12 packs of soda was ;_; after being used to paying 2.50-3$

But it does have cheap fish. I could get fish there for dirt cheap while it can range 15$/lb here for even basic shit.

edit: a local ad i showed to my west coast friends because they couldn't believe it

Canada also doesn't allow McDonalds to sell mechanically separated chicken meat, so your chicken sandwiches are actual chicken breasts while ours are chicken-tator-tots basically

They already had a jr bacon cheeseburger combo for 2.99. And the 4 pc nugget is 1. So this is a 1 cent price hike.

We've had a soft launch of this at my store for the past week and it's already ridiculously annoying. Now that it's being widely advertised it will only get worse.

Corporate is anticipating roughly 1000 more junior bacons being made per week. Ugh.

Also no, you can't pick and choose or replace items. It's a burger, a nugget, fries, and a drink. (You can switch the fries for a potato/chili/salad like any combo though.)

There is no "Junior Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe". That is not a sandwich.

There is a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, and there is a Junior Cheeseburger Deluxe.

The Jr bacon comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, Cheese, and Bacon.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. A full meal for 4 bucks.

Wendy's beats out McDonalds any day.

Mcdonalds has the double cheeseburger+med fries+soda for 3.99

Nice that wendy's has a cheap combo with some variety, the burger is 1.99, the small fries are $1.70, nuggets and drink $1 each so you get $5.70 worth of food for $4

I'm always mixing and matching small shit. It'll be nice to get a smaller assortment of food in a single order versus having to choose between too little, or too much.

I'd much rather go to Wendys than McDonalds though

Can I sub a frosty for the drink?

I got this the other day. Your small sodas are effing huge. Got about halfway through and just tossed it.

Meanwhile in Canada we get nothing but bullshit and value menus that aren't value priced.
Had a laugh when Wendy's started advertising their new value menu like it was big bargain when it was actually an increase in prices.

meh, it includes soda

it would be too good a value otherwise if they couldn't shoehorn in a $.05 soda into the combo adding a dollars worth of value

Soda's are the highest margin item at fast food places by far, taking off the soda and the dollar it MSRP's for from the deal would mean you get $4.70 worth of food for $3, but with no filler dollar of pure profit that is the soda price baked into the $4 combo
