I this is the first show in a long term where I can rewatch an episode once or twice in a week and still be pulled on. I'll normally rewatch set-pieces (Battle of the Bastards, for instance), but this has me hungry for more.

Anyway, upon rewatching a few episodes, it made me question the MiB's quest.

He presumedly interrogates Delores, scalps he poker dealer, finds Lawrence before being directed to the women with the snake tattoo. She then puts him on the trial of Wyatt, who we are lead to believe is the recent antagonist of Ford's latest storyline, as highlighted by Teddy's new backstory.

MiB though, knows about Arnold, about a deeper level to the "game". Whatever lead him on this path presumedly predates Ford implementing the latest narrative.

Makes me wonder then, as I've speculated before, whether Ford has had a change of heart relating to whatever caused the issue with Arnold, and is now actively trying to uncover whatever it is they buried.

I must have still been in shock from the Walking Dead when I watched this show last week, because I totally missed the scene about MIB's foundation saving the guy's sister, and the scene when he gave the sheriff the cigar.

Obvious metaphor is obvious.

EDIT: Jesus, I knew there were multiple towns, but Pariah looks huge.

Just how big is this park?

OMG

Someone in here a few days ago that the ultimate mission would be getting Teddy to the center of the maze alive. lol

This looks like an escort mission.

MiB: "As an old friend used to say, there's a path for everyone, and your path leads you back to me."

That's the line Dolores says to Teddy in ep. Either that storyline can be triggered by guests and MiB did just that, or whomever suggested that Teddy is meant to reprise William's role with Dolores in present day is spot on.

so Alonzo(?) is alive now, so this must be out of time with MiB.

And the friend got punched in the face, that should be against the rules but it fits in with william getting shot in the chest and it leaving a welt.

This must be 30 years prior...

More likely is they found him and reset his loop

I *love* this show.

Man, Hopkins is menacing as fuck, holy shit. I think I'd shit my pants if he talked to me the way he talked to that woman on last week's episode.

Man, mystery upon mystery. One thing that seems to me is Arnold has to either be an AI controlling the machines or faked his own death and is controlling them remotely (probably with inside help).

I have a feeling that I should wait until season 6 or whatever is done, check with what people say about the series on the internet, and decide if I want to watch it. I started Lost very late, probably when all episodes were done already. I watched about 2 seasons, and got fed up with it.

Right now I'm not too interested in the way this worlds works as I was at first. Something seems to be happening but very slowly. It's not as crazy as Lost from what I remember though.

That episode was confusing as fuck with so many jump cuts.... Also i got tired of all the gratuitous nudity by the end... I mean come on HBO...

Also people are gonna take Lawrence being back as MiB= William (I even did for a second), but it doesn't fit, most likely he had his "loop" reset after the MiB killed him.

Oh and about the previews:
it kinda ruins that theory completely

What was the song playing during the orgy? It sounded kinda familiar.

Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have, I think.

Also, love that last bit with Maeve. She is definitely playing in the big leagues now.

Not sure where people are so confused on things. Dolores is not just off loop, but writing her own narrative now, per say. She's taking agency over her own actions and fate.

Also, not buying the MiB=William theory, but I can say why people would think it.

I'm going to guess that MiB is the CEO of whatever company William and Logan work for who was thinking of buying Delos out.

In the conversation with Deloras, Ford says, "Do you remember the man I used to be?" And then immediately starts asking about Arnold. Cryptic for the sake of cryptic is the exact kind of shit I hate about shows like this. Present a good mystery, you don't have to do this bullshit.

I think it's obvious after this episode that there's some sort of time-jumping going on...but because it happens in rapid flashes and nothing has been established, you don't know what to make of it. I can't tell if I'm in the past or present, scene by scene. It really pulls you out of whatever story they're trying to tell here.

Delores, a host, shoots another host. I get that I'm supposed to care, but I really don't care.

So Maeve realizing the nature of the world is all she needed to assume full cognitive control of herself? Putting her in sleep mode apparently doesn't work. And I get the impression that she's been intentionally dying so she can learn all she can learn and about the real world and plan. This was a large, sudden jump.

This was a terrible, all-over-the-place episode. Next episode looks hype though.

But I'm really getting a Lost vibe here, and not in the good way.
