All I'm asking for from my parents is a Napoleon Dynamite DVD, if I don't get it before Xmas myself. That, and lots of money for a 2-3 week road trip with my friend after new years.

I got my mom's present already. It was a book (the latest Redwall book. I stopped reading those about 10 books ago but she has to buy me the newest one each year) and some damn educational board game. meh. only thing left to make this year complete is socks.

It's cool you get to do what you want but where is the thought.

My parents don't have a clue about my life, so it's easier to do money, I guess. They see music & videogames (basically the only things I really spend my money on) as a waste and refuse to buy them for me. Not that they would have a very easy time of it. I had to explain to my mother the other day that I don't listen to Guns N Roses much anymore, and that they haven't put out a decent record in like 13 years.

My friends will get me things that aren't money, but what that is, I have no clue.
