9 isn't out yet. Whatever you're listening to is likely not legit AFX.
how many times does it have to be said that the tracks are fake [on slsk] , they are just lifted from clyobs dj set , and are "acid white labels" , further others have confirmed that they are not analord , maybe aphex, but not analord.
good thing, too.

a friend borrowed me Lost Prophets- start something, i've been listening to that pretty regularily over the past week. Along with the usual fix of Tool, Incubus, A Perfect circle and Muse.

Lostprophets first CD is soooo much better than Start Something, if you haven't heard it.
thanks for the tip, i hadn't heard of them at all til a couple of weeks ago when i was talking in a bar. I heard last train home and got addicted.

Super Furry Animals - Fuzzy Logic, Guerilla, Radiator, Rings Around the World, Phantom Power, and every fucking b-side they've ever made. Greatest b-side band EVER.

Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues, The Name of this Band is Talking Heads

Gruff Rhys - Yr Atal Genhedlaeth: This is seriously one of the catchiest albums I've heard in my entire life. I think Gruff Rhys is a fucking genius. SFA, and now this? Keep doing all the drugs you want.

You'll think that this is some insignificant, piece-of-shit album. But then you'll play it 20 times in a week, and it'll become a part of your fucking subconscious. EPYNT EPYNT! GENIUS.

How are they? I'd heard a song of theirs that must've been memorable enough 'cause I put them on my "to listen" list a couple weeks back. I believe they're from Chicago as well. I must investigate.

Is that a new or old K&D album? A mix, or original content?

How is the DJ/rupture disc?
It's an old one, came out in 2002. a compliation disk featuring a lot of the artists from the G-Stone label. Quite good IMO.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...102-2149320-2215361?v=glance&s=music&n=507846

As for the DJ Rupture disk, I like 10 out of 16 totall tracks, which is not a bad thing. I expected it to be better I suppose, but there are definitely some good/great tracks here w/ some filler tracks thrown about. Ironically my favorite so far is "Mole in the Ground" which is an acoustic track.

I'm listening to The Arcade Fire at this moment, they never get old. Then I'll listen to The Postal Service after that because I haven't for a couple weeks. I'd been listening to David Gray, Rufus Wainwright and Bright Eyes before. After this though (later on) I think I'll listen to some 80's stuff and maybe some Futureheads, either that or The Unicorns and The Go! Team.

Today, it's been Thunder, Lightning, Strike by The Go! Team, Extinguished: Outtakes by Prefuse 73, and about two hours worth of stuff from the ol' Party Shuffle. I'm about to fire up the "Rotationz" mix from Nosmo that I got from hybridized.org.

to the postal service and electropop fans in general, i cant recommend the junior boys album enough. it's soooo good IMO, much more moody and subtle than TPS. every track is fantastic, broody, dark and cold.
the album really should be given a try.
my favorite track is "teach me how to fight", an instrumental track...whenever i'm out driving at night, i put it on. that track, and the city at night...driving, doesnt get much better than that.

At this moment, I'm listening to Can - Future Days. Fan-fucking-tastic. Can not wait till they re-master this one. (ha, pun! :p)

Star Power - Where did you find that cover art for the new Beck album? I'm planning on holding out on downloading any more of it until its release, but I heard you can find the retail version of it in places. That true?

The cover art is on beck.com. I think the retail version is out there, but I'm really not sure. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference.
