I've had good luck with these:

Bullboxer Dieren's. Comfy, warm, lasted a while (over a year of wearing to work)

My all time favorite shoes were a pair from DVS. They were the absolutely most comfortable thing I have ever owned.

I can't even find pictures of them anymore but they looked similar to this pair:

Running shoes: Nike
Current pair: Nike Air Zoom Vomero 10. They are a big step back from the Vomero 9 but still good.

Current dailies: DC

For sneakers, I almost always buy Nike's over the last 5 years, and I will continue to.
For casual shoes, I've got a mix of brands from Nordstrom that I'd buy again but couldn't tell you the brands.
For dressier shoes, I usually buy Cole Haan, and I will definitely buy them again.
For basketball shoes, I exclusively buy Nike's basketball sneakers and I will continue to

Shoes I won't buy:
- The Ralph Lauren Polo low-top casual sneakers that debuted about 6 or 7 years ago. They're complete low-quality shit that will fall apart within 2 or 3 months of owning them, not even wearing them every day. They're dirt cheap so easy to replace, but not worth it at all.

- Lacoste casual sneakers. Same thing. Low-quality shit that fall apart within a few months of owning them.

Columbia North Plains II

I have worn these every day for 8 months now (roughly 8-12k steps/day) and they're still in perfect shape. When they eventually bite the dust (hopefully 2+ years from now), I'll totally buy them again. They're comfy, supportive, and go with just about everything.

Comfortable, supportive, well made, high quality -- absolutely. But they go with nothing.

I like New Balance for running shoes, but I really only buy them because they have an outlet store nearby for cheap deals. I've never tried anything else. I walk like a duck (toes pointed outward from each other) and I also strike on the outside edge of my foot, and the shoes they have to compensate for that are nice.

I love Skechers for casual-but-not-sneaker shoes. My office is casual so I usually wear jeans, a button-up or polo, and Skechers.

I have a pair of Steve Madden boots that I really like. They're like mid-ankle boots, so they don't rub the ankle joint like most dress shoes do. I snapped one of the laces pulling them up too hard, so I haven't worn them in a while.

I have never worn a comfortable pair of dress shoes. They all rub on either my ankle joint or achilles tendon and give me blisters. I'm permanently scarred on my left ankle from a pair of dress shoes. I got some pads that are meant for ladies' high heels to stick in the back of those shoes which helps.

Tretorn makes good boots from time to time. The Klipporone are my all-time favourite winter boots for being super minimal, flexible, high, and versatile. I wish they would make these again because the sole in mine finally wore out after about 6 years of use:

Nike x RF Tennis Classic Ultra Flyknit has become my default casual shoe in warm weather. I've actually gotten compliments on these:

After experimenting with many dress shoes over the years, the best for me is the Paul Smith Clapton. They are so much more comfortable than traditional thick-soled, rigid, thick dress shoes, with a comfortable, low heel, plenty of width, and flexibility. They look great with a suit or with casual pants, and have come in a variety of colours and types of leather over the years. Really outstanding dress shoe.

Can't have enough Vans, although their weakness is the glue between the fabric and the side part.

I have really wide feet and the only shoes that I have found that fit me right are ASICS :(

I have a few pairs of Globe shoes, but they are pretty tight and uncomfortable.

You should try Mizuno. I've tried several pairs over the years and it always feels like my foot is floating around in them. I have a pair of indoor shoes from them because of a gift card and I have to wear two pairs of socks to get them to sit right

Pretty happy with my Chuck II high tops.

Awww yeah.

If you ever get them wet they never feel the same, and if your feet sweat in them they end up smelling like death. But every few years I end up getting a new pair. They just look too good as a casual sneaker regardless of your age. I always dug them but it was Will Smith in iRobot that finally sold me on them.

Sneakers: Nike Presto - several colors

Also sneakers: Onistuka Tigers Serrano (mad comfortable)

For dress shoes, it's mostly Kenneth Cole or Church's

I need help GAF. The All white mens Ultra Boosts were a limited run and I had no idea, I really wanted a pair. I have the black ones and they're so comfy, is there anything that's all white and comparable to these? I live in Australia btw

Nike Rosches have a SIMILAR (kind of) silhouette and they're half the price (or less) but the Adidas are definitely more comfy and better looking

I have bought a number of pairs of Tigers but have only ever bought the canvas variety. I tried on a pair of a non-canvas pair the other day and it felt a little tight in the toes and the front of my foot.

Has anyone bought any of Onitsuka's Lawnship or Appian varieties that can weigh in on the sizing of those vs their Mexico 66? I have a pair of OC Runners in my size coming off eBay and we'll see how they feel.. they were cheap enough that it was worth a shot.

I am looking at picking these two pairs up..

I loved my Onitsuka Tiger 81s but they wore out really fast, as in like a year. As in, the tread on the bottom is all gone and I slide around if I'm not walking on carpet.

Would not buy again for that reason.

My latest pickup (and first pair of Gazelles). Beautiful shoes.

I just got a pair and I do like them but goddamn the tongue is so hard! Really hurts the top of my arch if I wear them all day and lace them a little too tight. Good looking shoes though.

Nothing beats the reliability of a good pair of Clark's. I have a few pairs of boat shoes, and a few oxfords as well.

Upping the shoe game is something I've considered, but I'm not hip enough to pull off a pair of desert boots. I'm too much of a jeans guy, and I don't care for how the two look together on me, specifically.

I have been wearing checkered slip-on Vans for like 5 years straight. I should probably look for something new, but I'm lazy and don't like tying shoes. Plus it just feels like it's my thing at this point.

I'm in love with the last pair I bought - Puma super liga.

not that color but thats the coolest looking picture I could find.

I didn't know Onitsuka's were a thing, those things look great... definitely gonna have to order a pair or two. Price is super reasonable as well.

I get some flack for having 'driving shoes', but I really love em' since the cut is nice and thin and they feel so good. But I like my Pilotis.

These are my work shoes. I've owned the Vasque Men's Breeze 1.0 and 2.0 GTX plus the St. Elias GTX Backpacking Boot.

Ecco. Spent two years walking hours a day in a country with a lot of cobblestone and they lasted until the very end when the inner sole finally broke through from the wear. Some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn too.

Merrell All Out Blaze Aero Sport. About as comfortable as their Moab shoe but much more lightweight, slim, and breathable. As you walk you can just feel air blowing through your feet; it's pretty cool. I think they look good too but I tend to dress in sporty hike fashion (Prana Wyatt pants instead of jeans or chinos, t-shirts, Patagonia or Prana top layers, etc.). I wouldn't try wearing these shoes with business casual attire or something.

Adiddas Superstar. Always have a clean pair ready to put on. shame I can only wear sneakers on Fridays.. stupid dress code... I bought a Superstar once a year for the last 15 years now...

I hate to shop so I like coming into the store and say: I'll take these in size 10 and not even have to try them on... priceless!

Yeah, the tread definitely wears down on them because the sole is fairly small to begin with. These other varieties appear to have a more substantial one so they may last a little longer. I've been wearing a pair of Mexico 66s now for nearly 4 years and they are an absolute mess with no tread at all on the heel and the canvas is ripped on both of them.. but they're so comfy and I have not been able to find a replacement in this color scheme (bought them in Japan) which I really love. They're black with what I believe they refer to as champagne accents.
