dont wear brand names as a rule. Usually a nice black long sleeve t-shirt with a long sleeve button down shirt worn over (layers are important) and then some jeans and some non-descript black shoes.

Sounds like your taste is a rather.... un-unique one.

faded jeans and a hoodie are what I am most comfortable in when not going out/doing anything.

Wow way to distance yourself from the conformists. Do you listen to gothic industrial? :D

I wear one of these:
- black t-shirt
- garnet t-shirt
- maroon t-shirt
- grey t-shirt
- white t-shirt
- green t-shirt
- blue t-shirt
- Gamecocks t-shirt

...and a pair of shorts. Add some grey socks and my all-purpose basketball shoes, and ta-dah. This look should serve me well until 2020 or so when we are all required to wear neon jumpsuits.

In which order do you get dressed? Whats your favourite way to tie your laces? Do you shop retail or discount? What soap do you use? Does it dry your skin? Does my arse look big in this? Oh crap I think my periods just came.

My tastes? Uber-expensive. Think Helmut Lang, Morrissey, Ralph Lauren and Marcs meshed with streetwear, lots of Paul Frank, Mossimo, Joe the Taxi Driver, Industrie, Mooks, Onitsuka, Nike etc. I don't wear anything but brand-names as a rule.

My g/f is the real fashionista though, from her entire walk-in wardrobe she'd probably only have a handful of tops that cost under $200. I think she has nearly the entire this and last seasons collection of Sass & Bide tops and bottoms and the rest is all Tsubi, One Teaspoon, Lisa Ho, Allanah Hill etc.

Usually some type of Polo Jeans shorts (khaki cargo frequently) or jeans. Got on some brown DKNY jeans right now. Typically band t-shirts (wearing The Killers currently although to class today I wore a Mouse on Mars one... going to a Rilo Kiley concert so in very casual wear) or Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Lucky Brand, Diesel, etc. button-up shirts (not necessarily full-length button, frequently "polo-style.") I'd never touch A&F, AE, Hollister, Urban Outfitters or any of those bullshit brands though.

For shoes, I switch off between some Banana Republic flip-flops, some ADIDAS and some Pumas.

90% of my stuff is from American Eagle, the rest are just t-shirts I've collected over the years. Mainly game or sports related.

Lol Alpha, you and the thread starter look like clones from those pics 'cept for the shoes. :p

I actually commend Poody on his great taste.

Poody: Thanks, dude.

okay, be for real: is this a place to crack wise at others' expense, or are we being all open in our leisure fashion choices?

i will reserve my judgement until you tell me otherwise, Poody.

This isn't meant to rag on other peoples clothes. I've seen plenty of shoe threads and so forth so why not create a clothing thread to see what others are wearing. Gaf seems to be on par with fashion trends. I dont see anyone mocking what others wear although HalfPastNoon insist his clothes gets laughed at.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
Stuff kinda like what Alpha posted. I guess I tend ot dress casual-preppy.

I'm not going to post anything and everything I wear casually, but I'll openly admit that I'm a bit of a Levi's jeans whore. All my jeans are Levi's...

yes, I am certainly among the fashion elite.

i wear a plain red/blue/grey t-shirt along with a plain pair of pants (either tan or blue for the most part....light shirt, dark pants, and vice versa), and a pair of white tennis shoes. Occasionally some band t-shirt, and a few branded t-shirts my parents give me. Otherwise they are just random nondescript cloths.

I can't match clothes for shit (hence my dark shirt, light pants policy), and have no sense of style, so anything more complicated than solid color shirts cause me too much of a headache. All of my habits regarding what I wear problem stem from me being a lazy/crappy clothes shopper, being partially color blind, and being cheap.

I use to go bargain shopping so thats a great place to start for others with money contraints. You'll be surprised what you'll find for cheap.

I shop at nordstrom. I am so elitist. I wear $120 sandels, and I dont even have a real job (I make $100 a month). My shoes are cheaper than my sandels (Puma Gray Suede Romas'). Blue Jeans, and polo shirts. I swear I am not preppy!

Let us all hail Nordstroms. I spent at least three hundred dollars purchasing sweaters and tops there during the month of September. Their sweaters are so trashy Victorian chimney-sweep -- trend of tomorrow. I cannot resist.

I seem to find things I like at Express, AE and BP, but I have little money so I usually do what I can being thrifty. I think I've worked out something good, usually a blend of those kind of styles but not arrfaid of being a little college student bummish at times (i.e. wearing a zip hoodie with a striped button-up). I'm very picky about my clothes, I can't really nail down what I think looks good that I could explain it but I somehow end up being very particular anyway.

I really like the clothes at banana republic. I am pretty skinny and I like the way their shirts are cut. Also like shopping in the department stores generally. For some reason I always hated A&F, can't exactly explain it, just don't like the style of their clothes. And I generally wear some type of Kenneth Cole shoes. Too hard to find nice sneakers these days. :(

Am I the only one who hates the artifically worn jeans craze? When I want broken-in jeans I want REAL wear. The whiskers just look so forced and painted-on

This is my #1 problem with a lot of stores. I'm skinny and kind of short (5'8") but the rest of the country is big and tall in comparison, so a lot of clothes don't fit right, they are just cut too wide or whatever and look like crap on me. This makes me need to go to these other stores just for something decent, but then I'm not loaded or anything so I just have to hope I have good luck on the thrift market. If I lived in Japan there would be no problem. :/

Also like shopping in the department stores generally.
Not an option for me due to the aforementioned issues, though occasionally Target might have something decent.

I think I'm starting to hate the smedium shirt craze. It's weird seeing a bunch of guys who are 5'11", 150 pounds walking around with skin tight shirts all the time.
