There was a sale on striped shirts at my Old Navy a couple of weeks ago. I got some nice ones.

Here's a shot of what I wear most of the time to University.

Black t-shirts and jeans. And nice Dockers shoes with a Helly Hansen jacket. Sometimes I dress up and wear khakis and solid-colour shirts with my Danier Leather Jacket.

Stop praising Ben Sherman too :lol, you can get a lot of striped shirts that look the same for way cheap if you really want!

'Eh? BS isn't only striped shirts, they have heaps of different materials and patterns. And you can get anything cheap if you dont want any little extras like style and/or Italian cotton.

Vokal, Ecko, DKNY, Enyce, Timberland, Kangol, New Era (and the random nameless brand that looks/fits good anyway). I'm so 'hip hop trendy!'

Well, the Italian cotton is one thing. But if it's the exact same shirt, sans the brand, how does that negate the style of the HOLY FUCK CAPTAIN PLANET IS ON!!!

...how does that negate the style of the outfit?

My casual and going out clothes are pretty much the same. Different shoes do a LOT!

G-Star Radar Low Loose. Usually a shirt of a band I like, with a long sleeve underneath, black, white, red, green, depending on which colors are on the print of the t-shirt. And sneakers with matching colours of the rest.

Lol! :p

Well, based on all the cheap shirts I've owned I'm just assuming it hasn't got a decent cut to the sides for one thing.

And, err..

/jumps off the catwalk and bolts for the exit..

Wtf, haven't heard of half of the brands you people are talking about. I wear band tshirts, most of which I grab at concerts, and nice tight jeans. I get pissed if a new tshirt costs me more than $13. I dabble in a little thrift store shopping here and there.

Black Rockport walkers; black socks; black slacks.

Either a long-sleeved T-shirt or a long-sleeved button down shirt during the week, or a T-shirt during the weekend. No visible brand names or logos, though I get most of my shirts from Banana Republic. Colors are either black, gray, blue, or green, with the occasional burgundy.

You look like everyone else if you still wear striped shirts IMO. I only bought one, and that was a way long time ago (+1 year), and I'd never buy another, because they all look the same to me. Stop praising Ben Sherman too :lol, you can get a lot of striped shirts that look the same for way cheap if you really want!
I haven't seen a single shirt that looks anything like my Ben Sherman shirt, taking pattern, fabric and fit into account.

Wow everyone here is so original!! I never knew I could wear some generic striped shirt over my generic t-shirt! Really guys fasions are such crap. I mean I haven't really seen or heard a single thing on here that would make me think anyone's style on here is any different from anyone else's. I personally don't wear anything different either, but I don't try to act like I do either. Hooray for being comformist!

I guess that's why I rarely see anyone dressed like me around here. I dress more nicely than the average guy......I'm such a CONFORMIST!

I'm usually in a pair of Gap/Structure (I REFUSE TO CALL IT EXPRESS) jeans on, which are almost all either gifts or jeans my cousin doesn't wear anymore. He buys clothes all the time, and I take advantage of him trying to stay "in style". :p

As for Tshirts, ditto for some. A few from my cousin, and the rest are Nike/Astros/Texans/Rockets shirts, or those shirts they sell at Champs/Footlocker for like 3 for 20 bucks. The ones that are solid color with stripes across the chest so they don't look so damned plain.

As for shoes, solid black tennis shoes...or my brown Docker's boots.

Alpha: whatever you were wearing last year/2 years ago...is what I usually wear nowadays. :D

Yeah, this thread needs more real wardrobe content pics and less google pics. Get them digicams out lads and show me your true American style!

We dont get a lot of your brands down here like (based on the labels in this thread) Gap, Banana Republic, Steve Madden, RVCA, Express For Men, Hollister and American Eagle.

They all sound very Orange County to me, very clean-cut Gant-style, is that about right?

LOL WTF is "Orange County" clothing? We're just any other suburb, except we have a show named after us. This is assuming that you mean OC, CA, not any of the other Orange Counties in the world

pants: cycle between loose fitting blue jeans and kahkis.

shirts: usually loose fitting, non-descript T-shirts, polos or button down long sleeves rolled up to my elbows... all usually a single, solid color (except the buttoned shirts).. and always with an undershirt.. usually white, but I love to mix and match with different colored undershirts, e.g. red or yellow undershirt with a blue polo. My favorite shirt color is green so you'll see me in a lot of that.

shoes: I usually wear either white/blue sneaks or dark trail/hiking shoes.

hat: It's usually a 30% chance that I'll wear a fitted baseball cap.

Speaking of hats, am I the only one who pretty much avoids hats at all costs? The only time I'll be wearing something on my head is if it's freezing cold, and it'll most likely be the hood on my jacket. Maybe this is a habit stemming from pre-highschool when I eventually gave up wearing baseball caps because my hair would always stick up like crazy after taking them off.

I typically shop at:
Bon-Macy's
Urban Outfitters
Banana Republic
Kenneth Cole
H&M (whenever I'm on the east coast, I love that store)

I try not to be a brand whore, but they typically make clothes I actually like.

Sorry didnt mean to confuse you. :) All the preppy stuff the kids get around in on the TV show, Orange County. I was wondering if that's representative of these American brands which we dont get in Australia:

Gap, Banana Republic, Steve Madden, RVCA, Express For Men, Hollister and American Eagle.

We do get some Timberland stuff, thats an American brand isnt it? But I've only seen the wigga homeboys getting into that stuff.

What program do you use to photoshop a picture?

Nice! Well if we're doing recent purchases I picked this cotton Polo crewneck up yesterday as the weather is getting cooler down here:

Not the flashest piece in the wardrobe but should look as equally ace with some tatty jeans and trainers as it does with my work getup. :p
