greg orlando? i sure do remenber you. i have a question. in the video-game world there are countless magazines devoted to covering many aspects of the video-game craze. yet, comic books only have one magazine that does this. wizard. why do you suppose that is?

That's a good question, and I'm not sure I'll be able to answer it properly. Maybe it's because comics don't have as huge an audience as video games. I mean, the most popular ongoing, monthly comic in the United States sells, what? a few hundred-thousand (and this is being generous) copies at most?

Hm. And I'm not even sure Wizard is the only print publication covering comics either. Is Comics Journal still publishing? I always liked the magazine's literary criticism approach to comics, although it always seemed to me its writers would be rather self-indulgent and exclusionary. And what about the newspaper in tabloid form that printed news about comics -- the one that Peter David did that really neat column for and whose name now escapes me?

Comics Journal is the one published by Fantagraphics. Its site is here: http://www.tcj.com/

I can't recall the name of the other one. It's an actual newspaper -- tabloid-sized, and it's not Cliff Biggers' Comic Shop News.

Gah! This is haunting me. Someone help me out.

green arrow used a green lantern ring, hawkeye was killed because the scarlet witch got high on PCP. therefore

green arrow>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> hawkeye. and arrow is the better marksman.

Looks like Birdman to me, or a miscolored wolverine. :p

Hawkeye- First Appearance:

Tales of Suspense #57 (September, 1964)

Birdman- First Appearance:

Birdman and the Galaxy Trio - Birdman Episode #1 "The Menace Of Dr. Millenium" (Hanna-Barbera for NBC, 9th September 1967)

And I know Wolvie is 1974.

;P

"Batman's a scientist."

"It's NOT BATMAN."

One of the best Simpson quotes ever.

And Batman is a superhero because he can kick Superman's ass.

he cant beat superman, he can slow him down (a teeny bit) by using the kryptonite that SUPERMAN HIMSELF gave him. so therefore, batman= superman's bitch. he'll do whatever supes tells him to.

If you haven't read Invincible...

Yep, their Superman-type wipes the floor of their world's Justice League the way Supes could do gone evil.

In a related question, if it suddenly turned out that Batman had some latent or subtle power all along, would he suddenly suck (more)?

I mean, IMO, really the only thing he's got going for him is his humanity... everything else someone can pretty much do better. But Batman's become increasingly sucky lately lacking humanity (particularly in terms of character/emotion/will/etc.) that aliens, ghosts, and clay golems see human by comparison.
