no effect. I am not paying for this piece of shit with shit free gmes I've finished 2 years prior.
All I want from ps+ is to be able to play souls games and elden ring with online functionality... and I ain't paying 100$ for that.
The console itself is amazing and well worth the money times over.
But the ps+ crap can go f itself.
Basic online should be FREE and with no stupid free games

Had it for a year in 2022 before the 30% price hike which came I believe around 2023/4.
Played a bunch of games which interested me and since then nothing really caught my eye. Plus the price hikes don't help.
I am not playing online.

No effect. The cost across a year is peanuts for the amount I play online. If I didn't play online very much I'd just drop it. I have Essential.

The bonuses are still nice. Do I think online should be free? Yup. Do I think the things locked behind paying are lame? Yup.

And no, I'm not moving to the cheater infested online that is very prominent in PC games.

People use PS plus? For what? Veilguard?
According to some people around here (a yearly sub, no less) is mandatory and a cost that must be added to the price of a PlayStation console....I have paid for 2 months in 4 years, but somehow my PS5 must have cost me $500 + ~$250 on PS+ subs according to those people.

I unsubbed after the last price increase.
Then some friends really wanted to play some co-op stuff on PS4/5 over the last year so I subbed back up.

Right now the plan is to drop it again once it runs out (in like July)

I have a year left of deluxe or premium, whichever is the highest tier. I never use it, if anything I'll downgrade to the lowest.

I've put the Playstation Eco system on pause. Waiting for them to release old games on PC.
Also waiting for Sony to releases a Super Playstation that can beat the pants off the PC for less than $2000, tariffs and all.

None, i already downgraded to the lowest tier last November cuz after playing all the games that interested me in the library i started giving it little use. Will keep with the Essential tier untill next November then decide if i renew or not.

Prices of everything are going up so it is what it is.

What pisses me off is that Sony doesn't allow current subscribers to take advantage of discount subscriptions that come every holiday, so I said fuck you and let mine expire. If there ends up being a good summer discount I may renew, but I realize how perfectly fine I have been without it so I may not.

My Gamepass subscription ends next month and I wont be renewing that.

I'm good, after it went up to 80/yr and they killed the yearly discounts AND put stipulations on yearly renewal discounts i do all my online gaming on PC. Keep suckering yourself into thinking every game is filled with hackers cause you suck but I'll be damned if I give Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo a dime for what's free elsewhere

I am USA USA USA but I am still not happy about it.

A. I believe we could still get hit with another increase soon.

B. I will take any opportunity I can to bitch about the save data being held hostage behind a paywall.

I unsubscribed from Plus around two years ago, though I still have it as I was paid up for years. My PS5 is covered in dust to be honest, haven't used it in several months, so Plus is a waste for me.

I have the 2nd tier which I got at 25% off and 10% on top for PSN cards. I will probably downgrade to lowest tier or cancel depending on discounts.

Does Fortnite sync between Console and PC accounts? Kids would be annoyed AF otherwise, lol.

Fortnite doesn't require PS+.

I'm in the US so nothing changes.

I'm a ps premium tier subscriber and get a lot of value out of it, with game trials and the game catalogue.

It pays for itself by letting me play a lot of games I'd otherwise not play or try out if I had to buy them

It's like $10/month or whatever, if this is your hobby that's not exactly highway robbery.

It will mean nothing in practice, because I already unsubbed a while back. I'm done with Playstation. Sony has turned to trash and I'm done paying their garbage extortion fees for shit that's free on my PC. They also wasted an entire generation on deadend GAAS slop, so they have no unique content worth firing up the old, dusty PS5 for. Keeping a sub turned pointless and even more so with their price increases.

I plan to not renew after my stacking is over. Made up my mind on that like a year ago. I don't play MP much and I have enough backlog myself that I don't really need the monthly games either.

In case the price increases in the US, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for black friday sales. As it is $80 is too much.

I honestly forgot Playstation plus even existed its been shit since day one

I'm in the US and so I don't think we got another price increase? Regardless my sub lapsed in January and I'm not paying their ridiculous prices anymore. I imagine at some point a multiplayer game will come along and really make me want to resubscribe, but hopefully I'll be able to resist. For now it's single player or f2p games only.

If we get enough people to complain and unsubscribe, they will drop the price.

As an aside I did the same thing with Netflix. Unsubscribed a few months ago and have no plans to go back with their bullshit pricing. Haven't missed it at all yet.
