I'm barely surviving Strange Journey on Impossible difficulty.

Finished NEO: The World Ends With You. It was great all the way through, story was probably slightly worse than the original DS game yet still interesting. Gameplay was much better. Had a blast getting the platinum.

Just bought Caligula Effect:Overdose since it's on sale on PSN, had my eye on it for a while but kept hemming and hawing. I'm about 2-3 hours in and the combat system is unique and fun trying to maximize. It definitely has a Persona vibe to it with the music and setting, but earlier Persona since it's a bit darker. Hoping this will last until the new Phoenix Wright gets its first discount in a month or two :)

Beat Skyward Sword HD. First time playing. Couldn't do it with the original Wii version. I played with button controls, not motion.

It was incredibly frustrating. You have to flick the right stick the right way or Link does this spazzy Parkinson's esque twitch and won't fully swing the sword. When it did this on an upward swing it looked like Link was jackin off. It really was annoying during boss fights where you have a short window to rip into a downed enemy and you run over and try to spam attack and he doesn't fully swing the sword a single time and you get no hits in. Also needs some major quality of life improvements.

But overall it was a good experience and I put like 55 hours into it. Would've been really great with normal controls and QOL improvements.

The "curator's cut" of this and the next in the anthology both show as free to me in the PSN store, so I claimed them. Never heard of them, was looking for a good adventure to start next.
I got excited when I saw this but unfortunately those scenes are only playable after having finished the main game

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Still with Alien Soldier, and still getting my ass handed to me by the Seven Force.
Also started Snatcher on the Sega CD. Played it many years ago and it's still as great as back then, specially it's art and music.

I've been playing my old Sega Genesis recently. I've had Sonic 3, and Sonic and Knuckles since they came out, but never actually played through them until now. It was really fun, I love the way Sonic controls in it, easier to move around. I just unlocked Hyper Sonic, so I've been blasting through all the levels again like that.

I don't like the way Sonic looks in some shots though, compared to the previous games.

Looks kinda clumsy, and lost a finger

Here's the ending picture from Sonic 2. Feels a lot cleaner and tight

I think the Sonic 3 one is my least favourite

Missing a few of the easier achievements, but just finished Crackdown 3. Pretty good game and length was decent, didn't seem to drag like the first Crackdown did.

Going to finally start Halo 5: Guardians SP on Legendary. Finished like the first 5 missions during launch, but never completed it. As long as I beat it before Infinite's release, I'm good.

Booted up AC Odyssey now that I got it cheap on a sale. Seems like a good time to dive in to this franchise again after the 60 fps patch on PS5. Last time I played AC was Black Flag and I didn't have a good time, but I'm willing to give it a new shot.

The first thing I did was to disable 80% of the HUD. I hate how cluttered up the screen is in these games. And honestly, it's so much better without the hand holding and annoying quest markers that interrupt the flow of the game. I want explore the world for myself. The only thing guiding me is the eagle and I think that is a good way to set me on the right path.

The graphics are beautiful, absolutely stunning in some areas (I'm still on the first island). It's very clean looking, with nice water effects and tropical vistas looking up from the horizon.

I like the freedom in that you can climb onto anything. It gives the exploration a nice depth to it. Combat is fun but a little floaty and lacks that punch in the strikes. But it's fun and that's what's count.

I hope Odyssey can hold my attention to the end. It's off to a good start.

Beat several games in my backlog now I'm on my new games

Playing No More Heroes 3 (F'n awesome game btw) already 8hrs in after buying physical copy late yesterday lol

Zelda Skyward Sword HD with button controls (It's better than Wii motion but still gimmicky)

Psychonauts 2 (Barely started)

Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice optimized for Series X (GOAT game, ready for sequel)

Assassin's Creed Odyssey optimized for Series X (Plays way better now than borehalla with 60fps)

Keeping myself busy until Metroid Dread, Shin Megami Tensei V and Halo Infinite! Great year for Xbox and Nintendo

Hades: First "roguelike/lite" I've been able to get into. Finally escaped with all weapons the other day, now I'll focus on finishing the story

Skyward Sword HD: Still fairly early on but so far it's pretty fun, intro wasn't as bad as I thought and the motion controls are better than I expected. At the same time I had heard this one has amazing dungeons, but the first one was pretty basic, now I'm getting to the fire one hoping it gets better.

Before they fixed Fi in the HD version, it was without exception one of the most hand-holdy games I've ever played. Perhaps more so than any of their highly casual-oriented games on Wii. More so than games like Wii Fit, or any other "blue ocean" game. It was to the point where it was insulting, really.

So yeah the first dungeon is basically a glorified tutorial. It gets really good after that.

I really need to settle on one game. I downloaded Horizon Zero Dawn to check out the PS5 patch and try Frozen Wilds, decided to do a new game+ and was instantly sucked back in. I forgot how great this game is, and now in 4K @ 60 fps it's a new kind of gorgeous all over again. Before I knew it the morning and half the afternoon was gone. Haven't even touched Frozen Wilds yet lol.

Oh, fucking hell BB... now I'm going to do that too.

But I have Hades to finish... and Returnal... and Psychonauts 2 to play... and Metro Exodus to carry on with... and The Medium to complete... and Fallout VR to try and ... oh my god, I'm going to kill myself.

Been in a horror mood lately. Playing the following:

Visage
The first person horror genre seems completely oversaturated with really shallow titles. I've bought loads over the years and refunded them within ten minutes and I wasn't sure if Visage would be any different but woa! One of the scariest and most tense games that I've played in a while. I finished that chapter with the camera and absolutely bloody loved it! A game hasn't actually scared or made me jump in a while.

Tormented Souls
Had this on my wishlish for a while and my PS5 told me it was finally on sale yesterday. I wasn't expecting much but it's pretty good to be fair. The presentation isn't up to much visually, but the combat is okay and I quite like the setting and environments. Puzzles are decent too. It's like a love letter to Resident Evil and Alone in the dark. Downside is that it's only around three hours long which is way too short.

I'll probably stick with horror when I've finished these two. Probably something from the backlog. I've got Alien Isolation, Maid of Sker, Home Sweet Home, System Shock 2, Amnesia Dark Descent and Blair Witch to play.

I’ve been playing tormented souls I love what I’m playing so far its done in the style of resident evil with the fixed camera and either the tank control with the d pad or by using the stick,to save you have to find these reels for a tape recorder.I recommend it if your into the old style resident evil games and your itching for a new survival horror game.

AC Odyssey @ 4K / 60 sure is a stunner. One of the prettiest games I've ever seen. Starting to get a good vibe from this game. I'm glad I waited out the series for so long, for this feels very fresh and fun, with more emphasis on rpg and customization, which I love. Really cool of Ubisoft to let me customize my appearance and let me retain the stats for my gear even if I'm changing the look of the armor and weapons. Never seen any games that does that. A huge plus in my book. The options are seemingly endless now.

Almost finished beating quake 64 in the remaster but ion fury came in finally. Tore up the first level and I'm in love!

Got project warlock and doom 64 on the way. Didn't know there was so much love for 90's fps

TMCC and getting my butt kicked. Also played Haven for a few quick achievements and was like, "I hope my friends aren't seeing these achievements popping up in their feeds." 🤣

So I said I was gonna take a break from jrpgs after beating Bravely Default. Well, I finished Zelda: Link's Awakening since then and I'm near the end of Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition story mode. I only have a few maps left to beat.

I also started SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked, technically it's a srpg not a jrpg. I'm on the second day

I'm re-playing some SMT games in anticipation of SMT5, I recently finished both Nocturne and SMTIV and thinking re-playing Strange Journey Redux next.
I'm doing something similar. I haven't actually played the games before though. I've beaten Persona 5, P5 Strikers, Nocturne and SMTIV. I just started DeSu Overclocked. Which is your favourite?

Just about finished with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (singleplayer only). What a game. I don't know why it got trashed so hard, and sold less than the others -- it's been engaging all the way through. It's my favorite in the series once they started adding more of everything and became fully mainstream. (World at War is my favorite before Modern Warfare 4.)

The entire series isn't bad at all. This will be the last one I play until there's another sale, lol.

For all the games in my backlog I went and bought Metro Exodus. Metro franchise so can't really go wrong. There's tradeoffs to having a more open world but there's always someone/something new to see.

What time is it?
Quake (PS5): Wrapped up the main campaign. Had a total blast reliving my young adulthood.
Halo 2 (XSX): I have one mission left. The level design feels narrow and small compared to CE. Towards the later levels, I just ignored the combat and ran towards the end. I'm remember why I really dislike this campaign.
Armed and Dangerous (XSX): Loved this on the OG Xbox but boy has it not aged well.
Condemned (XSX): Speaking of not aging well or maybe I'm just not in the mood for a hobo pipe bludgeoning simulator.
Doom 64 (Switch): About halfway through the campaign.
Flight Sim (XSX): Just doing some the Discovery Flights.

Regarding Horizon again, the 3D audio with a headset now really adds to this experience as well. Makes using Alloy's ear-thingy she has kind of cool, just to hear the nuance of the far off sounds, and one now knows exactly where multiple enemies are around you just from sound. I have dodged so many attacks without having to fuss with the camera, because I heard them right over my shoulder or off to my side winding up and attack or rushing. This is so cool.

Making me want Forbidden West even more now.

Finished Resident Evil 4 on GameCube, then on PS2, then finished Assignment Adda and Separate Ways, both on PS2.

What a glorious game.

I actually started up the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign since I never played it. The last CoD campaign I played was Modern Warfare 2 when it came out.

Rive: Ultimate Edition (Switch)
Combines two of my favorite genres: platforming & twin-stick shooter. Runs at 60fps on Switch so it feels fluid and buttery smooth. Great presentation, lots of enemy variety. It's a short but strongly preferred over artificially lengthening with no saves and making it rouge-like.

Finally managed to beat Alien: Soldier, pretty cool game and very challenging until you learn it. Totally one of my favorite games for the Mega Drive.

Now playing Super Castlevania IV. Managed to get to Dracula's Castle, but it becomes much harder after that.

Went out for some hunting in AC Odyssey. I haven't killed any animals in the game except ones that are hostile (bears, wolves) so I decided to give it a try. So I crouch and aim my bow at a deer that is coming my way. I fire the arrow and kill it with one clean hit. A couple of seconds later I see that the deer is accompanied by a little baby deer that walks forward and start sniffing on his mama, confused why she isn't standing up anymore. Felt like shit afterwards. No more hunting in this fucking game, I tell you.

The fuck? I never noticed this while playing Odyssey and I put a shit ton of hours into the game. That's awesome.
It's these small details that I wish developers start adding to open world games. I have high hopes for Rockstar on their next grand theft auto game.

But fuck man, Valhalla looks like shit. I installed that yesterday and couldn't believe how much worse than Odyssey it looks. Even Unity looks better than Valhalla and that game's a few years old now.
