I saw lot of people get excited for that game but to me it looks like another janky meme game similar to goat simulator which was funny at first but the novelty wears off pretty quickly.
Maybe I'm too slow, but can somebody explain the political agenda Rift Apart is pushing? Or is it because you play as Rivet?
I'm at the final mansion and I have to go back to finishing the game. This mission I'm on is where you have to suck up all the ghosts under a invisible time limit. It's just tedious at times and I'll eventually go back to the game but that mission especially annoyed the shit out of me. Since I either kept on dying or that invisible time limit ran out
Finished Luigi's Mansion 2. Which means I got this part:
Luckily I finished that section on my first try but I had your post in the back of my head the whole time as the pace of the music picked up and the lighting got darker and darker. It's a hard game to rate since I absolutely adore the level design and all the gags found in each room, but on the other hand, the act of ghost busting crosses into tedium territory long before the credits roll and I wasn't trying to collect all the gems or boos. I really hate how abruptly a mission can end which pulls you away from the strongest point of the game in exploration. And as much as like visiting the locales, I don't think I'd want to backtrack and deal with all the forced ghost busting. That's partly due to controls and partly due to how the game handles escalation. I think I would have been much happier if I'd have sucked up 50% fewer ghosts in my playthrough. Just like in LM3, the economy is kind of busted. I got the final upgrade in World 4 and I imagine you'd get it much sooner if you were revisiting missions to collected missed gems and boos. The upgrades are important for busting shielded ghosts so I understand why the progression work they way it does but they could have added in something to incentivize players to keep collecting money (let me buy a winter coat for the snow level). Variety in ghost design is fine, they just get overused. There are no stand out boss battles either and I thought a lot of the later encounters were bad. It's a game I want to love and there is an aspect that I certainly do, everything else though just erodes that love to something I never want to play again.
Yeah when I go back to the game I know I have that mission and than the final mission to get though
The mansion look fantastic in HD but I hate how I can't explore the mansions in full and have to adher to the mission structure. Like you said though it really makes the game tedious. I wish they did more than just a remaster of the game. By the third Mansion I just stopped really caring about getting all the boos and all the gems.
I only played Luigi Mansion 3 and so far that's my favorite game in that franchise. I got all the Boos and all the Gems on each floor
There probably wasn't the budget for this release, but it being re-imagined and ditching the mission structure would have been interesting.
I really enjoyed LM3 but it does have some of the same faults, especially in regards to the economy. I think the original is still my favorite as the short run time better suits what these games have to offer but games that short seem taboo these days.
Powerwash Simulator devs have confirmed that the infinite loading screen bug cannot be fixed. The only option is to delete all save data and start all over. Fuck. That. Noise. It is totally unacceptable. They should offer to give affected players all of the equipment and gear that is lost by deleting save data. They keep pumping out DLC, though. What a shitty indictment of the current shitty industry this is, when even dime-a-dozen simulator games devs' are this greedy and tone deaf.
Holy shit. Sorry if that happened to you. I'd feel utterly defeated.
Thank you. I wasn't even done with the career, but I believe I had gone pretty far along. I was also taking my time and completing every objective on every level for 100%, and I was also trophy hunting every level. I intended to see and play every level across all modes, and try for the platinum trophy. I enjoyed the game that much. Something the devs did in an update corrupted A LOT of people's save files, causing this bug. They keep apologizing so at least they aren't ignoring their fuck-up, yet they are very silent about doing anything at all to offer some type of compensation. I'm usually not one of those people to cry for compensation, but plenty of people are being vocal about their disappointment. The game has a pretty passionate and supportive fanbase, but even they're pissed off about this one.
Thanks for reminding me. This is the game that will be delisted soon, right? I am waiting, assuming the price goes to the same or less just before it poofs forever. The game is maximum price on the store right now. ($80 CAD)I've been spending a ton of free time playing through Forza Horizon 4 since they had the complete game on sale for $20 a month ago. God, I love racing games with a wheel and pedal setup. Playing at 4k really helps the immersion too. All racing games need cockpit view.
Yeah sometime in December it delists. It looks like the ultimate edition has been dropping to $20 pretty regularly this year. Thanks for reminding me. I really enjoy the first game on Xbox 360. I just got into playing it this year. I played the demo of 4 and it was pretty much the same, except the season thing confused me. "Wait until autumn" was next on my quest list, and I was playing it in May. I'm thinking, what sort of bullshit live service is this? I have since come to understand that the seasons change each week.
I bought Motorsport 4 and it was... okay. Felt more generic, like Gran Turismo. AI drivers were awful, each race was like an obstacle course. Horizon is much more fun.
This is another reason why discs are superior. I sold that game a week after release for just a bit less than I paid. I suffered 30 hours before realizing it wasn’t going to get any better.I should force myself to continue FFXVI that I don't like
I feel you. Have played these games countless times, know every level in and out. Middle of Halo 2 is where I sit right now. Even with mods it's tough. I might skip the rest of H2 and try some modded Halo 3. Modded Halo CE was amazing.Last time I played Halo MCC in its entirety was on the release of the XSX. It was aging then, but man I just cant do it all again. I got as far as half way through Halo 2 and just cant carry on. Fond farewell. But I'm done for good with it now.
I'm now going to do Halo 5 though as whilst not amazing, doesn't feel so damn dated. And doesn't have some of the bugs MCC has.
Fingers crossed for the Halo CE remake. I'd love an entire full remake of Halo MCC.
Played the hell out of it when it released and also enjoyed everything you mentioned. Even modded it and played it again with 30fps video, classic camera angles, Dreamcast character models, remastered backgrounds, and quick turn. It is so good to have a copy I can fire up on PC.Played a couple of hours of Resident Evil on GOG, who has released the original trilogy in a bundle on their storefront. I've only played the console versions before on PS (original and DC) so it was interesting to see how the game fared in this new PC-release.
The first thing I want to address is that this version reinstates the uncensored, colored intro that was missing in both the original and the Directors Cut version (we here in the EU got a censored, black and white version instead). The cut scenes are also uncensored, with the most notable example being the famous shot of the first zombie appearance, where he bites off the head of Stars member Kenneth. Here in the uncensored version you get to see Kenneths decapitated head fall on the carpet where in the censored version it was left out. To my knowledge, this is the first time this has happened in any previously released version of RE, so right off the bat, GOG proves they are based as fuck.
Other improvements are the character models. They look great and are vastly improved. They don't look like choppy polygonal blocks anymore, which was common on Playstation back in the day, they look like actual real people, which helps with the immersion. The game runs at 1080p at 120hz which makes for super smooth gameplay. They have removed the use of ink ribbons so now you can save anytime you want. A blessing if you ask me. But the most important improvement of them all is that you can actually skip the door loading animation. Yep, one press of the button and you skip the whole loading sequence. This is fantastic as watching the door animation gets tedious as hell when you've played the game multiple times like I have.
I consider this version as superior. It's a great way to rediscover (or discover, if it's your first time) Resident Evil in all its 1996 glory. GOG is doing Lord's work preserving these classics and making small but pivotal adjustments to them so they feel modernized without losing their nostalgic charm.
Yeah, if I had it on disk, I would have sold it already. I shouldn't fool myself, I won't go back I think. I'm 16 hours in.This is another reason why discs are superior. I bet people are more likely to drudge through bad games when they are stuck with the digital version.
I’m still playing Metaphor and just reached second city…the part you need present a head you hunted
the story is getting soooo damn good and I’m still baffled how this game managed to keep T rating.
I’m gonna have a hard time choosing between Metaphor and Unicorn Overlord as my GOTY.

P.S. The ink ribbons are only absent in Jill's campaign (i.e. Easy Mode).
Just Seamless HD Project mod but there are randomizers and other ones around. Getting it to work is a pain.Do you have a link to the mods you are using? Would love to improve it further.

Bear in mind that the application has a memory limit set by the video card emulated and the game crashes once its reached. I am pretty sure I can run it for about an hour with 2GB setting.I tried installing Rebirth but since I'm using AMD I got weird graphical glitches. Gonna try downloading dgvoodoo and see if it helps. Thanks!
