I'm about 75% of the way through A Plague Tale: Innocence. It's like if that scene from Indiana Jones (Rats.... why'd it have to be rats?") had a kids' cast from a French Stand By Me and was made into a 10 hour game or so. I like it, but I want to try and get it wrapped up before Christmas morning.

I pick 3 games on the PS4 sale, though I still intend to pick a physical game later.

First - Swords of Ditto. Kinda well-looking game, I had some good fun with it...until less than 1 hour of gameplay the game crashed. And since this stupid game relies on auto-save function, guess what the save got corrupted. I barelly get the game and already have headaches. I hate so much auto-save...now I'm afraid of starting a new game and all my progress goes to hell because of this. It's kinda depressing.

Second - Aggelos. Nice and charming old pixelated game. The music seems fine and the controls looks basic to say the least. I may have some problems with how the bubble magic ring works(kinda confusing) and how the uppercut slash works(dunno if its a bug or not, but once in a while if you press up and left at the same time he executes the move). I'm stuck at the third boss, which looks like a very cheesy boss. Not a fan of this type of approach, I hope theres no more things like that in the future. Other than that, I'm having fun with it.

Third - Valkyria Chronicles Remasted. After years dating this game I finally pick it for an excellent price. And its awesome to play, more than I had ever imagined. I was afraid that the moving mechanic would be too much for me, but I get used quickly. Really enjoyable.

I am playing two games:

World of Warcraft - do not really recommend, I am just playing it out of habit and out of desire to collect everything I don't already have (and there is a lot of things to collect),

Hearthstone - it's fine and relatively new-player friendly after numerous changes in the last year (new players have an option of a slow start where they play only against other new players and get a lot of cards on the way up, new quests don't require you to win X games, just play X games, etc). If you are fine just playing casually for some brain teasers, it's alright.

Boring, I know. :)

I just did the Granny Weaver side quest in Sinking City and it was creepy as shit. The lore and story in this game is amazing. And it looks so beautiful in handheld mode. To be able to play a fully realized Lovecraft-game in a open world-enviroment in the palm of my hands is just mindblowing. Seriously, The Sinking City is shaping up to be one of my favourite games this generation. What a surprise!

Your posts are tempting me. Just not sure what "mapping out routes" means in this context that gives me pause... it's not an escort/delivery type game is it lol. If it's a survival horror game I'm in.

On my 2nd playthrough in original RE Remake with Chris and on hard mode and my god this game can be tough. I barely get any bullets so I need to do my best to avoid most enemies.

I really like the fact Chris Route can be so different compare to Jill, even some encounters can be different for example: with Plant 42 with Jill I made V-Jolt to kill it but with Chris I straight up fought with it.

I wish Residents Evil 2Remake’s two routes was similar to this.

yeah in hard mode you should avoid as many enemies as you can cuz every bullet counts

Played some RingFit Adventure and Wreckfest! I can already tell I'm going to love RingFit. The main missions are a genuine workout. However, so far the true gems are the minigames. Robo-wrecker, for instance, is as good as any Wii or arcade/carnival wack-a-mole game. Very accurate motion controls, too.

Wreckfest -- for me -- is a successor to an old Dreamcast game called Demolition Racer: No Exit. I've only played a few races / arena matches and it's great! I really like how it gives points for special hits, and I like how many courses are included. My boys' eyes lit up watching the carnage and I think it'll be a winner with them, too.

zenspider zenspider I got a copy of Sekiro for Christmas so I'm still down to play in 2020 if you are.

no need to kill if you just shoot the head then run if you can you will save more ammo
Right now I'm in the part after beating the Plant 42 and when you get back to mansion the hunters show up and two of them are near the safe house. I think I can one shot them with magnum revolver but I don’t know I should waste that.

Alpha Centauri. I feel like I'm going to spend a good 50+ hours just figuring out how everything works in this game.
Amazing game, and I hope your time with it is as memorable as it was for me. If you're willing to take a suggestion, try out several different factions before settling into the game and taking a campaign all the way to the end. Not only does it give you a good introduction to the mechanics, but it helps you gain a more complete picture of the world lore.

you could waste a bullet on one of them then run or try to dodge them if you could do that , no shotgun ? if you have shoot one bullet it will bring them down then just move on

I have but I think you right, one thing I found is its kind of much easier to avoid fast enemies like Hunters and Crimson Heads more than regular Zombies.

indeed , zombies are hard to dodge sometimes but big and fast enemies are kind of easy to avoid specially when they are about to hit at one direction , you can dodge by going to the other side

Zombies are hard to avoid in close spaces, but I sometimes try to lure them to grab me if they fail it gives me nice window to get pass them.

Yeah, it's not a flawless port. It has framefrate issues and some bad draw distance, but other that that it's pretty solid. It runs better in handheld that docked though. The Game is quite a looker in portable. But I don't really care about minor technical issues, the game is so good I overlook such flaws.

It's not a survival horror or a escort game. It's a detective game where you piece together clues and search crime scenes, talking to suspects and dig out information such as adresses and where people live.

The Game doesn't really tell you where to go, you have to pin your route down on the map yourself with information you get from clues and info in the game. There is combat, pretty clunky reminiscient of old school Silent Hill, but main focus is detective stuff.

Sounds a little bit like LA Noire. I'll check it out :)

Spirit Hunter: NG on Vita has been taking up my time. It’s an interesting story that has definitely held my interest. It’s an interactive visual novel. I just bought Star Ocean for PS4. Im looking forward to starting from the beginning.

Approaching the end of my second Dark Souls 3 playthrough, only this time I'm doing the DLC and playing on PC instead of PS4. It's the first time I've played since launch and after Sekiro, I didn't have as rough of a time switching play styles as I thought. I only have Midir to beat but I'm questioning whether or not I could be arsed. Getting tired of running across the arena to maybe get one hit in before the cunt flies off to the opposite side, rinse, repeat. Don't get me wrong, I've loved my second time through and the ringed city looked amazing but this fight is getting on my nerves because its more annoying than difficult. Had a few hours fun helping sunbro for people on Aldrich, the princes and Friede. Cracking end to a cracking series.

I just finished my 2nd playthrough for original RE remake as Chris on hard and I was able to save both Rebecca and Jill, that was really, really fun! I absolutely LOOOVE the entire mansion's level design, it was fun deciding which safest route to take.

Next up RE2Remake.

Just finished Aragami and as much as I love stealth games I hated many things about this game. Using powers is designed horribly. You often can't teleport somewhere, because the game has difficulty establishing the destination. It was never an issue when I used blink in Dishonored games. The game is quite janky, performance drops can be very bad (on the PS4) despite poor graphics and many empty rooms, enemies can sometimes respawn (goodbye challenges for killing everyone on the map) and the boss fights are incredibly annoying. I still have the Nightfall expansion left, but if I knew I'd dislike the base game so much I wouldn't have bought it.

I very much enjoyed replaying Mutant Year Zero and its expansion on my PS4 (I originally finished them on PC). It's one of my favorite XCOM clones. I hope we'll get Mutant 2 at some point, because even with the expansion it's still a game you wish had more content. :)

Beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It was ok. The big tittied girls and monsters were cool but ultimately it was just another WW2 shooter.

Currently I'm finding relics and doing time trials in Tomb Raider Legend. Love the emphasis on exploration and acrobatics, as a Tomb Raider game should have.

Nice, Chris playthrough requires more planning than Jill. RE2's police station level design is similarly great to the mansion, but you won't necessarily be able to explore at your leisure because of a certain something lol

Oh I know, with Chris you even have less inventory space compare to Jill and you won’t get the Grenade launcher and on hard difficulty you barely get enough bullets so you better off running away from most enemies.

One neat weapon Chris does get is Flash Grenade as defensive weapon, I sometimes let zombie capture me so I would use it and with one shot it will blow their heads off, that way I don’t have to waste time burning them in order not to turn to Crimson head.

Man, original RERemake was really blast to play, I still enjoy third person like RE4 and RE2remake but would LOVE for Capcom to make another fixed camera RE for PS4 or PS5 later on.

luigi's mansion:, played for a couple of hours, so far it's a neat game that has a ton of charm, looking forward to playing more

into the breach: just got into turn based stuff last year with valkyria chronicles and xcom: enemy unknown so im new to the genre but holy crap is this game addicting, i struggled early on but have gotten to grips with the mechanics, i unlocked the zenith class but im still maining the rift walkers,

My destiny 2 addiction won't die currently enjoying the season of dawn it's not an amazing season content-wise but I like grinding for these guns and I like grinding to get to Max gear score that said I really hope in future we get a bigger light level jump to reach as well as a bigger gear score to reach and they can compliment that with more Pinnacle activities to reach them with. the current model works but it also means that if you want to hit Max light level in a season you need to play the living crap out of that season but I think it'd be interesting if one of the mid seasons had a bigger jump than the rest and therefore even if you didn't play the season after a lot you could be way ahead just from that season instead of having to grind the crap out of every season. because honestly there's other games I'd like to play but I'm not going to allow myself to until I have every good role on every new gun and I'm Max gear score.

Today I beat Bloodstained Ritual of the Night! Was stuck on that final boss for a while, but finally beat it! Seeing those credits and hearing the celebratory music was truly cathartic after such a grueling battle with the final boss.

Bought a few PS4 digital games off PSN yesterday.
- Control
- Ratchet & Clank
- Red Dead Redemption 2

Thankfully, my backlog is around 5 games total including the above 3 games and except for Darksiders Genesis on February 14th, I have no new titles to play until REmake3 which gives me plenty of time to clear out my backlog. In the middle of a two week break from gaming due to work but once my vacation starts on January 2nd, it's time for Red Dead Redemption 2!! I figured that it's best to knock out the biggest game in my backlog first.
