Honestly, either FIFA or Madden.

Not because I care about either, but because they make EA an immense amount of money and EA is just the absolute fucking worst and doesn't deserve to exist in this day and age. Straight up a blight on the industry.

Keep in mind that this would have an effect and change the outcome of things. For example: erasing specific games could've prevented BR titles from becoming popular, or other games being erased prevented battle passes. My pick: GTA Online. The reason? It changed Rockstar. They've only put out a single game since GTAV and essentially abandoned it with no major updates or patches for current gen systems. No major expansions. GTAV itself never got any expansions either and the focus has been almost entirely on GTA Online. Sorry to any GTA Online enjoyers.

GTA Online. Single handedly ruined one of the best developers out there. It brought nothing to the table except an endless tendril reaching into people's wallets. It would be different if R* used the money to make more SP content for GTAIV, or to port the Red Dead games to PC, or speed up GTA6, but no. They used it to line Take2's pockets.

Roblox can go too.

CS/CSS/CS:2 for all the gambling.

Neverwinter Nights. My beloved Infinity Engine replaced by ugly early 3d tech. The cherry on top being the absolutely abysmal campaign, the whole package was an abomination.
Long have I heard people sing the praises of some of the fan made modules, but my disappointment with the base game left such a bad taste that I never even looked at the other content.
D&D game quality fell off a cliff after the Infinity Era, I’m hoping BG3 is the beginning of a new golden age.

Even if I really liked the first few episodes, I would be very curious to see what gaming would have looked like without Assassin's Creed ever existing.
This game alone completely changed gaming, with the focus on modern open world all following the same formula etc...

FFXV I hate how dissapointed I am with it. I also hate the "bros" theme, fuck the bros, it's lame AF. Ohh the country is in peril, ohh the love interest is missing but holdup, let's grill some sausages and smack each other butts first

I don't hate the game as much as you do but man for how much people love to tout it as the best MMO.. I just don't see it. I dislike the combat a lot and ARR was such a boring slog to go though with the constant back and forth between quests and the padding.. my god the padding.

that game is a shit stain on the franchise legacy and ruined perception of other proper linear progression RPG after that especially FF.

the company also wasted atleast 4 years for sequels that nobody want which is better be spend on developing other game or just give resource to Nomura developing Versus 13 or KH3 much earlier. the sequals actually good but it could not soar further due to its carried the shit stain name of FF13. better throw the effort on something else. could lighten the load of whole company where staff was pulled from left and right to help assist and fix FF13 and 14 1.0 too. there is also the obsession that the company had with intention of turning Lightning into some virtual star than pour attention toward making good game end up disgusted lof of fans that time.

that game also give birth to lot of fans who give pass to some unexcuseable major flaw for sake of fanboying. a products reflected by its audience after all.

Easily The Last of Us 2. it the worst thing to happen to ND/SONY for multiple reasons. Being the worst sequel of all time was just a plus.

Honorable mention: Elden Ring... the success of this fucking horrible souls game may change souls games as I knew it forever ... and then its joeover for my favorite franchise.

Fortnite is the only game I can think of that I think gaming as a whole would be better if it never existed. Maybe Overwatch as well. Those two games have set bad industry standards that almost every publisher wants to copy for their own cash cow.

It was better this way.. at least we still saw Drake keep some dignity in his own game ... the 4th one had already a shitty plot with that boss woman beating drake and his brother left to right and out smarting them the whole game ... uncharted 5 he would get the "joel treatment"... no doubt.

Reasons for hating The Last of Us 2 don't make much sense at all.
Maybe that's because I love that series.

One game I'd delete from existence is GTA Online. The focus Rockstar put in to that cause Red Dead Online to die.

Red Dead Online had so much potential to be much better if Rockstar gave it half as much attention as they did GTA Online.
